unwanted calls

This number called and a computer generated message asked if I was some hispanic girl's name. Said i could call back and they would delete me from their data base. I did and they still call weekly and also send faxes...I don't even have fax capability. Don't waste your time trying to remove yourself from their call list. They don't believe you and just continue calling.

These people call my mothers number for a debt over fifteen years ago. I haven't a clue how they got my number! We don't even know how they got my uncles number who has a completely different name and service! They call my mom about 4 or more times a day, they hang up when you answer and leave a blank message. They actually talk to me and I had them supposedly remove me from their database but they call the following week, it's even the same guy who called me! They are calling from either Washington or Montana.

So disappointing that this is what humanity has resorted to.. May they all burn in hell.

This is a collection agency of some sort.  They left an automated message on my answering machine asking if I was ____________ (I am not and was not home to verify), the message then states if you do not hang up you verify that you are __________ and listen to this message!!!  How can someone verify or not verify when an agency is communicating with an answering machine.  They called again today and I tried answering and got no one, and then tried calling back there number on caller ID to tell them they have the wrong number.  It just rings and rings.

these people call day and night with some stupid message about owing money. I have no debt that would involve these idiots.  I am sick to death of this crap and the Do Not Call list is a joke....they never help.  If anybody is interested in reading about these a**holes, check out the ripoff.com website (merchants) and read what some poor person had to go through.  I guess I'll just have to rely on 2 cans and string instead of a phone.  I'm sick to death of scams.

Called my number seeking someone else that used to have my number years and years ago.  They don't care how many people they bother in their lust for money.  I wouldn't give these jerks the time of day if they wanted info from me about anyone.

I got a call from this number. They asked for a name, I have no idea who it was. Of course they did not believe me, and were very rude!!

This is the message from my Earthlink cable digital phone voicemail notification sent to my email address, which includes an audiofile that I can open.  The voice message stated that the matter about which I was being called was some kind of debt.  I don't have any debt of any kind.

They called my home number at 5:46 PM today (22/02/2011)...the phone rang 3 maybe 4 times and then hung up.  They did not leave a message.  All my Caller ID said was "TOLL FREE NUMBER", and gave the number and time.

Caller ID :: MERCHANTS :: This is a collection agency fishing  for people who you might know who are on their way to pauper's prison. Do not answer this call. Don't give them information!

If these people call 1 more time, I'm getting a gun and going to Merchants Credit.  I HAVE NO DEBT TO INVOLVE THESE IDIOTS.  Messages on the machine day and night...tons of them.  Do Not Call list????  Are they kidding?  What the hell do they do.  NOTHING.  Nobody is out there to help with these dirtbags that have nothing else to do but harrass people.  Smith and Wesson.

These idiots are driving me crazy.  Do Not Call to no avail....no help from them.  Calls come through all day starting in early a.m.  EVEN ON SUNDAYS.  I have no debt.  God, I hate my phone.

Keeps calling for someone that had my number quite a few years ago like they think thats going to get them anywhere.  Not gonna happen!  Greedy bozos like this need to be shut down.

Lately  the Merchant Credit folks have been leaving messages for my significant other, but we have just been deleting them as we get them...although I have been keeping a written ledger of the calls, because these are not the only scammers who have been trying to extort money.

Again, the federal government needs to get actively involved with companies such as these and to prosecute them.  It's absolutely ridiculous that something has not been done to stop these people!!

Just returned call to these people. Geeez.........assured me the debt they are trying to collect is from 2004 and definitely is my wife. OK, I'm pissed as I know he is incorrect as well as rude.

This company calls me about 4 times a week and when I answer nobody picks up. When I don't answer this jumbled computerized message is left. I have no unsettled debt which is what makes these calls so frustrating, in fact I have excellent credit! I've been on the do not call registry for two years so I don't understand why they keep calling.

When I called the number, it said it was Merchants Credit Guide.

Well they're the worst type of people then!  Doing their jobs, you've got to be kidding me.   They are the most despicable people on earth.  Do not defend their jobs.  There is a special place in hell for collection agencies AND their employees.  Better to work for a fast food company.  They pray on the poor and the people who need help most.  Get a clue. You must have plenty of money then and have never been in need of help.  Elitist fool.

I am continuously getting phone calls from this number.  The caller id states Merch. Credit GD.  When I answer the call, it states that they have a message for some foreign name and if I am not that person to press a certain number.  I have no idea who this is but it is obviously some scam artist.  If anyone has information, please let me know.  You would think someone could stop this kind of harassment in this day and time with all the technology available today!

The number 888-249-1033 is an evil collection agency! If they keep bothering you, Report them! File a free complaint to National Do Not Call Registry List (Donotcall.gov) and the complaints board dot com.
