Nationwide. I used their website last night for an auto insurance quote, phone number was required...should have provided a fake one. Their quote was ridiculously higher than the rest, so I abandoned the quote, now they are cold calling me. Ahh well, another number on the reject list, let them waste their time calling, maybe that's why their prices are so high.

Called my work when I was out to lunch. I got the message from fellow employee that Nationwide called with this number. They said something about an auto quote online. I was never at their website and never inquired about a quote. Puzzled as to how they got my name and work number.

I got a call from this number and could not understand a single word of it. The female speaking on the phone talked like she was being timed. OMG annoying as hell.

Found this phone # on my phone --called it back to see who it was & it rang and rang ,then finally it made a strange noise & hung up.

Compared insurance quotes online and within minutes started receiving a barage of phone calls. So far, no deal is better (by a long shot) than what I currently have, so I don't plan on switching. Since they provide the quotes online, I'm not sure why they insist on calling if the person already has the information that they were looking for. I'm hoping that the calls don't last too long otherwise this is going to drive me nuts!

Nationwide Insurance, I requested a homeowner's quote, they called for an auto quote, then in discussing the homeowners they hemmed, hawed and hedged... Clearly not very interested in writing a policy. Would not waste my time with them.

Well I guess Nationwide is not on my side

Nationwide calling after receiving an online quote for auto insurance.

Nationwide. I do not do business with them and have not requested any quotes. So they are just calling to try to sell.

This is Nationwide. I was getting quotes from various companies last night and they are calling to follow up. I was delighted to get a quote for almost 1/2 of what I'm paying now, 50% or more below other quotes I got (State Farm, ESurance, Geico) and for more coverage.

Nationwide.
Your phone number was used for an online quote. Though the agent that called me didnt know what kind of insurence I was quoted on, he just had my number to cold call he said.
Tell them you already purchased it and they take your right off the call list.

Yes, it is Nation Wide..... I got called 3 hours after asking for a price quote online.
I'm like everyone else just looking to save money. Geico offered more at almost half the cost.

I work in IT for Nationwide, and apparently I was sent a letter offering a car insurance quote (Working for a large company, it's not strange to receive many communications about services along with pertinent info for employees). Got called and they left a voicemail.
I didn't solicit any contact regarding car insurance, so I really hope they're just doing a one time check since I'm an employee, and not calling people cold.

getting calls from "nationwide insurance". I have never asked for a quote from them. ever! And now they are bugging me on my cell. .
| Yvette 2011-07-14 15:06:39 Unknown |
It's no longer "legit" if they won't accept "no" and keep calling. It shouldn't have to go as far as writing a letter or filing a complaint.
| web user 2011-07-14 01:46:35 Unknown |
Nationwide will call you up to 5 times and then you are dropped from their call list. This applies to the call center. However agents also are able to get your number off the computer and they may call as well. If you don't want them to call then simply tell them that you arent interested any longer. The two system are seperate so while the agents may know that you have already gotten a policy the call center is not aware of it. Just tell them that you have already signed up and they will say ok I will update my system. You wont hear from the call center again unless you request another quote.

Have never requested online quote but got one unsolicited call from them and they left message. Next day another call no message. I hate they are using my cell phone minutes to solicit car insurance. I am happy with company and agent I have and no desire to switch. How do I get my number off their call list.

If you don't want people to call you, don't give out your personal cell phone number! You signed up to get a quote from Nationwide, so their calls are legit. Call them back and tell them you are no longer interested, and to take you off their call list. In addition, follow-up with a written letter, and keep a copy. If you keep getting calls after they got the letter, file a complaint with your local state consumer protection agency or with the FCC.
