Yes there are laws to protect the consumer - they are called DONOTCALL laws AND TCPA

Under TCPA - any one who refuses to STOP calling when instructed to do so can be sued for $500 per call they make after you tell them to stop calling.

You have to do your part though - start by GOOGLING TCPA

We receive repeated and frequent calls from this private 800 number.  There are  no laws to currently protect the consumer from being annyyed, but there lasw to protect who ever wants to call and annoy consumers
