If you recieve phone calls like this, please report to your local police department.  They send all of these accounts to the Federal Trade Commission.  The FTC will not be able to persue these SOB's until they have at least 500 complaints.  Do not verify or give them any information!  It is a complete scam!  Take every precaution you can.  Place flags on your bank accounts and put fraud alerts on your credit reports!  Be very careful not to verify any personal information.

First thing this morning, I recieved a call from a man using the name John Holler, said he was a investigator for Editors Readers Services, told me that my mother and I had breach a contract with this company , and they were trying to find us so they could come to New York to go to court or pay these fees of 703.40 in legal fees for a bill that was 237.12. but he could make it right if I paid only $147.08 on this 5 yr. contract plus a $75. processing fee, That I needed to pay this to prevent any criminal actions today. So, i gave him my card #, He said he would call me back and I could let him know how I wanted my receipt , when he called me back , I told him to have the receipt faxed to me.Needless to say, I haven't received a receipt as of yet.  This jerk had my mother's name, my address, phone # and SS# ,  All just seem to fishy , i contacted my mother and she told me it was a scam. I immediatly called my bank , cancelled my card and reported this to the local police.

I keep getting calls at work from two diffrent people saying they will take me to court soon if i dont pay 130.00 they said i had  defaulted on a phone contract with them for mag. back in 05. They are scary but something seems very wrong about this.I wonder if they can sue, but how

A "Jonathan Holler" contacted my mother and told her he was an investigator/ attorney for Virginia and that we had defaulted on a loan the both her and my father had co-signed for and we were going to be sued.  She gave him my number but then immediately called me to ask what this could be (we have never signed any loan together).  While we were talking, the supposed Jonathan Holler called me and the whole call was very fishy.  He said that it was about some magazine order that I had cancelled over 6 years ago.  He said the conversation was being taped for court purposes and that he could make all of the fees and court costs go away for $101.25. When I questioned the authenticity of his call he got really defensive and mean.  I told him I needed to call my mother back to get payment information because he said he needed a credit or debit card that day.  He REFUSED to give proof of his identity or a physical address.  When I called her back I told her I thought it was a scam.  She called the local authorities who agreed.  He had bits of all 3 of our SS numbers.  We are currently trying to get this guy tracked but according to our Commonwealth's Attorney, since we couldn't get an address and because we didn't give him our credit card information, he TECHNICALLY didn't break the law and without an address or merchant ID (if he ran a card) they have no way to track him.
The number he gave us was 1-888-243-6568  ext. 204  He said the company that was "suing" me was E.P. Publishers.  I hope this will help someone else he tries to scam.

This guy Jonathan Holler calls me up saying that i was in breach of my contract with E.P.S. gave me an address of 975 Hertel Ave, Buffalo, NY 14216. Said my payment HAD to be cc, debit or cashier's check. So after I gave him my card number i asked my father to help me out because i was a little confused about the whole situation. So after he told me that it was a scam, I cancelled my card and called this b*****d back. Another thing is if he's with the attorney's office, why did i not recieve any information about my balance owed? Because if he sent me anything to verify this, he would be guilty of mail fraud. Apparently, if you willingly give up the info they can't get into any trouble until enough complaints are filed. So I found it to be a little sketchy myself. Oh I almost forgot he told me that my balance due was $496 but that he would take $104 plus $40 for court costs. So i called him back and he said that my card was declined funny thing is, I knew it would be cause i cancelled the account right before i called him. I hope someone knows where to find this guy and let's me know where to find him cause i want to see this pathetic little man in real life.

Got a call from John Holler, attorney clerks office. Sounds serious. Told me to call back 888-264-3797 ext. 204. That I had missed a court date and a bench warrent for my arrest was going to be issued if I did not settle this. First states owed $5000 for defaulting on a load that I never took out. After investigating further Mr. Holler stated that he had me on tape for buying $700 + in "reading material" but could settle for $104. Reported this to Macomb County Michigan Sheriff's Office who upon investation advised me not to give ANY information or answer any calls from Mr. Holler or any unavailable calls. This is a BIG SCAM.  Report this to your local authorties.

See above for HFF, This total BS. My father contacted me regarding this. I have no idea what this is or what the supposed charges are for. John Holler   stated that I owed money and that they were cosigners on some account. I dont even have their information to cosign anything, even if I did I would not give it out. I dont need cosigners. These people have never attempted to contact me to my knowledge. Never gotten any letters or phone calls. They are trying to prey on unsuspecting people that will do anything to help their family. If you get a call from these people tell them to KISS OFF. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY, ANY CARD INFORMATION OR VERIFY ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION. BS BS BS BS BS BS FRAUD ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got a call from John Holler, attorney clerks office. Sounds serious. Told me to call back 888-264-3797 ext. 204. Appears to be a calling service. Glad to have found this info.  I just registered for a cars.com sale - they took my name and phone number - wonder if that is where they picked up my info...  Going to remedy that right now!

Same case scenario..Kentucky attorney,editors, publishers taking me to court.
Go to Kentucky or pay $104 and be done with it. Payment same way. debit,credit or overnight. Gave me the name of John Holler,attorneys clerks office out of Charlotte. Had my aunts name and had my signature that matched...but matched what?!! Said the conversation was recorded...I wish for me to have it!! Would not send me anything to verify himself. Said that an attorney from Kentucky had already sent me 3 letters about it. Said that the bill was from 2002!!! 6 years later its a problem!! Unbelievable. Yesterday, my coworker recieved a call from Mrs. Holler!!! Scary, sick, and wrong!!!

Michael Browser called me at work stating that I had a breach of contract with Editors Publishing and that they were going to take me to court in West Virginia. He knew the last four digits of my SSN, my address and my husbands name. He stated that they were suing me for 1,700.00 but he would settle today for 104.00 only by overnight service or debit or credit. He also said this was for a 5 year contract from 2001. I didn't work from 2001 to 2004 I didn't sign up for any magazines much less sign a contract which he said he had my signature plus a recorded phone conversation. He also stated that he was calling to help me he did not want to help the attorney's in West Virginia. He stated that my call was being recorded and would be sent to the attorney's office representing Editors Publishing. I felt kind of weary through out the whole conversation.

claimed his name was michael browser with the west virginia attorney clecks office  said that i signed a contract with a publishing company for 5 yrs and that i owed $750.00 plus court fees.  said he would wave the court costs and only charge me for what the sent me which was $106.00 said that i fradjulent information in using my mothers information and that i could be charged criminaly.  said that they were going to go after my mother for $2800.00  told him that was not the agreement that i had for the mags.

Michael Browser called and claimed that my son in law used my name as a cosigner and told me there was a warrant out for my arrest and his and that i had to go to court. Also that the conversation was taped recorded after he called 3 times what a bunch of garbage. This is scary when someone has your personal info and tries to bully you with it. His agency this time was the Attorney's Division.

SOB Michael Browser calls and threatens supeona and court date. Says consumer protection division represents Editors and Publishers services. Total BS.

Got a call saying from NJ state attorny's office threating to sue me over money.  Said I used fradjulent name and signature.  Said I used my x sister-in-law as cosignee, never heard of editor & publixher services, lied and said post office could track letter to my house which is untrue unless certified.

Recieved a call from a Micheal Browser told I owed money. Kind of scary said he was with the attorneys Clerks office. Could not give me any more information but was able to tell me my dads number and name my mom's info. They harassed my mom saying I used her info which is a lie. They make you believe its real and it is not
