this number calls and says ive won a trip and when i wont give information and tell them not to call again and take number off their calling list the caller called me an a**hole and hung up

This number calls everyday. I don't answer unknown or 800 numbers, so I don't know what they want because they don't leave messages either.

Same sh**, since Friday afternoon, I had already 5 calls and I answered only two of those but nobody to the other side!!!! I will call my provider

After reading some other comments on this website, not this same number but complaints of the same company, these people are relentless and if they  are rude to you,or you think they didn't know you were still on the line, they know you are still there and they mean to say everything that they end up saying to you and they meant for you to hear it!....this is my experience

I have had the same problem over the last few months...They have gotten my bank routing numbers and account numbers...they say they are from a company called Premier Exotic Vacations, and say that I have won a 3 day FREE trip to where ever I want for 2 people. All I have to do is pay the $4 and some odd cents for shipping of the information packet...Do NOT believe these people. They are very persistant and very rude! A few months ago I had my bank account closed because of them. And back then when they had tried to convince me on their scam, the phone calls were around 8 or 9pm. When I hung up on the man who I origianlly talked to, he persistantly called back 3 times, and today when they tried to call again I had the woman tell me no when I said no thank you and to take my number off of their calling list. After she told me no, she told me to shut up and that she was not going to take my number off of their list! Then, she, (a heavily, asian accented woman) had the nerve to ask me if I understood english!?!?! I am a white american girl who was born in the US...I dont' even have a southern accent!!

They don't have an official website with their name, but they will try to give you another web address (if you ask for it) that you can get to their website off of...you have to subscribe and pay for this other website...don't trust it...

In conclusion, I have had this number blocked by my wireless provider...I have made a complaint to my bank, just in case this so called company tries to get into my account, I have talked with the central dispatch (non-emergency number) to let them know about my issue and they now know of this website. I have also called the DO NOT CALL registry. Their number is 888-382-1222... So if you have any problems with this company...please make sure all of your accounts are safe. And so far nothing can be done about this company other than to NOT give them your information.

Keep receiving calls from this number. No messages are left and when I try to call back the operator comes on and says call can not be made as dialed

I started to receive phone calls from this phone number yesterday; several different times but no mesage is left.

I have recieved three phone call today from this number. I say hello several times and no response. Each time they stay on the line for 5 - 15 seconds. No message left. I put on speaker phone and turned volume all they way up, in order to hear if there was a call center noise in the background, but line was silent.

I'm getting calls from this number 1 or 2 times a day now since Monday 8/30/2010. As soon as they start talking about how I've won a 3 days 2 night stay at a resort I say I'm not intersted in this they hang up. Yesterday I tried to just say please don't call me again and only got out Please they hung up. What can I do to STOP them from calling?

I would like to report harrassing phone calls from 888-000-8899.  I receive about 5 calls a day and nobody speaks they just hang up.  I tried to call back and there is no answer.  This is obviously a phone scam.  Please stop this immediately.

Got a call from this number 2 times today. Told the guy not to call my number for any sales call and he got verbally abusive on the phone.

My little brother just told me about 5 minutes ago that he's been getting phonecalls at least twice a day, every day for the past month from the number 888-000-8899. They leave him voicemails sometimes and the last one was in a different language that we can't even identify. My little brother is 14 and this freaks me out. How can we make this stop??

Got a call from 8880008899......stupid call....No one can take action against it.

If they are calling your cell you can assing the number the ring tone "no ring".  It won't stop the calls but it will end the interruptions.

they called me just now, came across caller id as 7777777777. ok folks here what i did and maybe it will work for them not to call back...first thing i told the guy i couldnt understand him and made him spell his name...TWICE,,then made him spell the company name..TWICE...then throughout the call i just kept saying.."i understand" and let him go through his whole 6 minute schpiel...then at the end he was like "ok i need to transfer you to the verification department, i then said "oh, no..im not interested" you could hear it in his voice, he was SO frustrated...he said..i KNEW IT,i KNEW you were just kidding with me..i said no..you called me and wanted to talk so i let you talk...he sai d" no no no  you were playing a joke on me"...

a few notes.
#1.. these guys get paid commission so making them go through it all and then not buying HURTS their feelings.
#2...after that, they are more likely to code your number as a bad number in the system, cause the last thing that person wants to do is have to call you again (their supervisors listen and they know this so they HAVE to go through the whole presentation or they will get fired. So they dont want to call you again. They will mark you as bad number or deceased or something in the computer.
#3  ..i thought this was common knowledge, bit i see alot of comments about hang ups, so i'll explain......the reason so often there is no one there when you pick up is this,,,They use an automated dialer. I'll explain how this works.

