We received a call from this number. The caller ID listed it as from Everson Florist.

i receive at least one phone call a day from this number and there is never anyone there......

It's from Obama for America.  They use an automated caller to contact you to an operator

They keep calling me for no reason.Tried to call back. No operators.

Multiple calls, always hang ups. The telemarketing company is Share Group, with offices in Boston, DC, and Phoenix. I called and spoke to Beth, who told me it could take weeks to get the calls stopped. When I asked to speak with someone in authority, like the CEO, she said no one was there, I asked for a cell phone number, which she declined to provide (go figure!).

Wow -- thank goodness for this post. I've been suffering from these calls from 888-248-1557 for MONTHS. I get calls about every other day, and when I pick up there is never anyone on the line. Drives me nuts. I finally decided to google the phone number and voila! This page! I called the Share Group and they're taking me off their dang calling list. She said that the reason no one is on the line when I pick up is because it's just some computerized dialer calling.
If it is in fact a list generated by having given to a political campaign or charity, then I'm sure I've done so, but sadly these things make one think twice about doing so again.

I usually get calls anywhere between once a day, and once a week.  I either get that it's a Marketing Group, or that the number is not valid.

I have had it with this constant harassment and got to the bottom of it a few minutes ago. I went to that website and clicked on Contact.
Some woman named Lisa answered the phone. She said she is the office manager. I told her what was going on and she said they are a fund raising group. She asked for my phone number and said she is putting me on their ?DO NOT CALL LIST.?
She verified with me that the numbers below belong to them:

She said it will take a couple of days before the calls stop since it is on an automatic dialing system.
I told her I?d give her a week and verified the address below with her. I said if the calls don?t stop after a week, she will be receiving papers from my attorney and I will see her in court. She did not give me a hard time and was very pleasant during the conversation. I told her I barely have enough money for gas and utilities. I don?t have money to give to charities. ?GO ASK THE RICH PEOPLE FOR MONEY.?

I get calls from 888-811-2443 every other day asking for some male. If I ask who?, they say never mind and hang up. If you call the number back, you can never talk with anyone. You have to leave a message and they will get back to you. This is CELL PHONE HARRASSMENT and needs to be stopped. I'm not sure where they are getting these numbers from, but someone's going to F****N' DIE if they keep f****n' with me!!!

Actually spoke to someone in their call center who was very polite, took my name and number and assured me that I would have my name removed off of the list of the "campaign" they were calling for. The point he made though is that they may be calling you again for another cause or issue down the road. Try 617-629-4500 and wait to hear what the call center extension is I was connected rather quickly. Normally wouldn't care but I was having a relaxing Saturday:)

Thanks Dave for the confirmation.  I made a political donation a few times this year, maybe it's linked to that?  Annoying that they never leave a message identifying that.  And you cannot block all their numbers as everytime they call it seems different.

They seem quite persistant, has anyone actually talked to this company?  I guess this is what to expect from a polically charged season.

All I believe are the
Share Group  Complaint Line.. Which I think is a a collection agency. Last time this happened they were trying to collect on a student loan for someone with the same name as my husband for a loan to a school my husband did not attend. In this case they call and don't leave a message, but when I call back I get the This is the Share Group Complaint line....

Asked from someone who hadn't lived there for years.  I said he isn't here, but offered to take a message.  The person said, "No message, thank you," and hung up.  When I called them back, it said that it was the Share Group Complaint Line.
