THEY SCAMMERS ARE BACK AT IT. JUST REC'D CALL WANTING SOCIAL INFO. SAID WAS FROM EQUIFAX.

This is a fraudulent offshore group trying to get people's account information, Social Security numbers, and other personal information for identity theft among other things.  They somehow find out when people are refinancing their mortgages through various numbers of companies and call saying that they are from Equifax needing to conference call with The mortgage company to get permission to access the customers accounts.  Once this group has been granted this permission there is nothing you or your lender or your bank can do about it and they will wipe you out.  If they call you report it to your mortgage company and anywhere else you can find and stay away

A man with an Indian accent calling himself Samall told me that he was from Equifax mortgage needing to conference call with me with SunTrust mortgage on my upcoming loan application and left this number of 88826398762 call back to conference call with them to verify a few of my info.  I was suspect so I confirmed with my loan officer that this in fact is a fraud.  Fax will not called you ever.  

Got a call from this number, sounded like an Indian person, you could tell it was a telemarketer.
Wanted to get loan information. If you call this number someone answers by saying Equifax mortgage company conference center, leave a message. This is scamish

Got a call from an Indian woman asking for conference call with Citibank and Chase Bank to verify info about mortgage refinancing. Somehow don't know how she got all my info and asking me to call back this number 888-263-9876 (equifax).  Said they can't call my cellphone, only my home phone. Sounds like some kind of scam!

Bad reception...possibly an offshore location scam/phish.  Wanted info on sale date of a chase manhattan property.  Even got a Chase rep on the line to authorize release of info...all oriental sounding one male/2 female.  Got a call back 888-263-9876 and name Michelle Renthlei.  Called Equifax...they never heard of the number or person.  How did they know we recently applied for an equity loan?  Possibly they are getting "fed" by someone in one of  the 3 credit companies.

I received a phone call from this number looking for information on an account. I work at a financial institution and verified that Equifax will not make phone calls  to verify or gather information.

Said they were checking new credit for the refi I'm doing. Had wrong social.

They said they were Equifax????

A person with an Indian accent called about student loans, etc.. I needed to call him back.  Not going to happen.
