Look! It's 'blame the victim' time. Telemarketers don't own the company? Isn't that like saying the guy who drove the getaway car didn't rob the bank?

You're pissing up the wrong rope here, Sara. This isn't about telemarketers it's about crooks impersonating federal agents.

We do, however, have a right to be concerned with telemarketers if we want and to treat unwanted callers they same way we treat unwanted physical intruders in our homes.

As for the credit score companies making a profit from ruining people's lives, I suggest you get a larger tinfoil hat because your current one is clearly too tight.

Why are we so concerned with the telemarketer it's a job they don't own the company if you don't like it hang up ,you should be more concerned with the 3 credit score company's that are for profit making money on ruining people's life's ,if they are being paid to report bad credit don't you think that's what they would want to do .? Who ever made that system should be hung

Anita Madrid called us too! She called and said she wanted to speak to my husband, who is the "boss". We own the company, and ironically enough, I just called to check on these stupid posters 2-3 weeks ago! No way am I buying posters, LAMINATED that don't even serve a need in our facility, AND, I posted what IS needed from the FEDERAL GOV. website. This was in response to a mail out that said we could get all things we need for under $10!  I asked who she was with, and she said she was single. She asked if my husband was in or not, so I was ready to spit nails! I asked one last time what company she was with and she hung up. PATHETIC!! Thank you previous poster for letting me know who this moron is. The company is Personnel Concepts. Watch out. They are harassing you if you do not buy from them, as we did NOT! Anita Madrid won't call again if she knows what's good for her!

This Federal Compliance Office has been hounding our company since we got a new phone number.  The representative, Will Parker refused to give any contact information for the company, and hung up when I asked how his service differs from the Department of Labor's free provision of the posters they are trying to sell.  A previous representative who called several times finally identified herself as "Anita Madrid" and launched into a profanity laced tirade and hung up when I asked to be removed from their call list.

Just recieved a call from these idiots trying to sell me posters that are actually free.  The caller stated she was in Tampa FL and that I needed to have them fed ex'd immediately so I don't get a fine.  She said the name of the company was Federal Compliance Agency.  I asked her repeatedly if she was a federal agency, which she avoided answering.  She became irate with that question and finally said "I already told you that we are the Federal Compliance Agency".
I'm almost sure that falsly representing a federal agency is a felony.  I am filing a complaint also on this.

They called all the time. I was able to get them to stop calling by calling back, pressing 1 for sales rep, then informing them to stop calling, that I'm on the do not call list (if not on that list, get on it). I stated I know they are not affiliated with the Department of Labor (actual regulatory body) and that I would lodge a complaint with BBB for harassing calls that violate "do not call" laws, federal fraud laws for trying to trick businesses into believing they were a government entity, and then informed the sales person that the actual posters required cost roughly $10, $20 if it's a bilingual poster, not $189 like they tried to sell me on.

Sales person wanted me off the phone as soon as possible, apologized quickly and haven't heard back from them since.

Just as above.
Got a call from Chris (agent 408) saying she was with the Federal Labor Law Agency, I wasn't in compliance and I need to pay $98 for posters that I MUST have displayed.

After going through the information, I said send me the posters and bill me later. Apparently they only take credit cards. Unfortunately for this scammer, I don't give credit card information over the phone to incoming callers.

Took her name and number (888-242-1185). Said I would call back if I can find my credit cards.
Found here what I thought.....it's a scam.

Awful how people can do this. She sounds very official and really makes you think she's with the government.

These people have called me a couple of times that I know of (they have left 2 messages and talked to me today).  I told them I need to do some research and would call them back.  I looked up "federal compliance poster" and since I don't have any employees, I don't have to have the posters and if I did you can print them from the government website.

I just had the same issue- the man told me he was a "Federal Agent" and that I was in non-compliance and they were mailing me these posters and I had to pay IMMEDIATELY over the phone.  I asked for his name and a phone number where I could "call back later to pay" and he refused to give them to me.  Then I called the REAL compliance agency and before I could even explain anything they said it was all a scam.

I have been avoiding these toll-free calls for years. I answered because I was in the kind of mood to have a sparring match with the telemarketer. She identified herself as Agent # whatever with the Labor Compliance Department. I asked her if she was an employee of the federal government. After hesitation - she said "no, but we're affiliated." So I said, "So then if I call the US department of Labor they will tell me to call you for posters." After more hesitation, "Well not me personally." I replied, "Of course not - but your company, correct."  Her reply, "Well no." I then said, "I believe I can get those posters anywhere, correct?" She then tried to tell me I was not allowed to print them on my computer (lie), or order them from somewhere else (lie) or get them from Staples (lie) that I will be fined and possibly shut down. Wow. So then I asked her if her company was a for-profit organization, she didn't answer. Then I repeated my question and she told me that she was sure her company didn't make any money on the posters. You get the point. After 10 minutes I told her to never call here again. I'm sure that worked and I won't get another call for at least two more hours.

I received a call from the "Federal Compliance Office" today telling me as a new business I needed to be in compliance with federal laws yada, yada, yada.. Same stories as above. The Woman told me as a new business I would qualify for a 100% tax deductible and that the amount would be $98.00 payable via credit card... I told her I was out to lunch and to give me a call back number and when I googled it I ended up here.. Looks like a letter to my State AG is going in the mail tomorrow..

Representative by the name of Chris called early morning, claimed she was from the "Federal Labor Law Office" wanting to sell me labor law posters and that it was important that if i did not have them up that we would be fined. The posters will cost $99.00 after I told her about passing this on to my "human resources" she automatically panic and said to just have them give her a call. I researched the # and found out that they are not even part of the federal government and are just trying to sell you posters about labor laws.  They are telemarketers trying to sell posters and trying to pass on as government workers. "Don't fall for it"

Just got a call from these folks and was also told that she was a government employee - not a telemarketer.  I listed for a minute but was not fooled by her nonsense.  I use ADP for payroll and know that all my posters are in perfect compliance.  They must have been having a "special" though, as they were only trying to get me to pay $99.  What a scam.

Got a call from these when we obtained our DBA. As we don't have any employees except the partners we're not required to have any of the DOL postings, so we disregarded the call. After repeated hounding we checked with the DOL's website and managed to get the posters for free, they now take up space in the utility room. Still getting calls ~2 months on, many hang up calls as well. We were threatened this week with an FBI raid if we didn't pay up, but the raid is still not forthcoming.
