I got a call and usually dismiss these kind of calls but thought I could sit thru a presentation for 2 round trip tickets and a free rental car. So signed up for a presentation in a few weeks but I think after reading all these I will think again.  Thanks for posting this. the address in San Dimas on via verde is still the same but they are using 800-655-9747 as their number with a corporate address in Mission Viejo.

Thanks for posting all these.  Cheryl

I just got a call a few hours ago, caller was unknown, but the number showed (949)566-8201. I usually don't answer unknown calls but for some reason I did, since I was familiar with the area code. "Hello, may I speak to Michelle?"-This is her- "Hi, my name is Nicole from first class travel. I was calling because you signed up to enter for a free vacation at the Orange County Fair and you've been selected to win a roundtrip airfare and two night stay at a hotel in honolulu, hawaii"-Umm..Ohh from the fair, okay...what is this exactly? What do I have to do?-"You just need to come in to our open house location in San Dimas, look around, check it out and you will receive the complimentary tickets after"-MmHmm..Can I call you back?-"Sure just ask for Nicole I'm here during...."

Sooo I hung up slightly confused, thinking it had to be a scam but then remembering signing up at a booth at the OC fair so that I could spin the wheel to win a free 2 night stay in vegas. The couple in front of us won (we watched as they were pulled to the side, given a package and things to sign)! And me and my boyfriend were BOTH one slot away from the win! So I told my sister and her husband and she said they've done that before! They had gone all the way to San Diego (we're from LA) and made an appt with the travel agency there since they were already going there for the Zoo. They said they had to stay for a presentation that took about an hour and tried to get them to buy the timeshare but declined. In the end, they got complimentary two night stay in vegas and 2 tickets to a dodger game! They used the dodger tickets but said they never used the stay in vegas.

My sister said to just go since its free tickets...but its not like they're just baseball tickets! They're airline tickets to HAWAII and a two night stay. Then I found this post and I see ONE positive post out of 30 haha...so I still have no idea what to do. Its tempting, but I dont wanna look like a fool!

Like most on this site, I'm inclined to think that this offer (airfare for 2 plus 2 nights in Hawaii for a total of $100... supposedly the tax on the offer) is too good to be true.  Even as a timeshare presentation, it appears to be too rich of a reward.  Has anyone discovered the details of either the offer/scam (if it is in fact a scam).  Do the tickets not work? Do they charge more than the $100?  Is the $100 paid at the presentation or upon booking?  Are decent booking dates possible/impossible to obtain?

Got the postcard today.  Was just about to call them (figured a 90 minute timeshare presentation would be worth the free airfare) when I noticed the company was labeled as US AIRLINES not US AIRWAYS (the actual company) which raised a red flag for me.  Googled the phone number and found this site.  Thank you for setting this site up you possibly just saved me from a giant scam.

Good Morning, I just received my "Birthday Gift" It was for a Carnival Cruise with airfare to anywhere in the US.  I immediately came to the internet to look up First Class Travel at 125 E Baker St. Costa Mesa. And to my "surprise" I found this information. However, I did have to check it out for myself! I am a travel agent so I knew this was no assosiation to Carnival.
I called First Class Travel and the offer is good..... all you have to do is attend a 90 minate presentation on the Global Exchange Vacation Club! Then pay the taxes and Port fees.
I have been to those "90 min" presentations, I would rather have a triple root canal! If anyone needs a valid travel agent I can be reached at 800-323-0536.
I am an affiliate of Avoya Travel, Americas Vacation Center/Amerx.
Thank you everyone for the imput on the "Birthday Gift"

I just got the birthday "prize" notification. It too is from the Baker St address in Costa Mesa. Now they are using the Carnival Cruise Line logo (no doubt illegally) and I won an 8 day/ 7 night cruise from any major US port. WOW!!! I can hardly wait!!! Also if I call within 48 hours I get 2 round trip airfares anywhere in the continental US.
They have a new phone # in case you feel compelled to call them. It is 888-449-5811.

You're an idiot!

So, you paid $150 booking fee...then paid $95 for the room...dude...they offer stuff like this online all the time. So, you also had the added bonus of letting them suck away 2.5 hrs of your life you'll never get back.

