I get a call from 888-226-1843, but ring once then nothing.  I answered the call once because I'm so annoyed that this people call me at least 3-5 times a day.  I get it, I do have some debt that I need to handle, but when I called these debt collector to settle my debt issue, they asked for my SSN, because for some reason they do not have my account number.  When I provided them with my account number, I was informed that they cannot find that number so my SSN would be more appropriate.  AH, NOT!!!  I agree with "Innocent As Ever", I also have horrible credit already and am not interested in fixing it any more, since I'm not sure if these debt collectors are legit.  So THEY ARE OUTTA LUCK, JACK!!!!!!  

These people are pretty dumb. They are sending letters for the former owner of our house, he was foreclosed on in 2003 and has not lived here since. I just write on the letters not at address for 10 years, and send them back. A month later they send another one. I can't even keep track of how many they have send and Ive returned.

These jokers break the law right and left.  They recently called my office about a vehicle debt that was from 10 years ago that was on a VAN that was repossessed and the account closed 9 years ago.  The man pretended to be an attorney and was trying to tell me that the latest charge off was less than 3 years ago and that they were going to sue me if I did make some sort of payment.  I was curious about this guy wondering what kind of drugs he was using.  I looked up the account and found  that TD Auto Finance had purchased this old debt from a line of six different financial collectors dating all the way back to GMAC who had the loan 9 years ago.   There were 7 charge off dates with the last one 2 and 1\2 years ago.  Rather than using the last payment date from 9 years ago he was using the last charge off date from TD Auto finance. These people are not only annoying but incredibly stupid

888-226-1843 on caller ID. I'm glad that I didn't answer after reading all the comments about it. I don't have and have never had an overdue account that could have gone to collection since 1969.

comes up unavailable on caller ID, no message as to who the want. I called back and ask who they are looking for..they wont tell me. I asked for them to put this number on the do not call list...since they could not state who they want. she said she could not do that unless I tell them who I am. I said don't you have caller Id....she says yes then I said then you know who I am, and my phone number. If you have no business with the name on the caller ID then do not call this number again. she said no I can not do that until you tell me what your name and phone number is....we argued a few times as she still would not tell me who she wanted to talk to. I eventually hung up. I do not have any business with Northland Group, nor have anything that would be in collection. they really should state who they are looking for. why would someone not tell you? you would like to think they would be up front, so they do not continually call the wrong number....how do you collect money that way.

Please stop calling.  The BBB has been made aware of the harassment phone calls, and yes they will take action.  Dealing with a pastor/attorney is absolutely the wrong person to harass.  Obviously, the person whose phone number I got was in a financial pickle.  Leave me and my family alone, we are upstanding non-pickle jar people who borrow money on credit. We have always practiced life the way Jim Burkett taught us, which is obviously something your company should research.

Ahhh....gotta LOVE today's new cell phones (smartphones).  Mine has a call reject list feature.  You enter the annoying caller's phone number, and the call is rejected before it can even get through.

Called number back, Northland Group, aske why they called, they said personal matter, when they would not say what that matter was, they askd if iwas so and so, told them it didn't matter who I was, why are they calling, " well, I guess you are not so and so then" was thier reply, told them guess not, stop calling this number, will see how that works... probably from an old debt from  a divorce over 11yrs ago....not mine....

They keep calling me so I called them back with *67 to see who it was & it was Northstar Group, whoever that is.

SCAM.   These folks seem to call periodically, asking for a person who has NEVER had this number.  There is NO way to stop them unless you block them.  We have had this number for 28 years, and don't have any debt.  The names that they say that they are calling for, vary, so apparently they just make it all up.  
DNC is NOT enforced ... and the criminals are allowed to endlessly harass.   Just the way it is (but wish it weren't so).

At 8:37PM CST today, I received a call from you at XXX-XXX-XXXX from the number 888-226-1843 and did not leave a message. I called back and I asked who this was and what they wanted. She mumbled her name and company then didn't ask what phone number I was calling from, then she asked my name. I said, "I'm not telling you who I am, YOUR company called ME, tell ME who YOU are". She yelled, very rudely, "I already told you..Angela from VSC! What is your name?" (she still never asked for my telephone number). I figured it was irrelevant since it was probably a wrong number, so giving my name would turn up nothing. Even if this is a legitimate debt (which I doubt) this was still very rude and unprofessional behavior.

This letter will serve as your legal notice under provisions of federal law, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), to cease telephone communication with me in regard to this debt. I also want an explanation of the debt and to whom it is owed sent to me by postal mail and/or email to the contact information above.
If you fail to heed this notice, I will file a formal complaint against you with the Federal Trade Commission who is responsible for enforcement, the States Attorney General office and/or the American Collectors Association or local State Bar Association.

The Only Way To Stop These Kinds Of Calls Is To Make Them Pay. Always Answer - They Have To Pay For Completed Call.  Keep Them Talking As Long As Possible With Fake Info So They Have To Pay More.

Just received a call from this number looking for Ricardo. It is a new phone number for us and No Ricardo lives here. The prior owner of this number didn't pay his bills we get calls from Chase etc.
