Got a call from Mary saying "it's very important that you call back the firm". uh huh, and what firm would that be?  message was hard to hear.  "Mary"  mumbled the message. Didn't seem all that bright to me.  SCAM SCAM SCAM.

The company PMCW is a SCAM!  They called and said that I owed money from an unpaid credit card that I never owned and they listed about 6 addresses they had for me since they wanted to serve me papers.  Only two of them were correct (so they were just guessing).  Also they told me an incorrect name for my wife and gave me two social security numbers (one of which was mine), so that is scary.  Talked to the police and a lawyer.  My lawyer said the case number they gave me was the first thing that told him it was a scam.

PMCW called my sister's cell phone and ask to speak to me.  She politely let them know that this wasn't my number but she would forward the info to me and ask them to remove her number (they said no to the number removal).
When I received info and case# from my sister, I placed a call to them.
Spoke with a lawyer by the name of Rick Gamble.
They was letting me know that they were from a law firm and was turned over to them a charge off debt of $250 that I still needed to pay because of lawyer fees. I ask them the name of the Credit Card Company and it took them a while to tell me that as if they were searching for something.  The bluntly said to me that I need to make a payment today and I ask for the address because all I could send in today was $25.00 since I am disabled and unemployed and he said that was not good enough. I also ask them if they could please remove my sister cell number and they said no because it is a legal matter and it is not illegal to keep calling her.  Then threaten me with serving me and finding all of my liquid assets to pay a charged off debt.  Then they hung up on me.  I was kind of confused and look up the company to no avail but found a lot of comments on the internet about this fake company.

If you get a call from this number and call back, they won't give you a company name. I convinced them to send me a letter. It's PMCW. Here are a number of complaints filed against them, and their previous company names to both FTC and BBB. My advice is to call whomever they claim the debt is to, and deal with them directly. There are statutes of limitations, Federal laws they have to abide by, and a number of things in place to protect you from these scams. Christopher Johnson isn't a real person, and PMCW is trying to defraud you.

Be smart. Pay off your debts, but do it to who you actually owe. Don't let anyone steal from you. I've spent hours researching and reporting on these guys. Don't let them take your hard earned money, or steal your identity. I checked my credit history and found where one of their parent companies ran my report to try and garner information for the fraud. So many complaints have been lodged, that the FTC actually has a cease and desist in place against them.

It was a person from a law office saying I was being served papers for not paying an outstanding debt.  I just read an article on Yahoo/ABC news that talked about this.
