I have been getting calls like this on my cell which Samsung failed to include the call blocking feature. So here is what I now do and that is save the # to my contacts and list the name as Dna (do not answer) now when the call appears I just hit reject instead of getting a pitch or the silent treatment.

8 times today they have called and no one and nothing is at the other end.

Just called the # back after they called and no one said anything. The guy who answered said he is from Web.com

I asked them to take our phone number(s) off their list because whenever they answer no one responds when you pick up. They said they would "add the numbers to their list" - whatever that means. As long as they don't call again!

I receive anywhere from 1 to 4 phone calls a day from these idiots.  I finally have to turn my answering machine off so they cannot get through. They never say anything to me either. I heard that there are telemarketers out there that call our phone #'s and use ours to make long distant calls.  So, turn off your machines people and don't answer the phone when you see this same # on your caller ID.

Yes -- Register.com.  Nice to harass all of us a million times a day without leaving a voice message.

I am getting the same thing from this number. Couple of calls a day, for about 2 weeks now, no one there even if I answer and no messages...

Twice a day i get a call from 888=275-4777. Even if i pick up, there's no one there.

I am getting at least two calls a day from this number.  There is never a message does anyone know who this caller is.

Two calls yesterday, one today, No Idea who this is....

Addendum from my last message: I just called (888) 275-4777. It is "Register.com" - a clearing house for registering URLs/Web sites. I do have a URL/account with them. The CS person I spoke with said they were not allowed to leave messages, therefore the repeat calls over the last few weeks. I told them if their calls were account related they should leave a message or email me and, if sales related, to be taken off their list. She took my number off their list (so I assume these were sales calls - not account related). We'll see if they keep calling now!

Someone from this number is calling me 2-3 times a day.   They never leave a message and a couple of times when i have picked up, there is no one on the other end.  i cant file a complaint with the do not call registry because i have to wait 31 days.

I've looked at my log and I've gotten one call near the same time every morning for the past month!

Same exact thing!!  I answer and there is no one on the other end.  I have decided to jus let it ring.

Interesting that people found it to register.com. I found it in the CDC document below as a number for H1N1 information. Who would have guessed that our fine bureaucrats could make a mistake?

Same thing.  Calls every day and no one on the other end.

I have been getting these calls every day for weeks now. I sent an email to rjacobson@register.com asking them to stop so we'll see what happens.

This is Register.com.  I called, emailed them to remove my name from this call list and they said they would.  I am still getting the calls.  No one answers ever.  I'm tired of these companies messing with people.

register.com asking to renew, 60 days in advance on expiration

we were getting calls from this number all the time; but when we answer, it's silent (rude!).  so i just called them (Register.com) and asked to remove our number.  Will see if they honor our request.

Got a call from said from number and it is www.register.com

I do use their services, so the call was a reminder letting me know my subscription is getting close to expiring.

The caller was quick and to the point and I'm fine with the call AS LONG as I don't receive anymore calls???? I'll post if I get bothered again.

And, I did miss two calls from the number and each time, no message was left... so if you keep getting these calls and don't answer, chances are you will continue to get the calls... so next time don't be afraid and answer the number, if you get scared hang the damn phone up, but your new friend will probably call you right back!!!
