I just got a message from an unknown number and He said " this is Mr. McDuff with the firm Davis, Oliver and Clark and I have you down as a referencefor A Tammy Hampton. I need a statement from you before I file this legal filing with collin county before the deadline." It made me think something was not write because I no longer live in collin county and I sure do not know a Tammy Hampton so I tried to google the firm and this is the only web site I found linked to the name! I will not be calling back I will report them.

Report them to the FTC and prevent unfair collection practices!

These people are horrendous! I worked to pay off my outstanding debts but refused to work with them. They said they were going into my bank account, were going to lock me up, that I had a civil ligitigation pending...They even called my elderly grandfather who was never listed on any of my paperwork he called me distraught. I vowed to find them!

Davis and Clark attorney's office called me and asked to verify my last 4 of my social regarding a criminal matter with charges of check fraud passing a bad check over the arizona state line from my cash now and asked if i remember getting a loan from them in 2007 i said yea  well is this real they said if i dont pay back 1,246  and restitution i will be summons in court and with those charges IS THIS REAL WHO ARE THEY WHAT SHOULD I DO ??

Buffalo, NY drug dealers using payday loan collections to launder money. How could anyone think there is anything legitimate about these scumbags? All they got is big mouths so they hide behind voip numbers.C'mon...is anyone really sending them money?

This company called threatening my sister, two of her friends and myself in a "fraud case".  I have never frauded anyone in my entire life, they claim to be an attorney's office, but they are NOT!!!

Additionally, if they threaten judgements or summons against you, phone messages are *not* legal notification. This company is a fraud, pure and simple, and they appear to make up dollar amounts as well. Upon looking over my credit report, no such agency is in posession of any of my accounts. FRAUD ALL THE WAY.

Representative did not identify themselves, a "state or federal case #", threatened me with charges of intentional fraud... what a load of crap. Intimidation techniques are against the law, even if said debt (which was not identified) was true and valid.

Know your rights.

Number has been kept and I am reporting the company. If I DID ever owe them anything, they have now made this null and void by breaking the law about threatening individuals. Creditors of ANY amount have no right to threaten you, your life, or your freedom over a debt they refuse to identify.

I received an unknown number on my work phone due to where I work many of these calls are confidental. When I answered a woman stated that she had a court summons for me but only had my work number and would meet me somewhere other than my workplace. I asked what the summons was considering and by who and she stated that the envelope was sealed but to contact Davis & Clark at 888-245-0140. I asked her name all she provided was June and if she did nor hear from Davis & Clark by tomorrow that she would contact me to meet me somewhere to give me the court summons. So I googled the number and read the posts and that makes me so mad.

I was referred to this number by someone who said he wanted me to meet him to sign a paper to pick up some package...? I'm not an idiot I'm not meeting anyone anywhere let alone for a package I know nothing about.  This # claims to belon to a Davison or Davidson & Clark attorney's office however, I have yet to talk to an actual attorney......? They want me to pay them over 1500 or I'm going to be taken to court.

They are running a scam saying that they are a law firm and they have a case number on trying to get your info.They call themselves Davison and Clark Law Firm but it actually ICS (INTERSTATE CHECK SYSTEMS) trying to get some easy money or your credit card or bank information to rip you off that's all. So be careful and google the company ICS.

i received a call from a civil court a man stated that he was trying to issue a subpoena to me  when i started to ask him questions he told me that all he had was the number 888-245-0140 and the name David Clark and Associates. i called the number and spoke with David Marion and he was telling me about a loan that i owed. He stated that i owed 1214.00 and asked me did i want to take care of it today i said yes he said that he was going to contact the loan company he placed me on a brief 30 sec hold and came back with a 800.00 settlement to be paid in three installments are 500.00 to be paid one time. i called the courts back to see if there was a case in my name and the lady said nothing was under my name. im not sure what kind of company this is but i will be investigating it further....

one more thing.... when i asked where they were going to send the petition I got silence, no answer. So again I laughed and said "right nothing is coming to me from anywhere because you dont know who I am or where to send this BS petition" Then I said something not very nice to her and hung up on her.  I have not gotten any more calls.

