I got a call today from a David saying that they found my resume on Careerbuilder and wanted me to come in for an interview. The position is for a Union Service Representative. I asked him the name of the company and he said, ?TMK?. I looked up more information but couldn't find anything until now. I called the number back, ( 19258260350 ) & I got the voicemail for American Income. Why wouldn't they just tell me their actual name?
harry 2012-06-12 04:55:04 Unknown
They will ask you to buy a policy, so you can show your potential clients you support the company.
Don't forget to sell all family members and friends as well.(WHAT A CROCK) No reputable company would ask their employees to do this!!!!!!!!!!!

I have nothing to lose but attend this interview since I live local to to the Office. At the same time, all phone numbers that I researched all point to American Income Life. Even the phone number that Janette provided me. If people would take a few minutes to research a company like I did on the BBB.com and realize it's a legit company. Rather than complain, whine and write about basically being lazy and quitting on a "possibility" our unemployment rate would be lower. So, Thanks BJGirl, I of course will not turn down a "possibility" and I'm attending my interview. By the way, Janette never asked for me to bring two forms of ID, she asked just for a copy of my resume. You guys for not attending nor calling to cancel your interview are quitters and you wonder why you are still unemployed.

To the people who posted above the name of the company is American Income Life. They actually do business with labor unions, and I know this because I worked for one of those labor unions. You can purchase a life insurance policy from them, and they will also send someone to your house. We always told our union members that if they didn't feel comfortable having them come to their home, they could suggest meeting them in a neutral location.

Just recieved 2 calls from 888-252-3550, I am at work and can not answer my phone. I can not hear what they are saying, but something about Monster.com, its a pyramid scheme.

I feel bad for whichever hack cold-caller, who is probably being paid next-to-nothing or 100% commission (same thing), that calls me from this number for the 4th time in any given week. Do your fellow cold-callers not leave notes in your system after each attempted/successful contact? Do you even HAVE a "system", or are you just dialing random numbers? Because, after reading all these other comments about the scam they're trying to run involving people's resumes, they are seriously wasting their time calling my office line at the job I have no intention of leaving.
They must realize this when they call, because they're either silent (I can hear multiple voices, aka the rest of the call center, scamming away in the background) or they just hang up immediately. Doesn't stop them from calling again 2 days later. Poor hacks. Fortunately, I can finally recognize the number (40+ calls will do that) so I just don't pick up anymore...

Clearly, 888-252-7318 is a call center service. Receive a call from them, hang up the phone. Problem solved.

I work for a union, and our members are eligible for several different sorts of medical and death insurances. One member called me for information regarding a call from this number, apparently the caller didn't give a company name, office number, or policy or claim number for the member, just told her that they needed to get together at the member's house around 7 or 8 at night to discuss "changes" to her plan.
Please, please, please, if anything similar happens to any other union or non union member out there, check with your union or company through whom this benefit is available, to make sure no one is stealing your personal info. Who knows, this may have not been a scam, but better safe than sorry.

Left a message on voice mail identified herself as Jennifer from America Income saying she noticed my resume on Monster and wanted me to call her back, but without telling me what was it all about?

888-252-3550
An older woman with a grandma voice leaves a voice mail asking me to call about my resume and a job. She called twice but then stopped.
A few days later, I get calls but no messages from the following numbers:
936-568-8951
857-453-3836
Quite irritating, especially in the middle of my meetings.

They do have some complete morons making recruiting calls for them, but they are actually a solid, Fortune 500 company. I actually decided to play along because I was frustrated with the calls and wanted to have as much info on them when I turn them in, but when I got there, I was actually surprised. They do a group meeting first where they show a video about the company and what they do, then this arrogant guy describes in detail how they sell their insurance products. It was quite interesting and heart-felt, but it is a commission-only position, and I need a job with a steady paycheck and benefits!
So for those of you who are bothered by the retards on the phone, just remember that they are mentally challenged and are wearing drool bibs. Be kind to them and politely say "no thanks" if you're not interested. If you are, please check them out; you'll be surprised too.

It's a scam - it's either American Life or they go by AIC - they look at resumes online and make random calls to people. Or they just get numbers off a call list. Total scam. Angers me because they are manipulating people in a bad economy. When I called the number back it clicked and no one answered. The extension I got was for Alicia at extension 295.

Voicemail from "unknown" was someone named "sharon" called saying she saw my resume on Career Builder & that her executive director "Fodi" wanted to interview me. Funny thing is, she left me this phone #, but gave me no info re: what kind of business she was. I'm angry that they're calling personal #'s.

