CALLED ME TO DIDNT CALL IN IS IT COLLECTIONS?

888-264-6733 called and left a message for my Mother, stating his name as David Smith, that he was a " process server " and was going to be delivering a legal paper to her. He gave a file number. Now, this was two weeks ago and no one has shown up, no registered letters have been received and he hasn't called back since. He did NOT say what county he was from as most process servers do per a woman I know who really is a process server. He did NOT have Mom's last name correct-which doesn't make sense since a legal document normally has the correct name on it. I don't plan on calling them back, nor even telling this dear woman who is 82 years old-why should I upset her if I don't have to? If someone shows up here with court papers, I'll write back and update this but frankly it seems like a scam to get people to call back-thereby confirming the correct phone number. The mortgages are paid up to date, a few credit cards may be late but they are paid each month so I think it's some new way for bill collectors to hassle people. Let's not let this keep us up at night, folks! We'll all get our bills paid eventually. Stay well!~Jackie

These morons are calling neighbors and threating them.  Is than not illegal???

Received two calls while I was home and screening calls three minutes apart.  Call #1 from "NCM" 951-547-5927, no message.  Call #2 from "Sacramento City" 916-808-0800, message left by Peter Briggs saying he was from Process Server Division.  Said there was a legal action pending against me and to call 888-264-6733.  Turns out the phone number for "Sacramento City" actually belongs to the Chief of Police's office!  And the 888 number actually belongs to "NCM," aka "National Capital Management," which is a subsidiary of a Corona, California, company the FTC filed a complaint against in October 2011.  http://www.ftc.gov/os/caselist/1123142/index.shtm  They have been threatening legal action against me for months, always calling with a new phone number, directing me to call different phone numbers, and now it appears they have found a way to falsify caller ID numbers to make it look like the local Chief of Police's office is calling.  I filed an FTC complaint and will be filing another with the California State Attorney General tomorrow.

this number been calling and harrasing...tried to talk to them, just called me trash, ignorant, and were very offensive to me.
