I got a call from this number. A woman who would not let me speak to her supervisor. It was for the amount of a pay day advance for 250.00 which I do not see in my bank stattement. When I tried to get her to give me more information - she refused. I called then again after she hung up on me and this time it was a man who answered the phone and after I told him everything - he hung up on me as well. This is a scam.  Ask for documentation - ask for proof before you let them take money out of your account.

A person by the name of Tony Johnson of "United Cash - Legal Dept" called several times today harassing me at my work # but he called from 1-800-218-7084 so be aware! These people are scam artists & I am reporting them to the FTC & other entitities!

I just received a phone call from Raymond Scott at 141 Bayview Ct Fort Myer, Fl 32130 regarding a a cash advanced loan into my bank account on Oct. 16, 2010 for $300.00.  This came from United Cash Advanced  (Payday).  I informed the man that I never took a cash advanced and that there was no record of a deposit being made into my account.  He threatened to sue one of my friends that I had used as a reference when I was looking into cash advance loans. He stated that I had used him as a guarantor.   I told him that this was impossible and then he threatened me with a lawsuit.  I asked for information showing that he had deposited money into my account along with the receipt for the deposit that was supposed to have been made into my account.  He very strongly informed me that I was to pay the money owed and then he would send me the information.  I told him that he was committing a scam and that I would pursue a suit against him.  Unbelievable!  He also tagged on other charges making the total due to settle the account at over $500.00. Stay away from all cash advance loans.  It is a revolving door once you try to apply for a loan.  You never get one, and they keep taking you into more loan companies. It never ends!

I received a call from the caller ID 0000 too!  Some idiot who can't speak english rambling on about my attorney and claiming the same thing as everyone else. Completely Crazy!!!!!

I have revived several of these calls. I almost gave them my info and fax them the letter they wanted so they could get my money. I have made mistakes and applied for payday loans. I am working on paying all my debt but people like these scam artist make it impossible for  people to get back for honest people that have made mistakes to get back on there feet.

Hi I just got the same call they first called me unknown and then they called me from 9163950000 and left me another number to call back at 8882407142 and telling me that if I didn't call back good luck. It was from some cash advance and he even gave me the exact company I worked for. WheI told him that I had reported them he hung up on me. Oh and one thing is really funny whe you actually place the call it goes directly to the same person that originally called me. No transfered calls or anything

Oh my goodness, I got the same exact call. He didn't leave his name but had mine.  He said that he was from the legal department at United Services.  He told me to call him back now or have my attorney call him back.  He called at 6:30pm and left that message.  He said he would be visiting me at work or home if I didn't call and that I was going to be in legal trouble.....and also said "Good Luck".

This morning 03/09/2011, I was at work and I answered the phone. A man with a accent from some other country that I could hardly unerstand  starting stating that I was wanted for criminal charges.
I was upset. I said for what? He starting stating my social security number and my bank account. I could
not believe what I was hearing. How does he know my confidential information????
I told him I do not know what he is talking about. He said Do you want to speak to my manager? I told him NO. He wanted to speak with my manager. I told him No. He started being rude and demanding that I owed money. He kept saying over and over my social security number and my bank account number.
I hung up on him. He called back about 25 times. My supervisor talked to him and he told her that I had a loan that I would not pay. She told him not to call back that if he would give me his number she would have me call back. He gave her the number 888-240-7142  Dan Richards..
I called 888-240-7142 and a different man answered the phone. I asked him what was the names of his
I company. He said Legal department of UNITED LEGAL CASH.
The man started calling my work number again and another girl told him that not to call this number again that this was a business. He kept calling back over and over again being very rude and making all kinds of harressing remarks no matter who answered the phone. This is ridiculous.
I reported them to the Federal Trade Commission. I also called my bank to check my account and make sure that no money had been taken. The woman at the bank said they had this same situation happen to an employee of the bank last week and they called over and over again.
This is really scary. This has to be a scam to take money out of bank accounts. I am sure it was a international company because of the accent and the lack of communication. They need to be caught and stop this nonsense.

