It seems like these scammers get together and decide to make all of their calls on certain days.  Monday and Wednesday my phone was quiet...it was wonderful.  But Tuesday and today, my call blocker has blocked a total of 21 calls from various scammers, all of whom I have reported to the FTC.  This ZFN place has called me 4 times, twice Tuesday and twice today.  I answered the first time on Tuesday because the caller id showed a local number.  It was Melissa from ZFN.  She said I am being charged with bank fraud and if I don't make payment arrangements today it will be "out of her hands."  I get similar calls from all these other places too...ADR Arbitration, Rothman Mediation, PRG, and now these losers.  I am not avoiding paying any old debts BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE ANY.  I have also checked the local county court website and their are no pending cases against me.  These people have no morals or conscience whatsoever.

I have received the same type of call three times now.  I've had my phone number for almost 3 years and I am constantly getting calls and messages for people I've never heard of.  You can try to tell them that the person is unknown to you but they just argue or accuse you of lying.  Then there's skip tracing.  They have the ability to run a report that gives them the names and contact information for anyone you have lived with or are related to.  There's no stopping them.

Same message from Melissa today on my company (direct line) phone number. Call originated from a local area code, but I did not recognize it and so did not answer. Have received these same calls before on my cell phone. I have no outstanding debts, so I am not calling them back. I even pulled my credit report to make sure it's clean and it is. There is no reason for me to call them, so I'm not. Wish they would go away, though!

Learn how to spell.  It might make your story seem more legitimate, but probably not.

but i got the call everyday, said important matter, but when i called, they could not identify my name, also once they called me "John", i told them i am a woman, no John, and your company lady said, ok, then we will not bother you anymore, but you still keep calling.

A local number calls leaving a message from "Melissa" at CSM to call 8882662695 to discuss an important matter. I believe this caller is using phone contacts in people's phones. Once it calls your phone your contacts mysteriously start getting the same calls. Has our government given debt collectors free reign to do this?

Keep getting calls from a Melissa using local area code # and leaving message to call 8882662695. I have dealt with these types before. Nothing to do but block, ignore, and move on. I know it's fake. A real lawyer would send me a real letter from a real courier and not rely on me to call back on an 800 type number. Sorry Melissa. Not buying it.

My husband got a note from his supervisor that a Melissa(attorney) said to give them a call. Really??? They stoop that low to try to cause him to lose his job!!!! I had an attorney friend of ours to call them to get an address to file a complaint and they hung up on he.

do these people not understand that phone numbers get recycled and new people get them? the last person who had my phone number had plenty of debt and now I'm dealing with these people day in and day out..they dont want to listen they just keep calling...guess it's time to block this number as well.

Melissa has an important business matter to discuss with me; leaves a voice mail since I do not answer this type of unknown number. Had trouble understanding if she said CFM, CSM, etc. for the company name.

I received a call from this number  and it was for someone who originally had my phone number or gave out a random number to try to hide themselves from getting into trouble. The rep advised me that the call was being recorded yet I hear my voice in the background as they also had me on speakerphone. He asked for how long I've had this number, which I had it for going on 2 years.  They never verified information before calling.

I too have been called here in sacramento calif.....i don't know who mentioned it, because there are so many of US....but it's true....they are doing some kind of go around by using LOCAL numbers an not the 888 number.

I too got hung up on when i asked for an address as my lawyer wanted to just get something in WRITING from them to actually REMOVE my number. You would think the person who owns this company would not wish to hire such unsavory, poor business mannered, rude people.  I suppose this Mrs. Santos got pissed because when she said it would take 24 to 48 hours to get my number off the list, WHY did i still want the address, i decided to take the HIGH road and be honest with her.  I told her, "Because i don't believe you." ....never did get that address....

that's okay...i encourage everyone with any personal number new enough to change to keep your existing one and FORWARD your existing one back to either the LOCAL OR 800/888 number.....::: smile::... i'm sure they'll enjoy talking to themselves all day....hmmm...wonder how long it will take them to realize the person on the other end is one of their co-workers... heh....try it...it's very satisfying...take yourself out of the loop and let them lie back and forth to one another....

Then why does your company use threatening tactics in order to collect the "supposed" debt your employees are calling about? I find this very disturbing and unprofessional. Another question, why doesn't your company send out a letter indicating the respondent has 30 days to respond to the debt? Isn't this what is supposed to be done to validate a debt?

I think you need to review the tactics used in your organization.

Debt collector ZFN Associates caller ID shows up as 281-231-0004 - Uses scare tactics and sarcastic commentary, to scare you into compliance. Will hang up on you and belittle you. They are probably collecting on old debts and will claim that you are being sued for fraud because you borrowed without intent to pay back the amount.

This Melissa woman would call our office #  5 times at least a day - some times one call after other, tried to ignore, however today return her call and asked hem to take our # of the list - instead I was bullied- accused of heavy accent and made fun off?!

For the past two months, I've been getting these same calls, at least twice a day, through a variety of local NC numbers that claim to be from CSM & Associates, though some messages say to call back to Zenith Financial Network.

They call and ask for my daughter, so I suspect they are one of those bottom-feeding agencies that buy old, unverifiable written-off debts and then harass people into paying them to go away. I tell them this is not her number and to stop calling, but they literally just laugh at me. I tell them I'm going to sent in complaints, and they laugh at me. Mostly what they do is sound either intimidating or smirkily bullying, and talk over you anytime you try to explain anything. It is abundantly clear that they will do whatever they need to do to get what they want.

As for the BBB, it is not any kind of a consumer protection agency, but IS funded by businesses themselves. From reading the complaints against Zenith, it is also clear that Zenith's agents lie and lie and lie by saying these complaints are against the Zenith in Atlanta--the voice mails clearly state the FL telephone number.

Today, I filed complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/ and the BBB, for what it's worth.

Hopefully I'll get some peace.

The BBB is such a joke that any rating under A- should make you recoil in horror.

A C- is a good rating for a collection agency...  Considering 90% of them Nationwide have an F rating and don't respond to any complaints...
