Calls once a day.  Never leaves a message.  If this is something that I need to handle, wouldn't you leave a message at least leaving a name/number?  I absolutely refuse to call back any # that won't leave me a message.  

I have received repeated calls from this number. An automated voice leaves a message on my voicemail. I believe it is a fake debt collector trying scam anyone into paying money that is not actually owed at all.

This number called me 7 times between 8am-2pm!!! The few times I answered they hung up right away. Finally I called back in my slumber state (I work night shifts & was sleeping) & at first he denied they called me, then he was gonna take my number off the list...then he was a debt collector.

I have a new phone number and I keep getting calls from these people.  They left a message one time.  Thank you to all of you who have posted here.  I appreciate your posts! I do not answer their calls.  And, I'm thinking about getting a new, new number.

This number calls my early in the morning and in the evening it's a recording asking for someone that I do not know. I called the number and told them that it's a wrong number  The person said I will remove your number and they call again in a couple of weeks.

Someone keeps calling looking for a Daniel Pearl I've called several times to tell them there is no person here with that name and to stop calling my 14yrs old child phone. They where very rude will not have some jerk tell me that this person lives here with me and my son.

It is a company that tries to collect on debts that are over the legal collection limit!

CONSTANT HARRASSING CALLS FROM THE ABOVE NUMBER

This is a legal firm they say. I called this number back, after they called me, they said they did not have my number in their system. If not then how did they call me?

Just got a call from 1-888-234-6548...... for the 5th time today....never leaves a message so in my book doesn't need a call back either!!!!! Probably some moron trying to scam me anyway. For the people with the previous comments,it's illegal for a collector to say they are taking you to court or filing papers against you.. They have to file that with your local city or county first. So if you have doubt call them to see if there has been anything filed under your name.

Got a call from this number saying that her name was Danielle and she was calling from my bank about a returned item.She asked to be called back at 770-234-0101 The funny thing is, my bank account has never had a returned item or been overdrawn. And she didn't say which bank she was with.

Got a message on the answering machine from a woman named "Diane ???" - (sounded like she purposely made her last name unintelligible).  Stated that it was "urgent" that I return her call and that they had a "legal claim filed in their office today, August 16th 2009" (It hasn't even become August 16th 2009 at this point - maybe she meant to say August 6th - but it was clearly stated the 16th in her message).  Told me to call: 770-234-0101 ext. 2108 immediately - never giving the company or agency that she was supposed to be representing.  Since I live no where near that area code, I decided to do some research - it was Nations Recovery Center in Atlanta, GA - I live in NY and if a claim were to have been filed, it would have to be in the county in which I live which about a thousand miles away from them.  In my research, I found that in November of 2008, a 39 year old trainer from Nations Recovery Center was impersonating a Fulton County sheriff by obtaining a police officers uniform, handcuffs, a fake ID and badge and would illegally try to effect collection efforts on alleged debtors that were in a reasonable driving distance from their office.  The man impersonating a sheriff was reported to have even carried LOADED handguns on a gunbelt.  He was arrested by the real Fulton County sheriffs and they found one of the two LOADED handguns on his belt when he was arrested.  (You can search for the articles online regarding the arrest.)
If these people think I'm dealing with a completely illegal operation, they're nuts and in case these guys haven't noticed, our AG here in NY just got done going after a huge list of junk debt buyers, attorneys and process servers for doing illegal stuff like sewer services, impersonating attorneys when they weren't, etc. which resulted in thousands of default judgements being vacated, so they may want to be careful and make sure that they follow the law, which apparently they have a long history of refusing to do...

Got a call from this number a few times; each time someone (sometimes male, sometimes female) asks for Heather, and I tell them wrong number.

Today, the guy asked for Heather, and I tried to say "wrong number, please stop calling this number" but he hung up in the middle of my sentence.  Nice.

Just got a call from this number. At first, they wouldn't say what they did but I was pretty sure they were looking for my sister so I asked if the call was about a bad debt. The operator said yes but couldn't locate my sister's name in the database. She also tried my name and my husband's name and nothing...that was no surprise as we aren't the deadbeats. Remember the old saying...fish and relatives both start to stink after three days.

guy called on private and said his name was john moore or wood maybe i didnt hear him right and left a message stating that a complaint was made about my wife on Sept. 3. called them back and asked if this was the resident of my wifes maiden name. i said no then they hung up.

caller asked for my daughter, said his name was John Wood and that he had called two days at a specified time  and that he was representing a client who had a case filed against her but he wanted to get her side of what was going on before they went ahead with the charges.  Please call him back at 1-888-234-6548.

caller stated his name was john wood and was preparing documentation for a client and was sending the information to the county of which I lived.  Stated for me to contact him to stop his filing of papers for a appearance before the court system.

person on the phone became very abusive as he was told he had called into a PATIENT'S room in a hospital and the person he was looking for was not there. The man called the same WRONG number 7 more times becoming increasingly irate and rude.

called this number and said NRC No answer though

Computer generated call has called twice, telling me to call between certain hours on a certain day.

Got a call asking that I return a call to 888-234-6548 on a very important matter.

automated message states need to speak to head of household..not a sales or..blah blah blah call
