After I bought from Thompson, they deluged me with calls for almost a week.  I finally answered a call and simply told them that if they called me again, I would never buy anything from them in the future.
The calls stopped immediately, and they have never called me since............

Thompson likes to call right after you make an order on line to make more.  Received 2 calls in 2 days since my order.  Not quite sure why they call right after for more.

The call was from Thompson Cigar; they were following up on my order.  While I understand all the negative comments by people here regarding the annoying telemarketer aspect of their calls - I'd like to point out that if you tell them not to call - they wont call you.  In addition, when I spoke to them, I told them exactly why I don't shop with them often (good prices on samplers but LOUSY prices on box qty plus they rarely carried my favorite brand - A. Fuente) and - lo and behold - they LISTENED.  I can't believe it was only because of my feedback but Thompson has reduced their box qty prices AND they expanded their Fuente offerings.  In fact, I just purchased a box from them and received it today. And, without fail, they called me up to confirm the shipment and get my feedback.  I don't call that annoying - I call that a company that is trying to improve their customer experience!  (BTW - I do NOT work for them - I run a printing plant in Oregon....

I had ordered cigars for my husband last evening, so I figured that's why they called. I didn't answer because I didn't know who was calling.

I stopped ordering from Thompson Cigar's 15 years ago after they sent me a box of moldy awful smelling cigars that were obviously sent with full knowledge of the condition since they wreaked from outside the shipping package upon receipt.  Recently a co-worker forwarded me an email with a Really Good Deal! so I ordered it for for a friend.  They immediately charged my credit card and 3 weeks go by without a package or email or anything.  Upon calling them from my work phone I find out it is on back-order and I could not get it by Christmas (the order was to be a gift).  Then they charged my credit card again when they finally shipped it after the new year.  Now I am getting phone calls at work (a number I never added to my account info) from this number 888-229-9668?  I tried to call the number back, but get put into a holding loop and never have a live person pick up.

I agree.  They are a pest and won't tell you who they are.

Just got another call from them after warning the company by email that I would buy from any other company if it continued.  Well ........... goodbye Thompson Cigars.

ordered a Sampler from Thompson Cigars and have received an annoying phone call from them every morning for 3 days straight. I finally just blocked that number on my phone.
I will never order from Thompson Cigars again.

Reported it to Do Not Call dot gov because I am registered.
Called the number and Thompson Cigar Company answered, phone room noise in background.
I said to the young gentleman that answered, I reported you to the Do Not Call website, and please take me off your list. He agreed politely to do so. We'll see if it happens.

I started getting calls from them 2 days ago....they have called my home and my personal cell twice each day.  I had to Google the number and came across this site.  Weird thing is I've never heard of them or ordered from them.

I took T's advice it listed the number that they are calling me from.

From the day that I place the order,till now which is 3 days I got the call on my cell everyday,and I gotta tell you that it is really annoying,and I am planning to make a complaint directly to them and asked them to remove my number from their directory.

Unfortunately, I didn't read up on Thompson before I ordered.  There is a LOT of negative feed back out there about this company... these unwanted phone calls included.  After my order comes (IF it ever comes, its been two weeks) I am going to send a request via snail mail and e-mail to cease all contact.

I have done business with these clowns on and off for 25 years. They have good cigars but incompetent management. One example was a false description of a product in their paper catalog. I bought one and discovered the error. I phoned them to report the error. The next catalog still had the false description.

I closed my account with Thompson Cigars, which in itslef was a pain because it took about 4 tries before they actually closed it. Now they're calling me every day or so. really getting annoying!

I live in Oklahoma,I used to order cigars from thompson,but they kept sending me crap,so i e-mailed them and called them,and told them to not send me any more catalogs,and i would not be buying anymore cigars,but they keep sending me books.
Why must they call, and not leave a name.I can buy and do buy better cigars from my own area.

Nothing like receiving a message in all caps, with no information.

I bought cigars from them a couple years ago.

You can go into your account with them and change your phone number to a non-working number.  It stops them calling you.  Problem solved.

If you are a company selling a good product at a good price, WHY CHEAPEN YOURSELF TO THESE CALLS?  Ordered for the first time from them just a week ago - keep getting phone calls, found out it was them.  Caller ID states "Unknown Name" - yeah, just to get you to answer.  They call and no one is on the line.  Ridiculous.  Will probably cancel all contact with them.

Caller --> Thomson Cigar, just placed an order within 24 hours i dont know if it was dead air or i didnt answer it on time, but calling now to find out why they called. Justin answered called stated that order shipped out and wanted to set me up with that club that will automatically take out from my credit card. Declined, will follow up if i keep getting unwanted phone calls.

Ugh, i was afraid of this. I was hesitant to give them my number, but i figured they wouldn't do this kind of thing. I guess i was mistaken

Odd dialing pattern. They always call at dinnertime and usually hang up before anyone speaks. They have good cigars and great deals. Why do they spoil it with this kind of cheap stunt.

Thompson Cigar Company I even told them to put me on "no call list" and they keep calling me, unreal.

I just ordered from Thompson Cigars and now I just got a call from this number.  I was no home to answer it and ther was no voice mail left.

I have the same problem. I just ordered from them for Father's Day and I have gotten NO LESS than two calls a day from them, which I do not answer. Is there any way to get them to stop calling??
