Richard is an employee of the collection agency. Trying to scare people into thinking you can goto prison for owing a bill. Debtor prisons were outlawed centuries ago. As for someone coming to my house from the collection agency--  they will make that mistake only once for I'd love to get my hands on a collection agent who comes to my house.

They don't have information on the person with same name as yours and they want your information so they can enter it into the paperwork for the other person who is the real debtor with same name as yours so they can make you pay a debt that is not yours.
Never Never give a voice on the phone any personal information.
Even if you did owe , never talk to a collection agency over the phone!
Tell them to communicate with you by mail.
Tell them to stop calling you. Tell them to cease and desist calling your phone number or any other phone number looking for you.
Never trust a collection agency. They lie !
Make a settlement to pay 60% and they tell you the rest is forgiven and they sell the remainder of the debt to another collection agency who then starts up on you.
Never trust them.

A  $ 500.00 dollar bill does NOT turn into a $ 5000.00 dollar bill in court.
It would take more than a dozen court costs, attorney fee's etc. to turn it into that much.

I don't owe anyone any damn thing and this company keeps calling my house harassing us , asking for some name this is not us and does not and never has lived here in 28 years we lived here and had our number. I have asked and got tired asking and demanded these b*****ds to stop calling us and they still do.

I have an attorney that has us keeping a log of the calls and he sent a lette to them 2 months ago to stop calling and they still call.
Our attorney is letting them dig themselves in a big hole so they can fork over a larger court award.

I had 2 calls from this number this morning. The caller said my mother had given him this number as an emergency contact-- she didn't. She does not live in the same area I do and hasn't visited in some time. The caller made it sound like someone had died or was on their deathbed. Demanded that I contact her immediately and have her call him about the mysterious emergency.

Has anyone noticed that calls from these SCAMMERS have been going on since 2007???!!!  At least on this site they show starting in 2007.  Betcha most all of you are on the Do Not Call List, too.  Just doesn't matter, does it?

We got a new ph. # when we moved some months ago and keep getting calls for the previous owner of the phone number that we now have.  We already know that telling these Scammers that they have the Wrong # will do no good except to waste our breath, so we simply  NEVER  EVER  answer a call from a number we don't know!

They called me but I don't know why.

I have repeatedly told them that who-ever they are looking for is unknown to me
and to stop calling. There must be some kind of learning disability in their call center. They state that it is imporant for Mary to call before 10 p.m. They leave a file number as well

received a call from this number -- for my ex-husband who would have never given out my number -- said they needed to contact him "immediately" and left a file number -- said they were with resource advantage

I missed the call on my cell around 9, wanted me to call back by ten (what business goes by these hours) .. message says that there is a very important personal business matter placed on callers desk this morning that it is very important we discuss right away, blah blah reference number .. I do have a past due capital one account, but it was charged off, and I'm wondering whether or not this is a collection agenecy?

My father-in-law and my dad both received these calls stating that it was "extremely importantant personal business matter" and that I must call today to discuss it.  When I called them it was indeed a collection agency looking to reach me through my family.  They call friends and family and employers as well as older numbers to try to track people down.  Once I told them I am filing bankrupcy they close my file and issued a "cease and decist."

these people have been calling me for two days in a row now.
all i can think of is i filled out some form on Dell.com 3 days ago.
either that or some Titan auto insurance i had cancelled through Victoria Ins Co.
i had a hard time getting rid of those people bothering me eventhough it's my own choice to go to a different company.

This number also called my home asking for my father. He does not live with me and would not give my number out as his. My baby-sitter answered and they said it was important and gave a file number as well.

My sitter told them he did not live there and they asked if she talks to him ever!! They also said they were from First Source.

They called and were very shady about " business" it was very important to talk to me at once. I was not there at the time so my daughter picked up and took the call: they were very rude and demanding towards my daughter, asked too many questions for supposedly being a "business representative". She claimed her name was "Tara" and was calling from the office of First Source asking about a file number. NUMBER 888-274-6488.

This company has called repeatedly over the last 8 days on my cell phone. They do not state any real business. they don't care if they have the right person or not, they just sound shifty. All they state is "this is about business"
They have left some claim number

My sister who lives in California got a call from this number 888-274-6488 saying that they were trying to get a hold of me and I live in Georgia and that I gave her as a reference. I've never given my sister out as a reference. They said they are from First Source and I have no idea what First Source is. She asked what it was in reference to and they said they could tell her. She said that if she is a reference then they should be able to tell her what it's about. Said he was very rude about it.

how do i get them to stop calling my house.  They are looking for someone else.

Same type thing. they are obviously using some other means to get numbers. 2 numbers they called are not in the book and not under my name. lied about them being listed as a "secondary number". claimed to one person (at a business) that they were a bank and gave what would be considered personal financial info, supposedly about my account, to someone they didn't even know! called the number they left and they refused to give me copies of what they claim is owed (trying to get something in writing to report them) . when i asked are you a bank or what? they became abusive. when i asked for a supervisor, they hung up on me!

obviously you are FROM FS or can't read as many of these posts are from people that don't owe anything and don't know what it is about.
even if they do owe something, there are LAWS about what they can do
and say and they are breaking them! we have recieved calls in the past
for people that never lived there and we don't even know. they called back multiple times a day for weeks despite being asked not to.

I keep getting this call and its for a friend of mine, for I have told them that this is not his number, so today I told them to stop calling my phone and I hope this is the end to it

Thats all fine and all but how about if your a person who does pay their bills and still gets these calls from this company b/c they have the wrong person. You know you need to get a reality check also and look around you and see the economy is in ruin!! Even if these people haven't paid their bills that is no reason for people to call their jobs and give them a hard time so they might loose them. Then talk about them not be able to pay bills!!! I pray you recieve some grace and understanding!! There are people out there that need help and not everyone had a golden spoon put in their mouth. It takes all kinds in this world!! So get a life and stop going on these sites if they mean nothing to you!!!