I asked him to tell me the truth, and he admitted this is nothing more than a scam.  I told him to remove all of gthe numbers they have on file for me, and he reviewed gthe numbers, and I told him I never wanted to hear from them again.  Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire.  But realize that they more than likely have all the information that you put on that first application.  There are over 400 cash advance palces on the internet, Now I see that none of them are legite.

If it walls like a duck, quzcks like a duck, acts like a duck  it must be a duck.   I received a phone call Friday, 3/4/2011.  They identified their name as Derrick Jones.  iahd applied for a cash advance online, in early January, but becasue they did not offer waht I needed I refused the loan.  This caller tried to tell me that they were taking me to court fro not repaying the loan.  The first time I was shocked, and figured this agency was given false info, but when i hung up i received another call immediately on my ohter phone from a Jason Jones claiming he was from a dfferent company and they weresuing me also for the same thing.  Also, I know the court system does not work that fast.  Then he said if I wanted to fight it I woudl have to take myself and the person I placed as a reference with me to court to fight it.  That night I called my friend and he told me that he received four phone calls claiming he needed to get me to pay this bill.  I got a hold of the FBI, and they have receiv ed other complaints about this number and it is a scam, they are investigating.  I spent yesterday, harassing them.  They calim there address is 1408 Bayview Ct Ft Myers, FL, but that is only because I live in Florida I am sure.  That address goes to A Morgan Law Firm but they have no one there by these names, and they claim it is not them

I too applied on line for a loan.  Mistake the caller ID showed 0000.  I man who called himself Dan Richard wanted me to call back as soon as possible to 888-240-7142 or as the situation unfolds he can only wish me good luck.

I just got a phone call today - 3/8/11. I have received several different calls from different people on several different numbers, all claiming they have a lawsuit filed against my social security number from a payday loan I never received. I am so tired of these lazy people calling trying to get money they don't deserve. Why don't they get off their lazy a_____ and get an honest job like the rest of us who are trying to make a living. This guy called and demanded to speak with my employee. I advised that employees are not allowed to receive personal calls of this nature at work and to stop calling. He then demanded her personal information and began to defame her character to me. Regardless of accusations, personal information may not be given out. I requested he discontinue calling and harrasing my employees while at work. He said that he would continue to call here and demanded to speak with my supervisor. When I hung up the phone, he called right back and demanded to speak with her. He was rude and shortcoming.

Hey I literally just received a call from them. They verified my identity by reading me my own Social Security Number !!! I was completely freaked out. Then they told me 3 charges were placed against me but I only was able to hear one of them which was from some Cash Lending place. He told me some guy named Tony Johnson was going to be taking me to court because I did not pay back some money I supposedly lended. This HAS TO BE A SCAM because I have never lended money from anytime of cashing lending place!

These people are consistent. I need them working for me. I pretended like the person he was looking for wasn't me so I could get company info, but that didn't work. He just kept saying that he couldn't give me that info. I thought of a scam right off top, and hung up on him.

YES! These morons just called me at work again today from this number!! Well if you ever filled out a pay day loan on the web or any kind of application with would have your SSn number cell number or work number that is how they get it, they then turn around and "claim" you got the loan with no proof and call and bug you, so what I did is I call them back so many times they hang up on me, then when I camn leave a message I let them know I filed a complaint with the FTC, AG, and police, so I wait and call back and give them My number and all of sudden they cant or dont have my number, lol.;

These guys wont stop now they say that I have until tomorrow to contact him about an unsecured loan that I never recieved. How do u get them to stop

I have took a call from this number also.  They insisted that I had 3 criminal counts agaist me.  Pretty much the same stuff you guys said.  Guy name "Ray Fleck" did all of the fast talk.  I told him thanks for the call and if some money was deposited to my checking account, I need to do business with another bank because I never got the money.

This may be a scam. Scammers are using bought/hacked loan application data to extort payments for fictitious debts from victims and victims' families and friends.

I just got another call.  They call at least twice a day some weeks and then maybe miss a week because they are busy calling other people.  If you have ever borrowed from a payday loan company, I believe our information is sold to these knit wits and they call.  Every time they call, the person who is hard to understand,because of his accent, has a different name and number and works for a different law office.
What they want is your information so they can deplete your accounts.GIVE THEM NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. They even call references you have used on application forms.
