calling my daughters work to get a package to me.... a scam that could cost her job .. do not call her

Hi I just had a call from my brother he had a txt from them and I called and all I got was a voice mail with no company name the person that I left a message for is Ann and she just said that I would have a parcel delivered from Quebec, if it turns out to be a collection agency I will contact CRTC. same thing is happening to me they call my moms everyday called before looking into it stupid me !!! anyhow i will be sure to tell my mom next time they call to tell them to stop calling or something will happen ~~
the girls name was apparently sophia and i had a parcel but im pretty sure a week ago they called my moms looking for my boyfriend very weird dont even bother calling hope people look on here before calling unlike me ~!

I got a call as well, not expecting any deliveries either. Message said to call 888-224-0235 ext#4390 because they attempted delivery and no one was home. Glad I checked the number first...thanks everyone!!!

these guys called me then called my parents.  Don't know how the heck they got my parents's number, because i would never give it to order a package.  They told my father they were from Speedy Courier Service and wanted my address.  Fortunately, my dad had no idea and just took a message.  I didn't order anything and assume it's a collector cause I am in a bad state right now.  Ignore them.

Same number called my parents house this week saying they had a parcel to deliver for me at their address... WHAT????
Anyway...They didn't get any deliveries but it looks like the call was from a collection agency.
Doesn't make much sense if you ask me.

Speedy Courier is really a service used by lawyers working to collect debts owned to the banks, they are trying to find you so they can serve you papers to sue you. I know this for a fact as I've been hiding from them now for over 1 yr I owe the banks a lot of money, I mean a freaking lot...

They use other companies also, but Speedy Courier will use reverse directories to call your neighbours to past messages on to you, hell they even tracked down my step daughter, have no idea how they did that she has a different last name through marriage, but they told her to past the message on so they could contact me.

i live in ontario canada and i keep getting voicemails on my cell phone from this number.  Caller is female and says shes calling from Speedy Courier and that she is "trying to deliver a package from the states but no one is answering the door at your '______' Street address.  Have you moved recently? Call me back at this number to confirm your shipping address"   Then my father called me and told me that someone had called HIS house looking for me and could HE give them my new address.  I told him not to give them any information and looked up the phone number on yellowpages.CA and got a blocked name from Escondido California. It was tollfree so i called it and the answering service was not a professional service and when it was time to leave a message i said I had just received a phone call from them but that i didnt order anything from the states so i think we're done here.  

I have also received calls from the following numbers every 8 hours or so for the past 4-5 days:

760 705 8888 (escondido, CA)
925 203 3210 (pittsburg, CA)
484 690 2214 (PA, USA -dont ask me why it came up as the entire state calling)

It is driving me NUTS! and I dont know where they got my number because i havent been on any websites i'm not regularly on, or written or typed my number down anywhere and the fact that this has all occured in the last few days leads me to believe they all got my number from the same place at the same time.   Do they not have DNC lists in the states? the only scamming/telemarketing calls ive received since that law came out in Canada have been calls from the states...

Got a yellow card today. Called the number as I am awaiting a delivery and thought this was it. I didn't leave a message but they called me back even though my number is unlisted and should NOT appear on their end ( WTF! ) Anyways they asked for me by name. I said I can pick up the parcel give me the address in my city...response was "Oh no it is in Mississauga" Pretty sure it is a collection agency attempting to track me down...good luck a****oles, I'm moving in a week!

I also received a yellow card from "Speedy Courier" and a call from Distributel about an international delivery. Having read some of the posting below I can assume this is someone trying to serve me with legal papers. A collection agency is most likely behind this, probably GLOBAL COLLECTION AGENCY in Canada. Just ignore or tell them like I did: NICE TRY.

Someone called about a package to be delivered to my home which i did order something, however i give my work address because that is why it was to be delivered.

if its a scam, what i want to know is whats the scam? because they dont seem to be doing anything except sending false notices

Got a call, display said Distributel, message was the same as people are reporting here about a package but callback number was this one and not Distributels. Distributel has a website purporting that they provide internet and phone service so I assume these scammers are using Distributel to mask their true identity.

