MRS Associates, a collection agency working for HSBC

I finally accepted a robo call that asked specifically for me. When I did, the the human claimed to be acting on behalf of the City of Cleveland which was seeking to collect the fine on a parking ticket that I received in 1989!  (The number on caller-ID was Toll Free SVC 1.888.274.9834.) I retorted that how was I supposed to know if I really got such a ticket.  I was told to call the traffic bureau and check.  Anyway, my lawyer said that if Cleveland really wanted to collect that they would have taken action long ago and so I should just ignore the call.

Calls and hangs up on the Machine. Anyone know Who this is?

MRS Associates has been harassing me at my home.  I owe nothing - pay all my bills on time.  I simply have the first and last name as someone on their list.  

Their employees are rude, crude and not very bright.

I am writing a Formal Letter of Complaint sent Certified Mail
to my Phone Company listing each number,times and dates of the calls,
complaining of Harrassment and cold calls, Informing my Phone Company
that if the calls do not stop in 30 days of the receipt of this notice
I will terminate all business and service with them
and they will no longer receive business or money from me.

Because no matter what they say, the phone company knows
who is doing it and can stop it or have a way to block the numbers.
And I will not pay extra for it either,I will terminate all service
if they refuse or will not fix the problem in a reasonable amount of time.

I am so sick of these people. They have been calling me for months. First they tell me to hang on for an important call. Then the ask for someone they I don't even know.. I have asked them over and over not to call here any more,but they kepp right on calling

someone ought to call the Federal Trade Commission and report this type of ILLEGAL collection calls.  these companies are violating the laws and the FTC needs to know about them so they can have their business license revoked.  These shameless criminals will be caught.  LET's ALL REPORT THEM!!!

I got a call from some bonehead with a stern voice asking me to call him back. Yeah right - I'll call you laters.  Anyway, he spoke like a jack*** with his tough voice - he probably grew up without any love in a broken home.  I'd like to see his credit history.

Called my husband's cell phone which we just acquired last year, we never place our cell numbers on anything and they said that it was a very important call concerning me ??? my husband's number has only been given to friends and family. very weird. if it is a collection agency i have nothing that i owe. and i have recently been a victim of id theft...not trusting it but want them to stop calling

Yea these white trash asshats tried calling me with all these lies and threats... I find it comical.

All these minimum wages retards end up doing is inhibiting the collection process. Ironically I set out this year to resolve my bad debts -- to turn over a new leaf.. I have cleared up a few with collection agencies that adhered to the rules and were willing to work with me... The asshat agencies like this one get a laugh out of me... I would honestly have my wages garnished then fork over anything to these losers.

I'm down to 2 bad debts left, both of which I could easily pay off by the end of this year and I'll drag this out for 10 years if I can. Unless we stand strong and don't put up with this s*** they will keep doing it.

So glad there was something to check online regarding this! No mention of a company name, who is calling, etc., and at least one message per day on our machine saying "I must make decision on your behalf" blahblahblah. So now I know who it is.

Be warned. We've learned (the hard way) that these types of companies WILL lie to you.  I was once "advised" to use a different credit card account to make a payment! Also threatened with a visit from a Sheriff and wage garnishment.  It makes it very difficult to know who to trust for real advice.  Best to do a little online research.

They are a collection agency, and a royal pain to deal with. My father has been deceased for thirteen years and their still trying to collect on outstanding debts. I finally got through to someone and gave them a copy of his death certificate and the phone calls have stopped. The fax number is 888-903-8787. Also, the reason they can call is that their not soliciting anything, that's how they circumvent the system.

This agency has called my home everyday for about a month.  We do not normally answer unknown callers but finally i did in an effort to put an end to their early morning calls (8:03a.m.) everyday.  Turns out they were calling for an old lady friend of mine with which i have not spoken to in about eight years.  The associate sounded professional and assured me that my number would be removed from their automated calling list.  Not sure how i was associated with whom they were seeking but extremely hopeful i can sleep in tomorrow

I received a call from this number asking for my sister.  I thought maybe she used me as a reference or something, but of course did not give any of her personal information. I asked this person for his name and he said it was Gary Hockinberry from MRS Associates.  When he called, he referred to her by her first name as if he knew her or was a personal friend, but if that were the case he would have known her number right?  Anyway, she said she didn't know this person and I assured her that I did not give him any personal information. These people are horrible, bottom feeding human beings.  How can I stop them from calling?

keep calling even though they have been adviced to desist and cease in registord letter and they sign for it. i'm keeping record of all their call, to report them.

Franklin, please don't EVER give anyone any part of your SSN.  If they are asking for the last four, believe me they probably have a computer software program that can direct them to websites or any online shopping history remaining in your browser's cookie/temp files.  These phishing scammers have gotten very sophisticated.  I don't even pick up the telephone when I see the numger.  They NEVER leave a message, but call at least 5 or six times a day.  They are bottom feeding, stupid people that you just have to ignore.

they keep calling me early in the morning, despite my certified letter to them to cease and desist all calls. They even sign on the return receipt, what shall I do. they failed to Validate the debt.

they keep calling, when ask them to send me debt validation, they said they send it long time, i request another one, but she was very nasty and hang up. i send them a letter hope to put an end to those scume. they want to collect frm me, what i'm paying for the same things to settle case.

Called with "Unknown Number" in the caller ID (which we never pick up) and indicted in a voice mail message that they were someone called MRS Associates. Left some fast talking message about hanging up if you were not the party they were trying to reach (which is not at this number), then indicated that the voice mail should hang up during the three second pause. Also indicated that a "decision" needed to be made - well I made one, not to call them back and pass along their information to others.