Automated dialer logic:
Let's say its a 40 seat call center.
They have T1 phone line with 100 line capability.
The dialer is constantly dialing all 100 lines.
If the dialer gets a busy signal it hangs up, marks it as busy as queues that number to be redialed in 5 minutes.
If it gets an answering machine or voice mail it hangs up and put the number in the queue to be dialed again at it's designated spot on the list (however big that list is (the smaller the list the more often you get calls)
If the dialer gets a person it keeps the line open and waits for HOPEFULLY one of the 40 agents to NOT be on the phone, If 5 seconds (or whatever its set at) goes by, it hangs up on you and put you back in the queue

SO the best thing you can do is keep them on the phone and frustrated them Or if you cant stand to talk to them, tell them to hang on a minute and then set the phone down forever till they finally hang up.

Reputable companies WILL respond to a COURTEOUS request to "place me on your do not call list". Use those words. theres no mistaking that request. Disreputable ones, of course wont.

Continuously calling but not leaving a message. Learned a long time ago if it is important they will leave a brief message and what the call is in regards to. I also have learned to hang up on people that I can not understand. My mother is not from this country but speaks English very well. Practice our language and speak clearly or go back to your country. Sorry but it bugs me to not understand someone and then they are rude because I tell them I don't understand them.

yes this happend to me and they gave a return number
but it was a answering service for a doctors office
and the women said she did not know anyting of they alpine service.

I got a few calls from this number, all missed calls. I answered the phone this evening though and I wanted to know what he was selling, his response was, "a smile".  I was irritated and my husband wanted to know who was on the phone, I handed it to my husband and he told my husband that he is a bad husband and that I was his "barbie doll".  He also told my husband that I was his, "beautiful flower".   My husband finally said, "hey, if you don't quit calling, I'm going to call the cops".  That's all it took, it just happened, but so far he hasn't called back yet.

I have recieved many calls from this phone number and they hang up.  Today they actually talked and when I asked them where they wer from he said Shrilanka and do I have a problem dealing with him because of that.  I asked them for a web sit and they gave me clubalpine.com which does not exist there address they gave me was 4954 South Campus Drive in Salt Lake City Utah which does not exist.  I started to believe him then when I decided no thanks and we got off the phone he called back with attitude and them put me on the phone with someone with more attitude.  Pretty much told them where they could put it with there attitude and they hung up.  Hopefully they wont call back.  I sure hope people are not stupid enough to fall for this scam!!

OK, so at least I'm not the only one.    Have been receiving tons of these calls on my work blackberry for several weeks now.  Just got this # about 3 months ago, so not sure how long the # was out of the rotation.   One the few times they actually speak, I have asked, then demanded, to be removed from their list.  One Indian guy said they will continue to call until I purchase their services.   You call the # back, and it appears to be a non legit phone #.  I have already tried to contact Verizon, and they're mostly worthless in this situation.  I have started a claim with my local district attorney, as well as state attorney general.  

On one day alone, there were 37 calls, right after the other.  V/M, but nothing was ever said.   I have a voice recorder app that I'm trying to use next time they call, but lately, they don't even say anything you when you pick up the phone.

scam scam scam!!   Don't tell these people anything. just hang up and never answer..block the number if you can so they can't leave voice mail.

I got a call from them this morning on my cell phone.  I didn't answer it because I don't normally answer calls from toll free numbers.  It went to my voicemail and they didn't leave a message.

I agree that the government def needs to get on this! I tried my police station, but they don't do those kinds of investigations. So idk what to do.
