I've received many calls this past year from this number- all from "Melissa" saying that she was DESPERATELY trying to get in touch with "Ruby Lerma" or her representative and needed them to call "Mr. Bartley Jones" immediately. They've given me more than one number for "Mr. Bartley" as well. All calls come in as "Unknown," so there's no way I could call them back. They keep saying "this is regarding 3503-74." I'm done with this. Should it be reported?

Got the SAME calls from the same chicks with the SAME exact messages.  They are pushy, rude and try to intimidate you with threats and how desperate it is they get your information. I have asked them SEVERAL times to not call my home again. They ad even called at 6am on a Saturday! That ticked me off enough so I called them back. They refused to answer any of my questions in regards to WHO they are, WHOM they represent in their so called "case". They just pushed for my personal information and threatened to have me served. Well, 1st off, if they wanna serve me for a bogus debt they should know who I am first! Called my house looking and asking for 3 different names!!! Our call was coincidentaly disconnected and she called back...on SPEAKER and obviously recording me! I laughed out loud and let her know I knew that was taking place and I"m not dumb enough to give you ANY information. My final words after they once again threatened with their attorney "Mr. Bartley" taking action to have me served, was do not call again, or MY attorney will respond and that I was going to report them. As I DID do! I reported them to the FTT and the FTC! They are obviously a scam thing so I suggest anyone who is harrassed by the so called "Melissa" "Mary" & now "Linda" (who has the identical voice and accent of MELISSA! wooooow) of "AB Claims" to report them as well!

I have gotten these calls for over a year.  Same language - "Desperately trying to get in touch with..." "Don't play around with this."  We have no association with the people they claim gave our phone number as a contact.  I think they just fish them out of People Finders or something.  I filed complaints with the Attorney General in our state, and also with the FCC.  Both agencies notified me, gave me a case number, and have an active file on the incidents.  When I got my last call, three months ago, I told them that I have filed complaints, and they may NOT call me again according to the law.  I recently got another call from a different number (713) 568-1031 from Houston.  I am trying to track this one down.

Sounds like more Zombie Debt buys at work,  trying to scare people into paying for debts that may or may not be theirs from far into the past.  You can bet they cant validate their claims and that 99% are past the Statute of Limitations.   Shock calls like that seem to be the new normal for collectors and scammers.

I've been getting calls from this number for a couple of months. "Mary" and "Melissa" both have called. They use alarming language ("I am DESPERATELY trying to reach" and "This is nothing to play around with") and sound genuinely concerned, worried even! The number comes up as unknown but this is the call back number they leave, with a reference number. They are calling me under my maiden name, and it has to be in reference to old unsecured debts or medical bills that have since charged off because I've been married over a decade. I believe my old debt has been sold to a company that tries to get people to call them back about the account using alarming phrases and concerned tones. Beware when returning this call.

I got a similar call today from someone named "Melissa" and said it was a "serious issue I needed to be aware of:. I would think these people would have an address to send mail to if they were legit. I was afraid to call back because I thought it was a scam. They left some type of reference # on the voicemail and nothing else. The # came up on my cell phone as "unknown".

I got a call from this number, looking for my brother saying it was absolutely urgent that he call them back, the woman, Mary, said she was from AB Claims and he had a case number to call back with.  When I called back(twice) no one answered, there was an answering machine(both times).  I don't know if this is real, or if some company bought my brothers debt.  Can someone answer this question?