I had this exact same thing happen to me except it was a wrong #.  The person they were asking for was unknown to me. They kept hanging up on me when I asked too many questions as to who they were.  They identified themselves to me as that same law firm, Davis and Clark.  When I informed them that I am on the Federal Do Not Call list and they are not to call me again ever, for anything, they kept hanging up on me.  I called back and inquired what the mailing address is to submit my Do Not Call request in writing and this information was refused to me by no less than 2 people.  I will be reporting this # to the BBB and the Do Not Call list registry, and possibly the federal trade commission. I will also research on my own to find this mailing address myself.

Do not be intimidated.  When the female that I spoke to that claims she is an attorney informed me that I was going to be called to court, I laughed and informed her that I know she is in New York State and good luck trying to subpenea me across several state lines.  If you get a call from this number TELL THEM NOTHING ABOUT YOURSELF and not to call again.  This is my advice to anyone having this issue.

anyone who would waste there time to do this is a scam them selves..if u ever took out a loan and never paided it back wat do you think will happen..be lucky these loan companies arent the real loan sharks....wouldnt be able to post stuff like this if you owed then the money lol....just pay ur bills and dont believe everything you hear

Hey everyone - we are in control of our own phones.  If you receive a call from an unknown number or a blocked number or a telephone number you do not know, don't answer it.  Don't corresponde with these scammers.  Tell them if you think I owe you a debt, send it to me in the mail.  Do not give these individuals the time of day!!  Contact your cell phone provider and block the numbers.  Also you can put your cell phone on a Do Not Call List - the telephone number is 1-888-382-1222 this is the telephone number for the Federal Trade Commission.  Be smarter than the scammers.

This idiots keep calling my place of buisness and infoming my staff that I have a case with them. Two weeks ago I was threatened via voice mail that if I did not return call to set up arrangements then a petition will be sent for my arrest. I returned the phone call and to my surpise I reached a voice mail 2 times. Today I receive a message that if I don't make an appointment with them they will come to my office. What ever!

These people just called my sisters phone leaving a voice mail stating she needed to call them back ASAP so i called them back and guess what no answer so i left a message with the ref number stating they needed to call me back ASAP and still no call back yet. So i dont know well c if they call back.

I just started getting these calls and they are bothersome I want them to stop.

I have also been receiving calls from this number. They have also called my work and my family saying they were going to deliver legal documents and insinuating that my family would be responsible for repaying a debt I am not aware of.

My mother called me yesterday saying that she had some interesting messages on her answering machine. So I went over and listened. It was from this number. The first one was addressed to me telling me that I was being investigated for fruad. The next one was addressed to my mother stating that they needed her to make a full statement regarding my case. Since it is the weekend and I cannot call, I have been freaking out wondering what was going on. I will be calling on Monday and will get to the bottom of it. Thank you for everyone that posted that this is a scam so I know not to give out any information. Although I am currently working with a lawyer for my divorce, I am also going to bring this up to him.

The things that made me leary was for one, I recieved nothing in the mail or no phone call to MY phone saying any of this. Another thing was that when I Yahoo! searched the company I got nothing. I live in the middle of nowhere and can find about anywhere that I search for. So that made no sence.

I can not express my feelings of gratitude knowing that this is a fraudulent place.  Let me explain my story....I was contacted by a man that wanted to meet with me for me to sign a paper inorder for him to release a package to me containing papers regarding my case, mind you I have recieved nothing in the mail! Also, he went on and on about keeping his identity secure bc I wouldn't believe the types of things that happen to him since he is "just the messenger" he could not provide me with any info just a ph# for Davison and Clark and a case #, which coincedently (sp?) ends with the last four of my ss#.  I'm thinking to myself for the sake of my safety I am not meeting some random stranger anywhere!!! Are you crazy??? I speak w/ some representative who at first was not able to provide me with any information then some how he gains access and tries to "help" me out by talking w/ the attorney and getting this outstanding balanced reduced.  Now, I work for a financial institution and day in and day out I see people get scammed by all sorts of things and cannot stress how important it is to not give out ANY of your account information!!!! Naturally, after being given my options I let him know I will call him back the next day.  I did and explained I cannot pay this outrageous amount and what did I need to do from here.  He said he would give me a call back and yet I have never heard from him or his attorneys.  His name is Jeremy which I read above in others post have contacted him too.  I also, called the place he claims I owe and they said they have been subjected to some fraudulent activity.  PLEASE BE CAREFUL & AWARE!!!
