I just got a call... it was an automated voice message stating to call back. They are a "law firm" dont call back. When I did, a lady answered, and said she was the cleaning lady and that this was a law firm for debt collection agency. Why would a cleaning lady answer the phones at a law firm???

Beware of online payday loans, they sell your information and you end up getting harassed by fraudulent companies who state you owe money, just to get you to verify your social security number and provide information on a bank account that they can drain.
If you owed someone money, you would know.  Don't be fooled.

This is another number being used by Cash Net  outside of 678-666-5776.  Rude saying that I need to prove that I did not owe anything.  It should be the other way that they be able to prove that a person does owe the money.  Bring it on it they want a fight because I hung up on her and earlier in the day I got a call from 678-666-57786 a Mr. Raven wanting to talk to me.  I am calling long distance when you have free 800 number's and I will call you.

Received a call fron 212-913-0465 for Cynthia Mingus.  My husband hasnt been married to her for over 6 years now, but these slimes use every means to track down bad debt - even calling blindly to try to find the person. I said "you people" are pathetic and the collector immediately slammed me for a "racial slur".  I'm o the flipping TELEPHONE - I can't see the stupid caller - my "you people" was intended for the sneaky collectors not a racial slam.  THESE PEOPLE are a pain in the a%$.

I received a message at my work from a Investigator Jones.  He said that I was being charged with 2 counts of check fraud.  I needed to call back within 24 hours or they were going to get a warrant for my arrest and come to my place of employment.    How do these scum get your information?  He called from 321-594-296 but told me I had to contact him at 888-274-6893 ext 309.  What a joke.  They won't leave any company information.

Thank goodness for google. I just received a message from legal investigator named Cynthia Simmons stating that I am being investigated for fraud and to call her back immediately at 888-274-6893 ext. 308 or she would have to refer yer client for litigation if I did not return call. After reading all these postings I am not calling her back. Thanks people for your posting.

I got calls from them few times asking for my son's wife. I got tried of them calling for her so i told them to stop calling my home phone. The manager called back and said i was harassing them and me they have arrested.

It's too late for the $300, but you can safely ignore them from here on out.  They are lying, and have no power.

Few months on, No more contact from anyone associated with this company.  Must have struck a nerve.

My husband received a call from this same lady,stating he owed 1000$ and if he didn't pay it within 24 hours he would have a warrant for his arrest.. I got on the phone with her asking her to send me paperwork she became very mean, yelling at me. She said I was running my mouth and hung the phone up on me twice. We told her we would take care of this as soon as we seen some paperwork, because my husband had never taken out a loan. when we call back it says its some Jacob sherkman law firm that's located in Buffalo NY, but she called us from a cell phone that is located in San Antonio texas!!!! Weve been searching the web to see if this is a hoax because I highly doubt some educated professional attorney would talk to the way she talked to us!!!

She called me Friday and today and went all physco on me and put me into a panic attack because I thought it was real until I looked into number and found so many complaints and scam reports

I too wrote off what they said as just collections....then I received a summons to appear ...I didn't recall taking out a loan either, but they had all my info and a statement from my previous bank which showed the loan transaction! The judge ruled in their favor now I have to pay for the loan, court and attorneys fees! All cases won't turn out like this I'm sure...just saying don't brush them off....they do have attorneys working for them! :(

I recieved a call from them as well - he stated he was an investigator and his name was Adam Stien, that I needed to call 888-274-6893 he gave me a case number and said they were filing a civil complaint and that if I didn't respond I was going to jail, I mean who the hell are these people? Do they have no better life then to sit and harrass people, pathetic. Truly and utterly pathetic. I have no idea what to do and like someone previously said, if it was something that happened in 2008 over 5 years doesn't it drop off your credit in 6 years?? Any advice would be helpful, I can't believe they still have compaines like this who are so shady.

I received a call from Ms. Smith an "attorney" on behalf of the the Bmg loan company staying that I owe them for a loan that back in January 2008 that I don't recall getting but they have all my info. What should I do?

