I got a call at 7pm tonight. Caller ID only said "Toll free call". It is from Net10 cell phone service.

Let's be fair. Net 10 isn't the exactly the premier mobile service but it is a great value for the money.  If all you really want is a cell phone it fits the bill perfectly and I have not found an area that is covered by another service that you cannot get service with Net10.  However I do agree that the INDIA SERVICE REPS, though polite, are very irritating and when you get done talking with them you never really have the warm and fuzzy feeling that your problem has been solved.

They called me to let me know that they can no longer leave reminder messages on my cell of an impending monthly service fees unless I specifically requested it (Due to the new canges in the law)

I haven't picked up on this call but from other websites understand this is Net10 Cell phone (also Tracphone).  I have service with them but by law they can't call my cell phone to market me but by law even with me being on the do not call list can call me on my non-listed, non-published number at least once because I use their service. I guess I'll answer it next time.  They can only do it one time once you tell them to stop.

Not that this has anything to do with phone calls, but regarding Net10/Tracphones.

While I've had problems with two phones, they have replaced both of them quickly, the third time was the charm. I think because it was new rather than refurbished. LOL. My advice, if you have problems with their cell phones, with extreme patience with their foreign (India-for GOD's sake don't hesitate to ask for another if you get someone with poor english-it makes all the difference in the world) reps, they WILL help. They have a script for every problem that they HAVE to follow but cut to the chase if they try to "send you a new battery" if that isn't the problem. I think they are required to try this first. Insist on a new phone within your warranty. I got a new one in my 12th month.

I wish they would stop calling my number. I am on the do not call list.

these people need to stop calling i no longer have their cell phone service because the phone broke after only having it for a little over a year and they would do nothing about it

Pre-recorded message: Hi this is "Sue" calling for Net Tech.  We can no longer call you due to a recent ruling etc...

I hung up at this point. This place has no business with me period as I don't use cell or have a cell phone, and don't do any business with them over anything period.  Follow up will be a complaint filed with the FTC