Also, i forgot to mention, she said it was a package which was insured so they couldn't just leave it on my door step and she said her offices were in toronto, canada.

Got a call from some sarah trying to deliver a package from new york, saying she was with speedy courier, trying to get address of my work and what not, i knew it was a scam and never gave her anything, when and if she calls back i'm gonna give her s***.

I received a letter in the mail from Speedy Courier Services Inc. stating "We are sorry that we missed you recently. Please call our office to arrange for an alternative delivery date. 1-888-224-0235x7018..."
I called and the call would not go through so I Googled the phone number and this site came up. Total scam!!! I will report this bogus activity!

Just got the yellow card, name etc. written in ballpoint in what looks like a 12-years-old's hand.  It's heading for the shredder, but not till I soak the stamp off; it wasn't cancelled.  Not a total waste of time.

According to the Googles, Distributel is a phone and internet company, this may just be a trick to sign you up and not an actual scam.

My other half received a yellow orange post card yesterday form Speedy Courier Services Inc. yesterday by mail.  Strange for a courier service to send a RUSH waybill by Canada Post.  Only the name was listed plus 1-888-224-0235 ext.5892 with an expiry date of Dec. 14.  I looked up the name online and didn't find anything(local or provincial) and they weren't in the telephone book under courier, so I called the Regional Fraud dept., and she said if we hadn't ordered anything and weren't expecting anything, to shred it.

Hi there. Today i got the same yellow card in the mail as some of you have described. It has ano expiration date on it with the name "speedy courier service in" with the telephone number 1 888 224 0235 ext 2045. Its a complete scam and i suggest anyone eles to ignore

Got a call from these scumbags several days ago. The message said there was a US parcel, had to be delivered to me personally as they had to have my signature. Call 1-888-224-0235 ext 5715 ask for Sabrina. Did so as I was expecting a parcel from the US. No callback no reply.

My recommendation - *** IGNORE!!!! ***.

Collection agencies and there agents have a governing body and are licensed. I can assure you this type of practise is not allowed, You can file a complaint against them.

In Canada there is a Consumer and Corporate Affairs office in every province.

tried to get personal information, and when i refused, a collection agency called saying i left a message for them.

i too just checked my mail and had a yellow card from Speedy Courier Services Inc.  I called the number and it said leave a message, but there was no way i was leaving a message.  I googled the number and here i am.. I am also going to call the crtc, this is very shady whatever they want.

I recieved a call from 888-224-0235, said it was a package from TD bank, I dont have an account with them, I called and was an anwering service with an extension.  They contacted my landlord said they had a big package.  Dont call these people.

got call from this number, asking for return call with extension 5457 re a waybill number to arrange delivery.  however, search for any business with name of "speedy courier" resulted in nothing listed whatsoever.  typically i have found couriers attempt delivery, and if that fails, they leave a notice card indicating where the item can be picked up.  since that didn't happen, that's why I considered it was likely some kind of scam.  never returned the call for that reason.  a legit courier/delivery service would just leave the notice card as far as my experience goes.

Don't do it... its a trap!!!!!!!!     They are lying to you... they are trying to find your location so that they can serve you with Legal papers...

Got a call today from unkown number.  A lady by the name of Sarah left a voice mail saying she was from Speedy Courier and had a package for me and I was to call her at 1-888-224-0235 ext.6275.  I did call her and left a voice mail.  I wish I had googled this first before calling and leaving her my home and cell #.  These people are truly sick.  For people to do this as a living I really hope they enjoy life in hell cause this is were they belong.  At this point I am so sick of these companies and there schemes they should be slapped with a hugh lawsuit.  Is anyone interested in helping me???  They have crossed the privacy laws and keep harassing people at their home and work. I will be reporting this to the CRTC and like i said I want to start a huge lawsuit against these collection please let me know if your interested>>>.

got a call and was told that they were delivering magazines.  that i had to be home at a certain time to pick it up.  what does it mean...spoke to a girl  - now that they have my info - will i start to get billed?
