I answered this call.  It was a follow-up call to see if everything was working fine with my Netgear router.

I was having an issue with my Netgear, so the timing was good.  I was aprehesive when they said they would dial into my computer on a screen share and change some settings.  I would not go for this on an un-solicited call.

I asked them to provide me with a callback number as I am leary of letting anyone into my computer to change settings from a random caller number.  They gave me a case number and I was able to call back on the 888-638-4327 Netgear number and they were able to pull up the case number.

All seems legit .  It was just a follow-up.  Wow.   Customer Service to see how things were going!!!

There is so much inappropriate behavior these days that we all have to be this careful...... even from Good C/S.

Same scammers who do the pc tech support cold call scam. Dont let them in your network and don't pay them money.

They called twice in less than a minute.

Netgear Support. Call them and they will remove your number from automatic calls.

I get this call on my land line and also my cell phone. I have reported it to the "Do Not Call Authorities". Do you know why they are calling me? JLJ

got the same call - verizon is blocking for me ... called Netgear to tell them they are being represented by a scam.

Stop calling my numbers. They are the most annoying calls and they come several times a day on my cell and my landline.

I completely agree!  I subscribed to their support, a few times actually, and they are fantastic.  I have since told them that I no longer need their help, but they continue to call to get me to sign up again.  Persistent, indeed!

I have since installed an automated attendant on my business lines, and, while it doesn't stop the calls, it only rings ONCE, and goes to the auto-script ("If you know your party's extention..."). Pain in the butt!  Thank you, Grasshopper!

It is netgear service. If you need tech support. I paid for the 1st year because I needed some help using a router etc. They were excellent.  But I have told them now about 20 times I no longer require their services and dont wish to renew........ persistent little bastages.

FYI....Panasonic makes an in house set of telephones ..wireless... 3 + main unit...it has a BLOCK feature for up to 30 calls...I got mine at Sam's Club.  I put this # on just now...phone will ring once then they get a busy signal...EVERY TIME THEY CALL!

I continually get calls from this number....I report to "do not call registry" no help there.
I have started reporting to the attorney general in my state, they may be persistent in calling me but I will be persistent in reporting them.

The phone call is from a company marketing itself as Netgear, from overseas to sell a "network" help desk remote service. They purport to offer a product to solve ALL software issues for $117.00 per year, including networking issues.

This number calls my cell phone incessantly - several times or more a day, no message left.