I spoke to Nicole Smith. After googling this number and seeing what everyone has said about these people really has me disgusted! She told me how I would be sent to jail etc..I got into a huge argument with my husband about this. Does anyone know what my options are? I do want to take care of this debt but do not want to deal with this company? I couldn't handle Nicole Smith but she told me she was the only one I could speak to this about. I have received calls on my home & cell phone & my wifes cell phone stating that the call is in regard to something to do with a relative from 321-594-2976 in Fla who is doing it for a law office at 888-274-2896 x 317.  These bottom feeders are in concert with the law office of a Joe Pezzuto of Phoenix @ 602-274-9911.

They called me and said they needed my social security number for my brother in law (used his name) was doing identity theft. They had mothers name my name and several old cell numbers I had had.  They were aggressive calling from other numbers.  IT IS A SCAM do not talk to them. They said they were a law firm.

This could not have come at a better time for me.  These......people just contacted me a few days ago. Yes I have had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Dabny and ghetto is putting it graciously. She had absolutely NO TACT at all.  God only knows what she did or has to do in order to keep her position at an agency such as this one. I asked to speak with someone else because I couldn't handle her without coming out of character.  This is when I meet Mr. Tim Davis.  He was a lot more respectful at  first, but everything he was saying wasn't adding up.  For example, how can you inform someone of a debt you are handling that is going to "court" in two days?  I even questioned some things that ole' Dabny mentioned, such as me using my ex-husband of almost six years as a reference...No ma'am I did not so where did you get that information?? Then she gave me an address that I used before I even got the loan.  Tons of garbage not adding up.  The call came on Wed.  My case was supposedly sent to county on Friday.  But when I talked to "Patrick Bateman" ( yes I realize that is the characters name from the movie American Psycho), I could call Monday and straighten it out for more money than what was agreed upon Thursday with Tim.  Thank you so much Mr. Stevenson, I almost paid these people!

These people called my ex husband GRANDMA! HE has been my ex husband for 18 years. Ran through a list of name which include my children, me ex's family members, my best friend, etc.....WHERE THE HELL DO THEY GET THIS? I have never used anyone of them as a reference or anything.....

So I called back, got an answering machine and told them who I was and I wanted the calls to "cease and disist" (which legally they cant call back) and to call my attorney with his name and phone number... LEts see how they like that!

They call you from one number 602-396-5556 asking you to call another number 888-274-6893  I never been to Phoenix AZ.  We all need to figure out a way to stop this from happening. Any ideas??. They didnt even leave the firms name.

Not only have I begun to get calls from these jerks, they actually called my mother in law, and also my husbands ex and her new husband- accusing me of check fraud!! I have their address if you would like to join me in the sending of certified cease and desist letters.. I hope they do it after that because I want to sue the b*****ds.. they are defaming me with their accusations and I got new for them- it's freaking illegal a**holes!!

I received a call from someone about a month ago asking for me to call them back - the number that they called from was 602-396-5556 (Pheonix, AZ), but they asked me to call them back at 1-888-274-6893. Originally when they called the first time they claimed that my SSN was being audited and they are going to contact my place of employment. I called the number back (the 602 number) because I deleted the voice mail and forgot to write down the number. There was no greeting at all, so I left a message stating that they needed to leave me alone. Well, I received another call today stating that they were making a delivvery to my house today involving the audit and my SSN and they needed to speak to me immediately. I'm going to call BS on this... I already had, but I'm going to do it again.

My in-laws got a call from them looking for me, but using my maiden name (I've been married for 4 years).  Of course the in-laws are pissed, and I don't blame them.  I tried calling back and got no answer, but I'll try again later.

Also, their website does not exist anymore, if it ever did.  And there is no one in the company named Jacob or Sherkman.  But the "President" has a linked in profile - and he looks like a ghetto do***ebag that no one will take seriously.  http://www.linkedin.com/pub/john-bryant/a/b3b/152
