Answered call, but there was no respone so I hung up.

got this call 9 times in a row in a space of 12 minutes....

every single time - no one there....

...sigh...idiots!!!! but I added the # to my Concierge service and will never ever get same again....

Keep geting automated call for someone I do not know around 11 am everyday. Had to call 7 times before i got ahold of someone before being disconnected (I am on a land line, not cell phone). Once I got ahold of someone named girt i first told him that i had called 7 times in 5 minutes and kept geting disconnected and that if I was disconnected again I was going to make a complaint with the BBB and the FTC. When I told him that I wanted my number removed, he said it was already removed from the system and that it will take 24 hours to take effect. I told him that if I get anymore calls after 24 hours from the time that I get off the phone that I will contact the FTC. Lets see if the calls stop

using "slydial" , this number appeared when i tested it using my home phone to my cell phone... everything worked fine with it, except that that number came up in my caller Id instead of my house number...

I think this is a calling card. I have been getting hang-up calls from this # since my husband starting having sex with (Laurel)Nan Berger. Her cell # is 208-290-7314 & her home # is 208-263-2511. Her mailing address is P.O. Box 541, Kootenai, ID 83840.  Her street address is 1606 N. Kootenai Rd., Sandpoint, ID 83864.

Called me several time on the same day, and tell me get the wrong number.

They keep calling - I answer- they hang up. I call back, get dead air.  Grrrrr

Received call on my cell phone at 2:28am. Didn't answer. Tried to look up who made the call and the info was unavailable.

Didn't answer phone, don't respond to calls from toll free numbers unless it's afterhours with free minutes.

This is the number that shows up on a person's caller id whenever we call long distance from our unlisted home number. We've complained to our local phone comany and Verizon, but no resolution yet.

This is good evidence that you DO know the caller and that they are using a service with a phone company (probably Verizon) that uses this particular avenue to place the call. The caller very likely has no idea that their number is coming up this way. It is a pre=paid long-distance program where you pay and it never expires and you can dial normally from your phone instead of messing with a calling card.

This is actually a phone number that is a "path" for making long distance calls with a pre-paid plan from Verizon. This is news to me that this service exists. The guy who called me from it says that Verizon doesn't tell you your number will come up this way. Same thing happens when you call from a calling card. It could be any crazy number and it changes every time (I used to make business calls using calling cards.)

Call was from my Mom. Seems when she calls, she has an odd number every time she calls out of state. Will try to update if the number rotates.

Have received several calls from this # but didn't answer since # was not recognized, calls made anywhere from 9pm to 2am. Called back once and "Marion" answered

Just got a call from the number.

The funny thing about it is, immediately after I got the call, I got a second one. On my cell phone.

I think I'm legitimately confused.

This call is from a GISOL.COM (Global Internet Solutions).  They are a web hosting company that is highly corrupt.  They are probably calling to scam you, especially if they are already providing you with web hosting service. Google "gisol.com" to learn more.   If you are involved with GISOL in any way, you should cancel all service and report any poor behavior to the BBB.

Got two calls, one right after the other, on a Saturday afternoon. Don't usually answer calls I don't recognize, even on a "free" day. Doubt it's a legit call, esp. 888 AC. Put the number in google to see if it's a scam and found this website ... good idea for tracking these jerks.

I have received several calls from this number lately and a few times I answered but no one was there.  This is frustrating and I wish they would stop.  I have put a block on the "Unknown" calls so now the number shows but it says Caller Unknown.  I have also listed my number on the "Do Not Call List" but this will not stop charities, political parties, or basically anyone looking for a donation.

so how do you know it wasn't for you?  i answered on a line that belonged to my failed business.  the caller asked for me but not in the version of my name that i go by.  i told she had the wrong number and she kept calling back.  could have been an old customer, tho!
So, between these two postings, we really don't know if the number belongs to anyone we know!

I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer the call.