Reporting the same suspicious message as many others: "Hello Fred, my name is Karen Snow. I'm calling about your resume. I'd like to schedule an interview with you. My contact number is (888) 252-3550 extension 370. It is Tuesday. April 19th. 10 AM. I look forward to hearing from you Fred. Thank you." No mention of a company name or position. Caller ID gave the number as 925-352-6099. No legitimate company would leave a message like this. So slimy.

my boyfriend, who lives in FLORIDA got a message on his cell from a karen snow looking for me to set up a job interview... it was a 925 number and i have NO idea how she got his number when he's not even in california. i think he's listed as a reference on my resume, but he's not listed as anyone close to me, just a professional reference. not sure why she'd call him saying 'this message is for so n so to set up an interview'. kinda creepy. i also googled the company and found A LOT of scam articles, where they interview people then have them pay money up front for health insurance and things like that. so be careful...

My call was from a Theresa Barnes. When I return her call at (888) 252-3550 ext 104, her voice mails says she is Theresa Barnes with Paul Stanley's office. Also the Receptionist answers American Income Life.
I've been playing phone tag with her for 2 days. But after googling this information other websites where the Caller Id comes up as Jafoti Foti, I'm starting to think this is NOT a job interview I want to go on. Sounds like a scam.

I received the same call from Karen Snow where she said that they found my resume on Careerbuilders (about 3 years old) and they wanted to schedule an interview with me about a job selling insurance. She indicated that the company paid for my training. I decided to give it a shot....1 interview and then the "orientation".
Well, they DO NOT pay for you to obtain your Life Insurance License - it is your $300+.
AND they DO tell you in the orientation is that you are paid COMMISSION ONLY with NO BASE SALARY to get started - AND you are REQUIRED to be in the office on Mon from 10:00am to 9:00pm AND on TH from 3pm-9pm!!! From what I know of CA LABOR LAW - as an INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR they cannot "require" any hours of you without paying you for them. You are to be able to make your own schedule - so they may be in violation.
ALSO - they train you (you memorize scripts) and then they watch over you like a hawk as you do your calls. Then they go out on the appointments WITH you!
They DO NOT prequalify any of the leads they give you - so often you will be going to dead appointments to "drop off" the free coverage they give the union members as you try to get them to buy other products while you are there.
If you are one of those sales people who can sell ice to eskimos then this may be great for you but if you are the average joe looking for a good sales job, I think this one is only going to frustrate you and make you broke. If you really want to sell Life Insurance (hard job anywhere) then get REAL training and sell for a top company.
OH YES - and everyone at American Income Life is in a UNION! So you are UNIONIZED! This sounds REALLY suspicious - as they pay no salary and make you join a union for COMMISSION!
Steve 2010-11-30 04:16:26 Unknown
Yea I received the same call as everyone else. Here's the funny part..... my resume never listed my new number..... hahahhahaha some how they got my cell number... ohh well.....
Roy 2010-11-08 20:49:27 Unknown
Another here, from Karen Snow. Everything you guys have said is exactly what happened, no company name, no job description, just a number 888-252 3550 an an extension. I guess I won't be calling lol
kira 2010-07-22 07:12:45 Unknown
I got a call from AIL as well, but the lady also mentioned something about Administrators Union and a job interview. The number was not a 925 number though. It was 916-838-7994. Is this a fraud as well? She said she got my info off of hotjobs.com, which I did have a resume on. Not sure if I should go to interview tomorrow. It is at the same location in concord on port chicago wy

I received a call from 925 352 6099 (Caller ID says Snow Curt) and and the voice mail says name: Caron Snow, call back# 888-252-3550, extn 370 to schedule an appointment for the interview which I never applied for.
Cautious my friends and handle with care...

Yeah so I get this random phone call, from a 925 number saying that they found my resume online at hotjobs from yahoo and they wanted to give me an interview but they gave me the 888 number. so I get this feeling that I should check out the number; I do, only nothing but comments and complaints come up. As I am really looking for employment I thought what the hey I'll call them back, I call and an operator picks up and patches me through to a person named Karen snow, I got a voice machine saying her name and the name of the company, they are a real company, I have verified it, but there recruitment tactics are very aggressive, the lady karen keeps calling my phone, btw the company's name was American income I hate the type of job where you nag people and I'm not interested in saleing anything to anyone and I dont want to work off comission, but I am considering this jobs as I dont have one and I do need one. if I decide to go I will repost and tell you how it went
P.S. if you post a resume online put only your email address and not your phone # because this is what happens
weird 2010-02-24 05:57:47 Unknown
I am looking for a job so wasn't sure if was real or not but decided to check the #. My call was from Karen Snow. No info on company or what it entailed, so I was suspicious. Thank goodness I found this site.

I got a voice mail from Jennifer. She said her director saw my resume on Monster.com and asked me to call back at 1888-252-3550 EXT:537. Then I googled to find more info. Happened to see all comments here. Won't call them even though I want to find a job.
