They must collect for other companies other than Cleveland Clinic since I've never been there, nor do I live in ohio...
Rachael Patterson 2014-06-09 14:27:03 Debt Collector
They have called everyday for weeks, several times a day. They refused to give any info to me regarding the company they are collecting for unless I first confirmed my personal information, which I would not do. I have since blocked them but whoever they are collecting for will obviously never get paid because their tactics are rude and ridiculous.

Just got a call from them. I asked who was calling and she gave her name. I asked where they were calling from, and she wouldn't answer. I asked again, and she said "I can't give out personal information." I'm assuming this was JP recovery since they've called before, but they are clearly trying to block anyone knowing who they are.

They call me at 8:30 am, then again at 9:30 and one just now at 4. No names, no messages, no call back number. I googled the number to see who it was and stumbled here. Good to know what they finally want.

I have cancer and these idiots at jp recovery have been bothering me for four yrs. Cleveland clinic wants all of there money right now, if you make payments that's not good enough. I'm not suppose to be under stress with having cancer and I get calls at least eight a week. I get calls from three different numbers from them.

I was in the emergency room for 24h in 2010 with my 3 month old baby. All my bills were write off, except one for $575 ( they called it: an emergency room). I called the hospital and try to work with them, they told me they can give me 50% off, when all other bills were 100%. I agreed to that, started to make payments 5$ a month every month. I didn't miss a pmt not ones. But after about 7 months they send me to the collections, the balance went back to original $575 less my pmts and now JP calls me almost every day now. I talk with JP in the begging, I explain the situation, I wrote a letter to them and send paper work like they told me, but they wont leave me alone. They want more money like 50$ a month. They told me if i go to work I should have money. I do go to work, I work part time and I can't pay them $50.00 a month. $5 is all i have right now. If I could I would pay more. I understand the hospital help me and my baby and they have to be paid. I feel bad that I can't pay them. I do my best right now. So what should I do? Should I file a complain since I do make pmts even if they are small ones?
ICU for 5 days not Cleveland Clinic 2012-02-16 02:09:40 Unknown
I was in the hospital for major issues with anemia and similar stuff for 5 days back in June 2011. Since many of respondants are saying Cleveland Clinic, this JP Recovery must be for hospitals. I was at a Columbus hospital. That's probably what my calls are from. I would LOVE to pay them, but I have 3 years of back taxes that come first, then student loans, car loan, rent etc. Medical bills don't affect credit decisions like other credit sources. Sorry, but this debt is last on my looonnnnnnnggg list.

I'm 19 and they said they had to speak to my parents, when I bloated the bills why do u have to speak to my parents. And she wouldn't tell me the agency just that I wasn't allowed to know? Umm its my bills. Amazing. But then she asked for my moms name. And doesn't leave a call back numb. I would just love to call abs bi***.

JP Recovery Services...debt collection agency.
Miranda 2011-08-19 15:11:37 Debt Collector
This is JP Recovery which is collections for the Cleveland Clinic. They are a serious joke. My infant son was double billed for services he received. The Clinic admitted the billing error multiple times and for almost a year vowed to fix the billing error. Instead they turned it over to collections in my infant son's name! Now these jokers are calling and leaving voice messages for my 2 year old that he needs "to call them back to work with them" or they are going to "make a decision about reaching a judgment against him". Good luck communicating with him since he's autistic and non verbal, not to mention 2 year old!
Debra 2011-07-11 20:10:06 Unknown
Yep, that's what they did to me. They wanted a payment right then and there. I don't know who they are, they don't identify themselves, they wouldn't send me an email or a bill unless I agreed to everything.
SB 2011-06-14 12:49:42 Debt Collector
This is JP Recovery. They are actually not a collection agency, but the collections department for the Cleveland Clinic. For the most part, if the bill is not extremely high, you will never see the bill on your credit report; they don't report to credit agencies. But if you have a high bill, say in the thousands, they will put a lean on your house-so if this is the case make arrangements. If the bill is over 7 years old, they can't collect it-that is the law. If this is the case, have them write it off, and they will. If you are being harrassed, call the Ombudsman dept at the Clinic and file a complaint. Since they are CCF emploees, they should take care of that or tell you how to proceed. Don't ignore them though. They get state funds for financial hardship cases. If you cannot pay for financial reasons, you may qualify for assistance. I used to work for them-now I owe them money:) Good luck!

Very rude and very disturbing collection agency. Don't seem to realize when the original creditor has already been paid. They also make accusations outside the limits of FCC regulations.
Geronimo 2011-04-18 22:24:09 Debt Collector
This is a collection agency of rude people. I told them to send it to me inwriting and only a moron would make a payment over the phone. She said, "We have sent it...uh..uh..Monday.." Today is Monday..."Uh...uh...last monday." Well I haven't got it..."You should have." Well I didn't...send it again.."CLICK" she hung up.
Idiots.
Good Luck

RK 2010-10-29 15:07:04 Debt Collector
JP Recovery, they handle Cleveland Clinic's collections. They call my cell and somehow recently got ahold of my work number. Lately they call one after the other, don't leave messages with my cell, but will leave messages on my work voice mail--they try to trick me into calling back, saying that they are following up regarding a previous conversation, but don't say where they are from. Sorry kids, not gonna happen. I know who you are. The Cleveland Clinic never even billed me for the stuff they sent to Collections in the first place. The only way they'll get anything from me at this point is if they file with the court. Which they won't over a balance as small as mine anyway.

I too get phone calls from this number. I read on another web page how hospitals will come up with charges after the insurance has payed the bill. And these debt collection places start calling. you owe nothing, but people pay these dream up charges. It's called free money, and if you do owe money pay it to the person or place, not the collection people, it might not get to where it needs to go. Than years from now it will start all over again.Back in 2000 you went to??, and you have a unpayed balance of???, would you like to pay that now????
helen 2009-04-23 02:23:02 Unknown
this number is calling my cell phone, my husbands cell phone and my neighbors home phone. they do not leave any information at ALL. I can see from this website that they are a collection agengy from the cleveland clinic. well boo-hoo to you cleveland clinic, you killed my mother. i was never treated there and if you think you can come after me for a debt that i have never signed for your wrongly mistaken. if your being harrased by this and other numbers like this(especially the car warranty) you can report these numbers to the FTC(the government) at 877-438-4338.

I get a phone call from this number at least once a week. There is usually no one there and I get connected directly to a voice answering machine telling me to wait for the next available operator. Very annoying.

It's a collection agency. I could not find out which one though..
