I've even told them not to call. I didn't want to renew yet they now call then hang up when i answer.

They called twice today, and both time hung up when I answered. Perhaps their goal is to leave a message. A nice app, too bad they resort to calls. They did send emails for a while after I let membership lapse.

It's NewspaperArchive, again convinced my perfectly fine credit card isn't working. Yet they don't leave a message, and often hang up when I answer.

Called dozens of times, when answered no one there until today. They asked if it was Gary cook and I said yes and they hung up. I'm thinking they can use my yes for some reason?  Don't know who they are!

I get multiple calls per day.  No message or identification.  Who are these people?

Event Reminder
The law provides exceptions for charities, political groups, and companies that have an established relationship with a consumer. Under the established business relationship rule, a business with which you have conducted business may call you for up to 18 months after your last purchase, payment or delivery - even if your name is on the national Do Not Call Registry. Companies to which you've made an inquiry or submitted an application may call you for three months. The law also allows calls from the owner of local businesses within 50 miles of your home. If a company is calling across state lines, however, and you ask that company not to call you, it must honor your request, even if you have an established business relationship. I have had most success by answering the call and firmly requesting my name/number be removed from their list. If they use auto dialers, they will continue to call if no answer by a human. I got one just the other day reminding me my subscription ran out and offering me a discount to re-subscribe. If I could afford it I would, I will soon as I can tho- It's very helpful in genealogy.

This is apparently newspaper archive.com and they are constantly contacting me via my mobile cell number. I used their service once for online research, when they were unable to renew my subscription when a credit card expired, I did not provide new credit card information as I do not need or want the service. They can't seem to accept "no" for an answer.  Avoid using newspaper archive.com unless you wish to be harassed for life.

Newspaperarchive.com.  Once subscribed it's almost impossible to cancel. They provide a good service overall but want to keep their claws in you forever.  It's a renewal call if you credit card on file has expired.

They called back.  I answered.  It was a reminder to renew a subscription to an online service I use. No collection attempt.