Save yourself the heartache and just buy the darn thing outright next time!

Got the same card today, and I googled it until I found this website.  I don't think it's a scam, it actually SCREAMS Time Share to me.  They will ask you if you are married, have X income, and they will invite you to a "short" presentation, after which you will be given whatever voucher they offer in the postcard.   Although I hate Time Share presentations I have to say I did attend 2 of those presentations, thanks to which I got 2 free airline tickets (I had to pay taxes and some freaking booking fee which amounted to like 150 bucks in total) in the first one, and a 2 nights suite in Vegas offer (for 95 dollars, that I had to pay).

The presentation is like 2.5 hours, and the salespeople are REALLY hard sellers.

it sounded so good to me to just sit ina room listening to some.*********** fo 90 minute to get a free trip for my husband and I. he thought i was crazy for calling the number back and wasting my time on what was clearly a scam. what a bummer, i know i can't be part of the vacation club they are promoting, but what's wrong with a free trip for 2? looking at these other comments i'm more naive than i thought.or desperate.

SCAM ALERT  This is a time share scam

We received the usual postcard free trip, note that now they are on "Spirit of Aloha" without using Hawaiian Airlines name, and represent a non-existent US Airlines (notably not the real name US Airways). Thus, it is hardly surprising that the following is from the Better Business Bureau  reports -- (www.la.bbb.org (to see spell out name First Class Travel))

"Most complainants allege services and contracts are misrepresented, deceptive and misleading. Specifically, complainants allege they were to receive 2 free airline tickets to Hawaii or Las Vegas, all accommodations paid, if they attended a 90 minute presentation. After attending the presentation, customer?s allege they are unable to get the airline tickets and are told they will be responsible for taxes. Other complainants allege they receive harassing phone calls from collection agencies for services never rendered and already paid in full. The company responds to most complaints by advising complainants that all paperwork concerning their sales transaction was presented at the time of the sale. Most refund requests are denied based on the requests being received past the 7 days allowed in the contract. The company addresses complaints regarding inability to use promotional vacation certificates, by assisting the complainant in making travel arrangements, or offering clarification on the terms of their travel certificates. Allegations concerning verbal misrepresentations are generally not addressed."

I didn't actually get a call-- or at least if they tried it was so obviously telemarketing that they weren't given the chance to identify themselves. On 8/31/09 I got a tear-off-the-ends-and-unfold birthday pitch with the same round-trip airfare business and a primitive sample boarding pass labeled "Travel Itinerary Sample". Origin West Palm Beach, Florida. What I noticed first was that there was no website URL; what legitimate travel business doesn't have a website? Also it doesn't actually say that the airfare is free, just that I'll receive it. Then I checked and saw that there wasn't any such company as "US Airlines", and when I Googled "1st Class Travel" in Costa Mesa I found this 800notes page and thought I should comment. The number given on my copy was (888) 472-8030-- and, if I respond within 48 hours (of when?) I'll also receive a complimentary car rental. Then there's a Thrifty Car Rental logo. I plan to turn mine in to my local post office, perhaps including a printout of some of the remarks I found here. Let's shut 'em down!

Fricken Credit Card Company!!! Whenever I apply for something on the internet (which is rarely), I always include a different Middle name - I keep track of the middle names (or initials) to see which CC companies, or magazine companies are selling my name. PayPal is the absolute WORST at selling your name, but I got one of these cards this week, and CapitalOne is the surprise culprit here - Disappointed and not happy.

This is a scam - thanks for the FTC link - I will be using it -

Protect yourself - use a middle initial and/or middle name when applying for stuff and keep track.

Yeah, just got this postcard in the mail (8/13/09) and I was actually really surprised and elated at first...after a short lapse in judgment, my common sense kicked in and thought is this a scam of some sort?  Did an internet search on "1st Class Travel" in Costa Mesa and came across this post.  My offer is in celebration of "THEIR" anniversary for Two Adult Round-Trip Airfares to Honululu, Hawaii.  Sounded weird to me because it says "adult" as if I'm paying for a buffet or something.  Number listed is 1-888-299-2010.  And posted from Tampa, FL.  Why would an Orange County, Ca. based company be sending out stuff from the other side of the country?
