New low, they have contacted my parents wanting our number!  Claim they have "good news" for us.  Glad I checked out this website first!  If it isn't Publisher saying I won, I don't receive any good news!

I get about 10 calls a day from these people also AMEX I just have them all listed under F**king credit cards on my cell and leave the home phone to ring with no answering machine. The amount they asking for drops everytime i get a letter from them when its down to 10c on the dollar Ill pay it Why ? because 90% of the bill is late charges and interest . They have now taken to using spoofed numbers ( local ) so be earned it could be them calling .. the answer if someone wants to talk to me they will leave a number

You know after hearing all this I am soooo glad I never bothered answering the phone. I knew it was for some bill I owed. Here too, I have lost my home, a boat & onthe verge of losing my car and I'm lucky to pay for electric each month. I am self employed and thought business would never get as bad as it is. Now I'm stuck trying to save the business because my credit is shot to hell. I'm also trying to get another job but a lot of employees base the hiring on credit scores. So no jobs for me... plus I'm not a spring chicken anymore. It's like "They" are trying to get everyone on GOV aid or something??? This country is in a mess. By the looks of it we all in it together.

Collection Agency for AMEX

I have been trying to juggle my bills and having to make the choice to pay for food and rent or a credit card collection agency I think surving is a lot more important.  I have gotton many calls from these a**holes and this one woman has belittled me and called me names and told me that I was just playing games with her.  These people are so unprofessinal that this whole company should be shut down

too many collection agencies hire anybody off the street to work on commission, they break every rule put in place by the FTC, such as threats of arrest for non-pmt, threats of leagal action, garnishment, with no legal right to file legal action (3rd party collection agencies must be licensed in your state in order to bring suit against you) calling employers, neighbors, family members, sending letters that appear to be an official legal document from a court.  this is all illegal and currently being practiced on a regular basis by most collection agencies.  the majority of the comsumers you see complaining about the collection process are victims of this harrassment and abuse of the law.  not because they JUST owe the debt.

i have been making regular payments to pay off my debt as quickly as possible.  i had lost my job, but had no intention of letting this debt go.  one month they did not take the money out of my account on time and i was charged $100 extra.  i can prove the money was available in my account and stayed there until they finally did take it.

these people contacted my ex-husband, told him that they would put a derogatory on their accounts if mine wasn't settled.  that's not even legal.  they are just liars.

Alexandria William told me the charge would be reversed.  Now she is no longer there and no one else acknowledges the error.  They say because they had the wrong account number, my payment bounced!  It is my fault that SHE copied down the wrong account number!  and, if they take the amount off, they said they would mark the account "settled in full", instead of "paid in full".

when i said "fine, just charge the amount and get it over with," they charged me "additional" interest of $20.50 even though i have a letter in my hand that states my balance due is the lesser amount.

these people are crooks and i will never deal with amex again.

i would really like to know who i can contact in the government to lodge a formal complaint.  can someone help?

99% of people like to pay there bills on time, but with the times as it is, it is hard to get it paid, calling and treatening people and being rude does not get the bills paid, it only causes more problems, I wonder if the bill collector loses his job, how would he pay the bills

All you can do is to send a "Cease Communication" letter to these Bums. Under Federal Law, they have to stop calliing you once they receive it or face fines of up to #1,000.00 PER violation.

Below is a good example. Fill in the blanks, send it VIA Certified Mail and request a return receipt.

I keep receiving calls from this company asking for my mother-in-law. We have not spoken to her in over a year. I told this to the representative of the company. I even gave him the telephone number I have for her. That company continues to call. It is quite annoying. What can I do to get them to stop calling?

1-888-230-2217.  I tried to speak to both of these unmedicated women about my financial problems and was treated like a piece of s--t.  There was no trying to help, I tried to make payments to them and was told that was not a possibility and was then continuously threatened and belittled.

Exactly what I have just encountered, I literally sat there with the phone in my hand looking at it as if was a joke.  This out of control woman screaming at me on the other line, when asked to talk to her supervisor I got the same psycho behavior from her.  I was utterly amazed that this was happening, that these women were able to treat people in the manner they did and still have a job.  The first womans name was Sophie Green and the other was her supervisor, which I can't believe....I will be contacting AMEX and find higher management at Total Credit Recovery with complaints on these two wack jobs.

Sophie Green and her supposed supervisor are the most unprofessional women I have ever experienced on the phone.  This was also a AMEX credit issue (total credit recovery usa group)and both of these woman belittled me and also threatened me.  I tried to make payments and was told it was all or nothing and that they would be going legal on the matter.  Wow, what has this world come to.  These two woman were the rudest customer service representatives, and I can't believe they can collect a paycheck.

These people have been calling me from 888-230-2217 for over a month about someone elses credit. They get into details about the persons bad credit and how sorry they are for not paying Amx bill. I have told them they have the WRONG NUMBER and they start into a frenzy and threaten me. I tried to explain to them several time and told them not to call back. They said they would call me anytime and as many times as they want. I would hang up on them and they would imidiatly call back over and over all hours of the day and late at night and on weekends. What are my legal rights with these idiots, what can I do to stop them.

These people have called my job numerous times. I made a partial payment directly to AMEX for the amount they asked for and it pissed the lady off. She told me it wasn't good enough and I need to come up with more money to pay them. They are still calling my place of employment. They have not once tried to call me at home. She even yelled at me " PAY YOUR BILLS".

This is a bill collector for AMEX. I have received calls from some people willing to help find a solution with me but there have been two people who have lied about my credit report and them mocked me for what is on my credit report badgering me into an argument and then kept calling me at work. One woman sounded as though she was at the edge of insanity, very strange.

Google their companion number 201-210-3618.  According to their submissions, this company has called and asked to speak to children by name and inquired about neighbors.  Their description of my brother-in-law's case, although scant, seems uncredible.
