Same number calls and no one says anything when I answer.

three times this week i've heard the phone ring at 8am (who calls someone's home phone at 8am?!). i didn't get to the phone in time, but they didnt leave a single message. dialed *69 to find out who called so early and it was the 1-888-265-3965 number. when i called it back i heard a automated voice saying something like 'this call cannot go though because the receiver doesn't have a mail box'.
we do have directv but i find it strange that they dont leave a message and if you try to call the number back you can't get though to anyone...

Today the 888 265 3965 called again and had a recording to call 1 877 488 3656 so I called it and she said shes directv and I said okay I spoke to someone yesterday with the real direct tv so why are you calling? Why is this automatic dialer calling me 5 times a day. That is a harassment. Then I called the real direct tv phone number and said is the 1 877 488 3656 a dialer of yours? They said yes its a outbound caller then I said but I called yesterday about the 888 265 3965 and you said that was not you!! They said I can go into your privacy settings in your account and make the calls less or hardly at all. I said I been customer with you for over 10 years there is no reason for calling 5 times a day when I am aware what's going on with my account. So yes this number actually is direct tv but the main direct tv didn't know the number to the automatic dialer being the 888 265 3965 they at first yesterday told me it was a scam but today said in fact it was them. So if this number continues to call you just call the direct tv 1 (800) 531-5000 customer support number and ask to change your privacy settings for calls. That's what I had to do.

They are calling me about 5 times a day.It is not direct tv. I just called direct tv to ask if it was one of their automatic dialers and they said no. They said there is a scam going around where they pretend to be direct tv and offer free months if you pay now but don't do it. They said to report this number to the better business bureau that it is not direct tv.

Calls early morning Direct tv I don't have an acct. Says I cannot reply to number -they do not have a mailbox. I told them before I'm not an acct holder, and remove me from their call list. These jerks are making me change my phone number! That seems to be the only avenue left to take.

This # is DirecTv, it is an automated system reminding you that your bill is past due and that if they do not receive payment by (whatever date), service may be suspended. When this # calls me I am usually at work and cannot answer but this # does leave me a voicemail. What angers me is I have a $10 balance and they keep calling me for it. My monthly bill is $160, for whatever reason my bill last month was $170 and I automatically paid the $160. Seriously turning off service over $10....unbelievable!

Strange caller. They called me almost every other day for 2 weeks

They call my cell phone several times a day about my Direct TV account - except I don't HAVE a Direct TV account. I don't even have a TV! I've called the number they leave, get a robo-blurb about getting out of credit card debt, which then hangs up.

I put them into my Mr Number to block numbers.
Continue to harrass me 4 times a day when bill was paid in full days ago and wasn't even late.
Mr Number fixes them, hangs up on them and they are unable to leave a message, LOL!!!!

Note to DirectTV, if money isn't received for a service- DISCONTINUE SERVICE- problem solved.

I keep getting crank calls from this number everyday. I answer and no one ever speaks and it disconnects

This could be DirecTV because my bill was late this month. However, in the past when I have been late they haven't called me until I was near my shut off date. They have emailed, but not called. Now suddenly they are calling even on a Sunday? I am dubious, especially since they got their money two days ago. The. Essays they leave is generic, saying they want to talk to me about my bill.

Got a call from 888-265-3965. They didn't say anything. Just stayed silent, so I blew my air horn at them.

I get calls from this # at least 7 times a day . its direct tv .my bill is late . but hears the kicker . I told them I was going to cancel then the calls started . I had a problem with my my satellite dish with out of alignment when I asked him to send someone out they said give it up a couple days a week see if it works. now I'm a couple days pass on keep payment they refused to send anybody out to fix it calls started  getting worse

I've been getting the same calls for the past couple days - when I answer "hello? hello? hello?..." nobody says anything & since it's DirecTV they're fixing to get an eye full from me about it. I know I'm late, I won't be able to pay for a couple days so they can't very well squeeze blood out of a damn turnip they'll get their money but having their goons call harassing people not saying anything isn't going to cut it here. The account is under my husbands name but he told them I don't know how many times that I am also authorized to make the decisions on it. Makes me angry too - you need to call their # & tell them about it & get on their website & blow up their eyes like I'm about to. I hope we get this resolved about them calling & not saying anything

Could be a scam Direct Tv. Do not talk to them.

YOU ARE CORRECT MY PACKAGE WAS 75 AND WHEN DVR CAME OUT THE TOP PACKAGE INCLUDED DVR FOR FREE AND IT ALL WAS 99 AND NOW MY BILL IS 165. HOW THE DID THAT HAPPEN?

I am getting calls from this number daily at all times, day or night. I tried calling the number to determine who is calling and to TELL THEM TO STOP, but the phone number does not allow messages or anyone there to answer. I believe this is from Direct TV, whose services I use. They did this automatic non-stop dialing recently until I was finally able to reply and tell them to STOP CALLING. This activity represents gross invasion of privacy and I want it to STOP NOW.

For the past month I have been recieving calls from this number daily about three to four timesaver day. If I answered the phone call no one would answer on the other end and there were no voice mails left. Also when I tried to call the number back it would just say there is no mailbox set up or I would just get a dial tone. Finally today someone answerd and asked for my dad claiming to be direct tv. Obviously I freaked out at them and when I mentioned it possibly being a scam they quickly apologized and got off the phone. I called direct tv the REAL number to leave a complaint if it really was direct tv and they insured me they did not have my phone number in there system because it was my parents account. The lady told me they have had several calls about the same thing. This phone number is a scam, do not answer and if you do tell them to take you off their list and call the real direct tv right away.

I called direct tv and spoke to one of their Reps and was told that this # 888 265 3965 is NOT FROM DIRECT TV

i got the call on cell phone.  i do not have directv.  have never had directv.  how can i be late on payment?

I know my friggin bill is due. I am in Europe on a business trip and this number is calling 2-3 times during the night, and YES I need to have the phone on. I am going to AT&T, can't deal with this b***s***!!!

I keep getting a call from this number. I've seen several people say that it's direct TV but I don't have them for cable so why would they be calling me? They just started calling last week and don't leave a message.

This no. calls several times daily; I don't answer; they don't leave a msg. Reporting them to do not call. Don't know who the are and don't care; they're intrusive and rude.
