I got a call from this number, but BofA gave me a heads up that they would be calling. It was in regards to my mortgage financing, and it was legit. I would pick up the call if you are in the process of any type of financing.

Just missed the call early in the morning, and called them back after verified with Bank of America, they are from Lend safe credit.

I just got a call from this number on my office phone but they asked for my mother. I haven't lived with her since I got married 19 years ago so that was very odd. After I told them that they hung up.

I do not believe it is a legit company, the person who says legit here is talking like not a borrower. I got this call too. bogus!

I'm getting a mortgage from Countrywide and Landsafe is a company owned by them. They have called me from this number. This is legit.

LandSafe is a legit company, Bank of America uses them, as well as a number of other banks and mortgage lenders. Due to privacy reasons, they will not be able to disclose who your lender is until they have verified that they are speaking to the correct person. This is for your privacy.
If you have applied for a mortgage your lender will have sent you an opening package with a number of disclosure documents. One of them will have a title 'Affiliated Business Disclosure', which the bank has to provide per Federal Law. The document outlines any subsidiary companies that your lender has a relationship with, or could potentially have a hand in your loan. LandSafe should be on this document.

Land Safe is legit, if you're applying for a loan. BOA uses them for credit checks.

I did received a phone call from them too. I was also put on three way to verify the amount that according to them was under my name that i still owe. I knew the company and went ahead with it, but after that they were requesting for my wife to call them back so what i did was contact my realtor, loan officer and the bank to verify if this company is legit and that they deal with them for credit verification. We are also in a process of closing a deal for a house we've been waiting for. So just a thought for everybody, check with everybody that is involved (whether you are buying or re-financing) before you move forward. So far i haven't heard from anybody. Although i looked at their website and they basically deal with banks and other companies that gives out loans.

I, too, got a phone call from this "company" asking me to call back. My husband and I are in the process of buying a house, but I was afraid to call back because I didn't want to be scammed. Glad I checked out this number. What some people won't do!

Received message on work phone to contact "Stephanie" at the number given with an extension, concerning our refi. Could not make out name of company from person answering phone. Stephanie was not available, on other call, worked with Beverly, she put through a 3 way call to my bank with no information from me. She had my name, account number and only asked for principal balances and regular payment due amounts from the bank rep with my permission. Before giving permission I repeated to all on the phone that I needed to know the name of the company, its location (Texas) and its purpose. All this checked out so I gave permission to the bank to release the information while I listened. All seemed legitimate in light of the information that was provided to me. Thanks for the previous updates, it helped me to be more cautious.

I received call from someone supposedly from Land Safe Credit. I asked if I could return their call, and I did so. Sounded legit, as I too was refinancing; however, then I was put on a three way call with a credit union that I supposedly had an account with, which I did not and was asked to verify account number and social security number. I finally told them I was not comfortable giving out personal info in this way. They said thank you, goodbye rather quickly!

Was called by someone supposedly in Costa Rica claiming to be Land Safe Credit who does credit checks for mortgage companies. He wanted to verify a bank account for a bank we do not bank at and could not give me the names on the account.
