calls for a garbled name, sounds like Patricia something. says if I listen to the message I am admitting to be the person.

Got the same call computer generated asking for a garbled name and options. # 4 was if that person didn't live there, then they wanted me to hold for representative to remove my number.  I HUNG UP!  Think they might get the messaage????

They start calling at 8:00 AM EST waking my kids up.  No message.  Answered a few times and a garbled pre-recorded message comes on.  Morning calls keep coming.

Called me many times on my cellphone, but doesnt respond, and hangs up. Dont have any idea who it is, since I'm in a different country.

Frequently get calls from this and associated numbers at roughly 7:45 CST.  Luckily I'm still asleep and always have my phone on vibrate so I've never had to actually talk to them.  They never leave a message.   Must be some sort of scam because I don't owe money to anyone.

They call our house at least 4 times a day, today I told them they have the wrong number when they asked for Patricia (garbled last name).  We are on a do not call list, but these dirt bags do not follow that law.
They never leave a message on the answering machine. Something needs to be done with these phone calls

These people have called me constantly on my cell phone...only I have never given out my number to anybody. It's BS. They call everyday. Next time, I will answer it and threaten a lawsuit.

MRS is a low life collection agency that blatently disregards the Fair debt Collection Practices Act.

According to federal law if you submit a demand in writting that you want them to stop calling you, they have to comply. But this bunch of low lifes will continue to call and harass, as they have been doing to me even after I sent them 2 cease and desist letters.

MRS Collections is a low life, unprofessional collection agency working for another low life company, Capital One who is famous for giving out high interest credit cards to risky people.  Low life people who default on their CapOne accounts rarely keep their phones and someone else gets the number but MRS call you a liar, says you're hiding them, etc.  You have to figure that a scummy company like CapOne would get a scummy collection agency that trashes the law, lies, threatens, etc.  Not much you can do except give them as good as they give.

My husband and I have both been getting calls from this number. Usually one of us gets it and then two seconds later the other one gets it. Refuse to answer until I know who it is... maybe they could try leaving a message! Either way.. I'm sure I don't owe them a dime either!

Got a call from these people a few days ago asking after a Marissa S******. Explained to them that this is my ex girlfriend from years ago and I have no contact with her. They assured me they'll take my number off the account, but I got another call from them today, and explained once again that I haven't spoken to her in years. They then said I should stop hiding her and just put her on the phone. I came up with some sailoresque suggestions of what they can do and hung up, so I'm sure I'll get to enjoy hours of harassment from these bozos for the foreseeable future.

In other news, I got a call from a Las Vegas detective about my ex, too. It sucks to see an ex turn into a tweaker, but not that much.

The party on the other line of this phone number is MRS Associates which is a collection company and the call to you means you owe someone some money period end of story......... How do I know this? Because I owe them money to.

Recieved a message from this # and they stated they had a document that I didn't know about and that "You have 48 hours". Then they hung up. Threats ????

this # calls all the time. i have yet to pick up when they call. how WEIRD! they called 4x this morning already

very rude caller...won't identify who they are...asks me to confirm personal info.  I refuse until they identify themselves then they tell me they will call me later when I can be more agreeable.  I've told them to STOP calling me on my cell but so far I've had two calls this morning.

Same as Alan...I recived a call from this number and they ask for someone whom I have never heard of and that by listening to the message I am now admitting that I am the person they are looking for.  After the message they hang up.  I tried calling back and explaining that I am not the person whom they are looking for, but the lady told me they have "proof" that I recived a call from them and listened to the message so now I am the person they are looking for.  I guess I am screwed now and they will keep calling me asking for people who are not here.

I received a call from the same number asking about my ex, Douglas Stuart Arnold , and told them that we were no longer together because he beat the crap out of me whenever we disagreed. I explained I had a restraining order, and that he got in trouble in Las Vegas for stabbing some guy before he decided to flee to Reno, but they keep calling!

Sometimes I wish my ex would grow up. Maybe then he wouldn't feel the need to abuse women mentally and physically. But, that's what happens when you need to prove your man-hood, I guess.

CALL REPEATEDLY FOR SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT LIVE HERE.  Says I must CALL THEM to be taken off of their list. (left on machine)  Why do I have to waste my time by calling them?

We don't even answer the phone once we look at caller ID.  They never leave messages.  They have called three times before 11:30 am.  Don't they know that people work?  Not that they don't call in the evening, because they usually call two more times when we are home.

I have been also receiving harrassing calls from MRS Associates. I would encourage you all to file a complaint with the FTC at www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov

I worked nights. I usually don't get to sleep until 4:00 am or 5:00 am. Please try to imagine that the same number keeps calling me in the morning 4 or 5 times (sometimes even one call after another). At first I have no idea about what happened. I even answered a few times and it seems a machine tried to play the recording yet unsuccessful. All I could hear was "Hello-" repeated indefinitely. I had to unhook the phone cord this morning. I really need my sleep.

After I hooked the cable back, I went to gym. When I got back, great, a threatening message left on my machine for Nicholai or something. The message was tricky, they said, "By picking up this message, you agree you are Nicholai XXXX, you owed a debt to XXXX...(not word of word)" Very funny, so I should erase this message before I know what's this about to disagree I am Nicholai who owed this debt? And for God's sake, I'm not even sure there's a Nicholai who really owed a debt.

An idea pops into my mind and I google three most frequent numbers. Gosh, I'm NOT the only one! I found this site! Two of the the numbers, according to the discussions here, belong to MRS collection agency, and one of them belongs to Cancer Center of America (which seems to be bogus, too).

I really don't think it's right. I worked in A/R and I coordinated with collection agencies we used. When clients owed us money, there must be invoices. We turned over past due invoices to the collection agencies after we tried our best to collect the past dues from our end. The invoices would include amount owed, business name, number and addresses. These information may not be 100% accurate, but based on the feedback of this discussion board, it seems the information MRS got are 90% incorrect. If it's not harassment, what it? Personal debt would be trickier, but I believe it won't be much different. There's ALWAYS information with the method of payment! Exercise the due diligence first, okay?

I feel horrible enough that my confidentiality (my home phone) is not well respected, and now I have to prove I'm not the person they are looking for? I never think about suing anyone, but if I did, they may be the first, or the phone company is simply going to lose me as a customer, oh by the way, a very loyal customer who never miss out payment, and I won't be able to call 911 through land line when there's an emergency!

Now, let's take a look, just today, 888-274-9976 called me twice and 800-932-4950 called me 14 times.

Been getting a lot of calls from MRS-associated numbers for someone who is definitely not me and no one I know.  Occasionally they will leave messages which are obviously robocalls.  Today I got one that said "You can reach me at the toll-free number: ZERO."  I'm not kidding.  The number they had plugged into the robocall was zero. Not 1-800-blahblahblah, it was zero.  0.  Naught.  I long for the day that these people try and call me with a real person so I can curse them out.

call all the time, who cares, they never send me a 30 day dispute letter,they have nothing,these people make me sick. know the law on collection practices and you will be all wright. these people are the biggest scum buckets out there.

This number has called me, my father and mother and my sister constantly harassing them and me, why can't any of these complaints get them to stop? I've also written letters, but nothing has changed.

Calls cell phone # every day; sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. Leaves no message. Researching internet found this # belongs to MRS Associates. I want these calls to stop; they are very annoying and I am never going to answer them.

Rec'd message from Alison Simkins demanding that I return her call immediately.  It is imperative that I contact her.  If it were that imperative, maybe she'd tell me what she's calling about.  After reading some other comments on here, I assume that she's from the Capitol One collection agency, calling about an account that has been clear for months!
