Have a call block on phone but only holds 30 numbers. For those 30 numbers is works well. Have a Panasonic, 4 phone sets from Costco.

Called 1/23/13, claimed to be from a State Trooper welfare organization. I told him that, like all those, it is a criminal organization, please take us off the list.

Got a call today from this number clearly from some call center.... Said they were with a solar panel company I stopped him right there and said we're not interested & please put us on the do nt call list. The jerk said NO. I said your telling me no. I said it again he said no again to me. So needless to say I went off on the jerk & hung up.....

Solar company violating do not call laws. Same indian jack a** trying to sell you solar panels. Report them to donotcall.gov.

This number calls all the time. We don't answer and let it go to answering machine. You can hear background noise then they hang up. Today I blocked the call. When you do this, the phone will run once and then stop. I like call block. Wish they'd quit calling!

Got the call today. Indian with a really bad connection. Am reporting it to the gov since I am on the do not call list. Doubt it will do any good.

As others have pointed out, these are SCAM calls coming from Acro Energy which sells overpriced solar panels and other "green" junk marked up 10 or 12 times over the real cost. Just ignore or block the calls which are coming from India in an attempt to avoid Federal DNC laws. It's an outrage and disgusting, but there's nothing you can do until Acro Energy is investigated by the Calif. Attorney General's office.

Got a call from 18882469292. Clearly an automated call system as there was a delay before the person on the other end picked up. A man with an Indian accent from "US Green Energy" said he was calling from Modesto. He claimed he was not selling anything and was offering to install solar panels on my home for free using a government subsidy, I would then just pay for the electricity generated by the solar panels. He asked me several times if my phone bill was over 120 but I declined to answer. I walked him through reasons why the installation would not be free since tax dollars were being used (government money) and I am a taxpayer, so therefore I would be paying for the "free" installation as well as any other installations this company happened to "sell." He became very frustrated with me and my reasoning. At the end he angrily told me I should have been upfront with the reason why I would not be taking advantage of his "program". I told him to take me off whatever calling list he was using and hung up on his building tirade. Nice guy, glad I wasted his time.

AT&T Privacy Manager was not able to block 888-246-9292. Name showed up as "Toll Free Caller" which is probably why it came through - it was not Unknown or Private Caller or Unknown Caller.
I picked up and quickly hang up. If I had the old fashioned telephone cradle I would have hang up by crashing my phone on the cradle.

When I make the mistake of answering a call like this, I say something like." Oh, you don't want me, you want to speak to fill-in-the-blank. Just a minute. And put the phone down. And leave it down. Do that 2 or 3 times and sure enough, they stop calling because you are just wasting their time and no one wants that, do they???

We got two calls from "Green Energy" yesterday and one today. I told them to stop calling, I am not interested in talking with them. Sometimes a number comes up on the caller ID and sometimes not. Always someone who cannot speak decent English -- I mean really thinck accent. BTW, when they call about my computer running slow -- I laugh and tell them I don't have a computer. So far all I have gotten back on that is a pause and an "Oh."

Repeated calls from this number, no a message is left by caller. When I call the number back I get a message "Operator 200 - this number is temporarily disconnected". One time I did answer and it was same conversation that everyone else has gotten about electric bills and lowering your rate.

When I asked for more details she hung up on me.

Continuously calls from different numbers and will not speak english. States he is hindu. Have asked to cease and desist calling my number

They called and I answered because I had another unanswered (private) message on my machine--I couldn't get into the incoming call. Then I realized it was a recorded voice scam call that for some reason didn't get recorded on my machine. This was a triple annoyance because I wasted time thinking it was a private person and I was trying to click into to talk. All for nothing but disgust and anger.

Same as others; Indian accent, male, from Green Energy. Wanted to confirm my electric bills were over $200/month. Told him I wasn't interested and hung up on him.

Has called my cell phone the last couple of days when I had the ringer off - left no message.

Guy called me. I hung up. Guy called back asking why I hung up. I told him I wasn't interested, in which he argued that I tell him that before hanging up on him. He called back from another number 1-588-508-3611 and told me to "Go to Hell".

When I answered the call, no one was there.

Also just got a call from US Green Energy of Modesto. The man on the phone too had a thick accent, which shouldn't be the main deterrent, but I'm always suspicious of unsolicited calls. I intentionally did not answer any of his questions, and had him wait while I "Googled" their company name. Surprise, nothing but this came up! Said thanks, but no thanks. He hung up.
Coincidently, called AT&T Internet services earlier this week and this is the first time my home land-line has rung in weeks.

Everyone seems shocked that these turds get past the DNC list! They're in India, where DNC doesn't matter! My best suggestion is to get a little bull horn, the kind used at games and, right after Apu talks about Greenenergy, blast his ear drums outa his head. What fun!
