The female caller (from a local number) sounded as though she was attempting to trick me into calling this toll free number about some case. This was probably some type of collection agency scam to get additional information.

Someone left me a voice mail saying She's a process server and will be dropping my house between 6-7 pm if I dont call this number.

A male called me from a restricted number, immediately asked for me by my previous last name (I started getting suspicious this early in the call). I originally said that was not my name. Then he asked if I knew of a person by that name and also asked if I knew ... (asking for my children by their full names). He told me that I needed to call this toll free number and something about some papers. When I asked him about a company name or contact person, he only gave me the phone number. I informed him that I was concerned about the scams going around. After carefully thinking it over, I finally called the number blocking my phone number. I told the person who answered that I was told to call this number and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. I asked to confirmed the phone number, at which point he said he "guessed that was one of the numbers there". At no point did I give him my information. I told him that if it was not a scam, was a real call, and was important, I was sure someone would call me again, at which point he hung up! He did say the company name "Western New York Capital" when he answered.

I checked another website and it said "Western New York Capital". It does have something to do with debt. My sister in law is probably in collections, as I received a call a while back from a company who collects debt. She is probably not responding so I guess they are hunting family members or friends. This is ridiculous.

Hi, I just received a call from this man from 888 271-4230 and said he is looking for my husband. He claims he is a process server and he does this part time 20-30 hours a week. He said he is from Philadelphia and was going to deliver something to our house personally in the next 48 hours that we would have to sign for. I checked the BBB and the number does not come up. He also gave me a reference number. Is anyone having any luck of who this is. Judging from the ads on this site, I wonder if it has something to do with debt collectors.

I just got the same call about some kind of claim or something. Did you find out what or who it is. My name and my daughters.

I also received a call from some fast talking man looking for a guy I used to work with. I didnt know what he was talking about but my name was on the list of people. He gave me this number but I havent called it yet. Said he was going to show up to some address i never heard of the next day in the afternoon. Anyone know what's going on?

I got a call from them about some case number law suit and it was for someone I used to work with!! She had given my name and phone number as a reference, so now since they could not fine her, they are harassing me!! They told me my name was on the lawsuit!! Does that make any sense?? I referred it to my son who is an attorney. We'll see what happens!!
