I didn't answer, but I did get a call and no message from this number.  I am in California and the number they called is a cell phone #.

I'm reading these comments, and I must reply.  I worked for this company.  To Matt - if they called your cell phone, it was the phone number listed for your company.  That's the only number we call.  And for Svein, there is no way that they called you at 5:54 in the morning.  They work 11am to 7pm EST.

They called me today at 11:52 EST, I didn't pick up and they didn't leave a msg. I don't pick up calls that are obvious junk.

Extremely aggravating to receive sales pitches on my cell phone. YES, I advertise my cell number on VRBO, Homeaway, etc. as I want potential guests to be able to reach me. NO, I do not want to pay for daytime cell minutes so I can listen to a sales pitch.

Wanted to send me new customers by way of Google and Yahoo. After I told her I already have a good position on both and to take me off her calling list, she continued her sales pitch.  I thanked her and hung up.  I know businesses are exempt from the do-not-call registry, but it's illegal to continue your sales pitch when someone asks you to remove them from their calling list!!!!!  They are SCAM ARTISTS!!!!!

A rude Ann Farabaugh called asking for my boss when I told her he was not avaliable she told me that I needed to have him contact her immediatly about an urgent matter.
When I asked her identify who she was with she wouldn't answer then finally after she realized she was not getting anywhere she told me she was from E-loca. Whatever the heck that is and works with Google and Yahoo. She also told me that she had someone from our area looking at working with our business. She was rude and got angry when I asked her question about what she was wanting. I proptly threw her number away. What a scammer!!

This is the second call from them.  Asked if our company was interested in doing a bathroom remodel in another town.  Found it as a scam-called them back-asked to be put on "Do Not Call List"-we'll see if it works.

I think they may be calling up from an internet company that sells advertising space on their website for Home owners interested in renting their property.  They get your number through sites like www.vrbo.com  and sites like www.homeaway.com where you may already be advertising.

I am an ex employee of eLocal. They are a scam.. They had me, as an employee, convinced for more than a year that I owned "shares" in the company and if I continued working the required 70 hour work weeks that we would reach our goal, the company would sell and I would walk away with 1.2 million dollars.. THAT DIDNT HAPPEN.. Instead I stayed with them, working my butt off and was ultimately laid off. (all to save them from having to let the investors know that Dominic Ricci embezzled most of the money.
We were also required to sit through weekly discussions about child sexual abuse and beastiality...I recorded the meetings for my therapist..
DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COMPANY.. THEY ARE SCAMMING THEIR INVESTORS, EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS.

Dear Bonnie,

It's your company, even if it's not you personally, as all the calls come from the same phone number. And I have looked at homeaway and I'm not on there. Other businesses besides rental properties use SEO. Do you know what the term means?

It matters not where you got the phone number, you could have made it up and got lucky. The answer is still no. I don't need you or the 'services' you 'provide'. Get a life, woman, you're annoying me, again.

Today was different. Caller said she had clients lined up to stay here and wanted to speak to the owner. I said the reservation desk can handle guest bookings and was told that only the owner could accept the guests. (You see, Bonnie, hotels and motels and other lodging properties that are not VRBO or Homeaway, DO take guests, and they don't have to be listed with any of those directories to do so.)

I asked if there were guests actually standing there waiting and was told no.

Goodbye. Waste of time.

WHAT I SAID WAS THAT I GOT "MY" LISTINGS FROM HOME AWAY, SO OBVIOUSLY IT WASN'T ME THAT CALLED YOU.  YOU SHOULD HAVE ASKED HOW HE GOT YOUR NUMBER, BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY YOU ARE LISTED SOMEWHERE.  MAYBE YOU SHOULD CHECK INTO THAT.  AND IF YOU, AS YOU CLAIM, DO NOT HAVE A RENTAL PROPERTY, THEN WHY DO YOU HAVE A SEO WORKING FOR YOU?

Called today and said that my business does not come on page one of Google for certain keywords (Florida lodging). Spoke with a person in my company who does not handle SEO for our business. They told him we could be on page one of Google if we hired them.

Wrong. NO ONE can guarantee page one listings on Google. NO ONE. If you don't believe that, read Google's own web developer information page.

My business DOES show on page one of Google for the targeted search terms my clients use to find me. Generic terms like 'Florida lodging' wouldn't get the targeted clients that my own SEO work has gotten me.

And if 'Bonnie' comes back out here to rebut...I am NOT listed on homeaway, VRBO or whatever other website she claims she is getting her phone numbers from.

I do not have a VRBO property, nor do I do vacation rentals or rent my home out.

The DO NOT CALL LIST does not apply to business numbers, and if the number is listed on the homeaway, VRBO, etc., it is considered a business phone.

I am the one who called you, and if it was for a vacation rental, obviously I got your number from the homeaway listings.  That is the only site I use, so, yes, your number is published for this property.  I suggest checking your homeaway listing, and check up on it.  Thank you.

I am the one who called you, and the purpose of my call was to generate new business to your rentals.  If you would have chosen to call back I could have explained it to you in detail, and you could have decided for yourself if you wanted to generate business for your rental.  If you don't have availability, I don't pursue you.  We are looking for people who we can send business.

"Claire Anne" called claiming "they have few cooking school customers" and wants to find out if we would be interested in servicing their customers.
They are in the online/internet marketing business and have figured that if they show they have customers ready to go... that everyone would be more likely to listen to their S. H. I. T.
Idiots they are... thinking that their b.s. method will work on everyone.

"This message is for [Your Domain Name] I have some people looking for really good .... service and would like to know if you can taken on some new job... if you do... call us at 888-232-2715. When you call please ask for ...."

That's their way of getting leads...
horrible isn't it?

Received an eVoice message at 2008-02-14 12:12:05 MST.  The Caller-ID for this call is 888-232-2715.  Woman named Bonnie Phelps, agent with "eLocal Listing," left a message claiming to find vacation rentals to generate business to.  Asked if had availability to generate customers to.

Chose not to return her call as it seemed to be telemarketing.
