Total scam...They have been doing this to people for years. They do not get caught because they keep changing thier names and locations. They even use differant cllection agency nams  ex: NARS. E>R>S>, Burton & Associates,National Arbitrators Srevice, they are located in Buffalo, NY on Hertel St and the owner of this outfit is Frank Miller if in fact that is his real name, we will close in on them sooner or later

They are all incredibly similar calls.
Call your state attorney general office.  They have been VERY helpful with my case in Virginia.  This scam needs to be reported to state and federal authorities.

I was called today by 1-888-264-3797 a man claiming to be Micheal Browser. He did the same thing but didn't realize he was calling a collection officer at a credit union. I let him go through and after searching is info this is a scam and nothing they say leagel wise is correct. We need to contact this company magizine company and see if they information has been jeoporidzed. Because it seem to be the same year all these people are getting hit on. I was told it was from KT here in michigan and I am now going to be subpenia. Luckly here I can search public records and I even now have the guys real name and cell phone number. Any one know who to call to file a law suite? This issue was resoved with the mag. company 5 years ago its rattling how much info they have and that don't be fooled this is a good scam

I am currently being harrassed by Richard Gardner that is supposed to be from E.R.S. out of Buffalo, NY.  This guy is a real jerk. He says that I owe $723.84 for 6 magazine subscriptions that I allegedly ordered in 2002. He's left messages that he was sending investigators to my house and that I would be arrested in front of all my neighbors. Since I am disputing this claim, I was also told that I would have to pay $1300 in court costs.  Every time he calls, he is loud, rude and threatening.  Like Jaimee above, I also was faxed a poorly typed fax cover letter from E.R.S. from Buffalo, NY.  Even his signature was obviously computer generated!  The one time that I talked to him that he was civil, he told me that if I paid him $300 on the debt, that he would give me a phone number where I could get a refund on 90% of what I paid.  What a scam artist!  I am reporting him to the Attorney General's Office in both Florida and New York.  After dealing with this man and after reading what others have written, my question is how do we get investigators to his house to arrest him in front of his neighbors?

this number goes to ers/miller marketing owned by frank miller most of the people who work there are scam artists they are not even licensed to be collecting debts in any state report them they dont even use there real names

same thing, richard gardner from 888-264-3670 called my business asking for someone that did not work here anymore.  i called her and gave her his number because he said that there was money for her and that if she did not get back to him it would be sent to the state.  I hope she has not called him back yet.  I am going to let her know about this.

When I called the company to get a fax number, I did not give my name but "Richard Gardner" called me back. I asked him for a fax number and he told me he did not have one. I asked how he had faxed me the letter if he didn't have a fax. He said, in a very rude and loud voice, "I told yout the company faxed that letter"...I hung up.

He called right back and my co-worker answered the call for me and he said to her, "I don't know if you are Jaimee, but I am sending the sheriff right now." and hung up.

I received a call from a man "named" Richard Gardner saying that I owe $279.80 from a magazine subscription from 2002. He told me he had a supenia to take me to court. I told him that that had been canceled years ago and taken care of with the company. I asked him to fax me the information he had. I received a poorly made letterhead with

He stated in the letter that we were agreeable to $279.80 as a full and complete settlement on the magazine order. His name was typed and printed with the phone number 1-888-264-3670 written out by hand. No title or attorney names were present.

I called the number and a lady answered "Hello, May I Help You?" She did not state a company name.  I asked where I was calling and she said "Bronson and Assoicates". I asked for a fax number for Richard Gardner and she said she did not know what that would be and he was out to lunch.  I asked for a main fax number and all she would say was that she could take a message and have him call me back.  I

Received a voice mail from Richard Mullin from the Attorney's Division regarding a case in his office. I called back 888-264-3670 and Mr. Mullin (if that was his name) stated he did not have the file in front of him, can he call me back at this number. I said yes, and then decided to Google the 888 number and look what I found. All these e-mails from others who have been contacted by this scam artists. I called the number back and let the person on the other end know that I knew thye were a fraud and a scam and I was reporting them.

I got a call from Richard too...says I owe over $500 in mag subscriptions from 2 years ago,,I told him I cancelled that 2 years ago after I was laid off...he said for $250 he can keep it off my credit report..I have crappy credit anyway so who cares...

I received a call from phone #888-264-3670 and he said his name was Richard Gardner from the attorneys division and he said that my brother left me as a contact.  He couldn't even pronounce my brother's name.  I looked up the phone number and found this website so I knew it was a scam.  He called me again today and I told him not to call me here anymore and he said he needs to get ahold of my brother.  I told him I don't care and not to call me here again.  He than threatened to call the sherriff and send them to my house.  I told him to go ahead and he said, "I will" and he hung up on me.  Is it legal for him to threaten me like that?  I wouldn't think so.  I want to report this. Any suggestions?

The same thing happened to me. A Mr. Daniel Harmon called saying i owed all this money and if i sent a money order over night or paid a post dated debit or credit card payment that i would not be charged with federal fraud charges. He than called my friend and stated that she was a cosigner and that she was responsible and he was signing two subpeonas for us to be flown to Pennsylvania.

Daniel Herman called me stating that he was from the Attorney Clerks Office from Tallahasse, and that my mother and I were being suied from a magazine compnay from Pennsylvania. He said I owed $754.00 for magazines and $1281.00 in attorney fees. He said that the conversation was being recorded and he was reading me my rights. This guy is a scam and very rude!! The number for Tallahasse Attorney Clerks Office is 386-329-0361.

Person using name of Michael Davis said he was with the "Attorney Clerks Office" I was suspicious since I'd not heard of such an office - asked if he was with the Attorney General's office was brusk and blew off my questions.  Was working on a "case" against my son - when contacted my son gave him a credit card number to cover an overdue bill (several years old) and realized later that this was a scam so cancelled the card later in the day.  These people are using Pennsyvania courts and law suits as their MO will not answer any specific questions as to their office location etc. and would only use state capitol (no specific town) but were using the name of a bonifide attorney from the state (which can be looked up on the internet rather quickly) I checked the name given and found three people so named in my home state.  Really a well planned out scam to get your credit card number if you have outstanding (and old) debts.

This man contacted my former job asking for me and an ex husband saying he was from the attorney generals office in Pennyslvania saying he needed to get hold of me and my ex husband who was a coborrower in the situation.  I contacted the man after finding out his number and he told me that he was on the phone with the d.a and what was my number so he could call me back.  When he called back he said he was dealing with a child abduction case in his state. I asked him what this was all about and he said I owed a magazine subcribtion money, around 400.00 for 4 years and 1.300 dollars for legal fees. He then said I had 39 magazine subscriptions owed and I could settle for 104.00. He was very rude when I demanded proof that he was from the attorney general office and I ended up calling the Attorney General Office and they said they didn't have any cases or man in that office. This man was very rude and a scam artist.

The person/man left his name and stated that he was with some attorney office.  I returned the call in less than one minute and he stated that he "did not have my file."  Asked for a number to call back but I refused.  I then called and again and the "attorney" was in court.  The person that answered his calls was quite rude after I refused to leave a number.  I also asked if he could give me an idea of what the call was about and he rudely stated that he did not handle the person's cases.  I asked for the name of the company and he stated that it wasn't a company.  What?

My mom received a call from this number. The man quite rudely informed her that since her name was used on a loan she co-signed, and I, her son who took the loan, was not making payments, she needs to pay. This is all a big scam. She was never my co-signer. When she pressed for more information from the caller, he got mad.
