This number claimed to be DirecTv cancelling my installation until I returned their call. I instead called the actual number for DirecTv and reported this scam to their fraud department. If you call this number back they even have a fake DirecTv recording in the beginning of the call. This is definitely a scam and has been reported. They are looking for information.

This is a big scam!!!!!!! - DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION,
THIS PERSON INSISTED IN GETTING MY SOC SEC NUMBER, WHEN I REFUSED TO GIVE IT UP
SHE TOLD ME MY CABLE WOULD NOT BE INSTALLED.
I called Direct TV and my order was confirmed thru a recording. she called me from (888) 265-3969

well I am not only fed up with the nonsense of other countries stealing our ids, but that the government has not done one thing to try to help prevent this from happening, They are the ones who opened up outsourcing and the third world countries are not only benefiting from our jobs, are now allowed to call us up and get our hard earn money and peace of mind.

This is a scam! there is no reason they need you faxe a social security card or photo Id! THEY ARE TRYING TO STEAL YOUR IDENTITY! I got a call from them and so did my grandma. I have talked with direct tv and this is not them! DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION! if you recieve a call from this number hang up!

I recieved an email requesting that I call this number to verify account information. I think it's fishy that they would email you and have you call them at a specific number to verify your account information. I have heard of alot of scams that start this way. I would be cautious of any emails making requests like this! If this is Direct TV's practice I would suggest that they change it immediately.
