Called my work asking for a co-worker..Was very rude. Acting like I was lying to him. Kept trying to get me to speak on behalf of a co-worker for a supposed debt. Very harrasing and unprofessional !!!!  They are not a law firm either. But a collection agency that is trying to pose as a law firm for scare tactics.

Yes I can relate to the same as everyone of you...HAHA!!!! The number i get the call from is 1-888-279-1392 .yes they are the same people< victor vega, mark rayes etc. from roland and rivera. do what i do don't answer, they can only be mad at themselves, why waste your time argue with smart butts, remember this is what they get paid to do , to get on our nerves and make us have a bad day. so don't let them. If you owe debt to anyone rember you can pay them directly no matter how long ago it was, no company will refuse take a payment on a debt you owe them,why because you owe them money, and the way the economy is now everyone wants their money!!!!!! just as long as they get it they're happy!!!!!!!!!!

AL Reid called me on my job. I had never gotten any mail or calls at home. He told me he had a private investigator and "we are gonna come to your job and take that little car you have, you don't pay anyone we see, see what you say when we arrest you at your job" they would not give me any account numbers or or proof.  They were so ruded I called the police Al Reid said "that was STUPID why'd you call the police they can't help you, you are gonna pay us 1,700 one way or another" I was so dumbfounded, my mouth was hanging open on the phone. I called the manager which was the same guy to only get more harrassments and threats. Please file with the FTC and the BBB and the POLICE when they call you. They like to call you on your job to scare you into paying so you won't be ashamed or arrested at you job.

This Al Reid called my mother and harassed her.. I called him and told him that I would give him my home number but to please not bother her anymore.. He called her a duragatory name and told me that she could expect a call everyday until the measly $100 was paid.  Then hung up on me.  I would like to thank Alfalfa for there address.. I'm going to take a dump in a UPS box and over night it to the jerk!

Right now Im Unemployed and they said that is no Excuse and they where very rude about it and They will and I will say again claim they are a Law firm and I even checked the # out they will say Professional Services Inc and looked up their Law firm name and there was no Rawlins and Rivera Law firm in Las Vegas because when I typed Winters and Yonker it immediately showed there Law firm address and all same with Glenn Learner of Las Vegas..

I got a call from them claiming they are Lawyers and I did everything in looking them up in the Internet and there was No Rolands and Riveria.. and After reading this He uses a name of Mr Reid they also go by the # to Call them back of 888-279-2529..

These*****called my mom and my sister in law whom I have no ties with looking for my wife they left personal information on both my mothers and sister in laws voicemail wich is embarassing as well as illegal from what I understand with all the new privacy laws. When my wife called them back they were very very very rude!!!!! they called her names insulted her and even threatend her if she didn't pay money they say we owe but we can find no proof that the debt is legitament

I just got a voice message at work.  They were looking for me to forward a message to a sibling.  I called to ask them to remove my name and not call me again for a sibling's debt.  Sam Stevens is the person who called and left the message.   When I returned the call a Dave answered the phone.  He was rude and unprofessional and HUNG UP on me.  I called back because I, too, didn't believe a professional would hang up.  Only to find "Dave" just as rude, in fact, more rude by calling names and then hanging up AGAIN.   I don't know who these people are but professionals they are NOT!!!

"Mr. Ellis" just got a tongue-lashing from me. I cannot wait for him to call again! I received a call this morning and decided to call back and ask for him. I blocked my number, since he calls from a "No Caller ID" # and I let him have it! He was telling me not to call him back by the time I hung up. The nerve of people! You call me and harass me over someone I don't know and then want to run when I call your bluff. And, FYI, they are connected to 888-273-4922.

Roland & Riviera stared harassing my brother yesterday for an old fitness membership of arond $340. He thought he had taken care of it with the gym and attempted to tell them, but NO.  A Mr. Ellis called him slime, among other things. Ellis continued to call him all day, each time with new threats and outrageous statements. My brother really let him have it in the end. This morning he called our MOTHER and told her there was going to be a summons issued for my brother's arrest and that she raised "some fine son".  She is 84 and MAD!  She called them back to get the name of the company since they don't clearly state it when they call.  We are reporting them to every agency we can think of!

Oh, and half of the time, the money that they get paid, don't even make it to the original companies that hired them to collect the debt.  There is a bailbonds man that hired them to collect on his debts and they collected and never gave him any money.  They owe him thousands!

They call me too.  The 3.4 million they were ordered to pay, they didn?t.   The court went easy on them and dropped much of the fine.  I don?t think they even use real names when they call.  Ellis, Knight, Black ? all one syllable names that they want to sound threatening.  And because they know they are not following proper procedures.  They cannot charge you more than what you actually owe (no court fees, no attorney fees).  And they cannot bring a suit against you.  An attorney has to.  That is if they find any reputable attorney to do this for a measly few hundred dollars.  They use to work with an attorney that let them use his letter head and he was mentioned in the suit as well.  You can tape them when they call you and sue them.  Some have been successful and won $1,000.  Whether you owe the debt or not.

They are still operating.  I got a message today from a Mr. Black, concerning a legal mater
with my (late) father in law.  When I called back someone in his office took the call, and
mumbled something about a medical transport.  When I asked him to repeat what he said
he screamed "you can pay for the lawsuit, did that get you're attention, you'd better get a lawyer"
I replied that I didn't like his attitude, that my father in law has been dead 2 years, but he had
already hung up.  Somehow I don't think I've heard the last of these bottom feeders.  They were
very much trying to give the impression that they are a law firm.  I've been plagued by another firm
that constantly calls with a recording -- this time they are using my dead father name.  Seems to be
a cottage industry -- go after the estates of dead people?

Update:  This collection agency is actually Rawlins & Rivera and were hit with a $3.4 million FTC judgement in 2007 for a number of violations including misrepresenting themselves as attorneys.  If you "Google" Rawlins & Rivera you will find they have a number of lawsuits pending against them.  They are allowed to contiue operating as a collection agency (?!?!) but they are barred from falsely representing the character, amount or legal status of a consumer's debt.  BEWARE!

Is there any oversight or protection from low-lifes like this?  Rude, condecending, obnoxious, and a real idiot.  Doesn't know the first thing about manners much less how to collect.  Whoever hires these animals will be sorry, they will smear their name big-time.  All this for less than a $100 collection that I had intended to pay until I spoke with this jerk!!

Roland & Riviera is a collection agency with a mailing address in Atlanta, GA--they make it sound like it is a street address by using a suite # but it is actually just a mail box with Mail Boxes Etc.  They do not follow federal collection laws (F.D.C.P.A. & HIPAA) as with my experience they did 3rd party disclosure and made false threats (against my deceased father, no less).  I was told I could not work with the original creditor (but under F.D.C.P.A. you can refuse to work with a collection agency as long as you will resolve the debt with the original creditor).  I would have been immediately fired from my job of 15 years had I handled a call the way they handled mine (and I called them to pay the balance eventhough I am not liable for the debt!). I will not pay Roland & Riviera, even though they say their contract states I cannot pay the original creditor--I will pay to the original creditor.  I am also going to report Roland & Riviera (with all the detailed information that I have, including names) to the FTC (they oversee collection agencies), the Atlanta Attorney General, the California Attorney General and the American Collectors Association.  I question their legitimacy, eventhough I did confirm with the original creditor they do have a contract with them.  Roland & Riviera and their staff are why collection laws were put in place.

guy has a history if we search the internet of harrassing people at work or at home.  Over petty money.

This Cook guy called my wife today threating her for moneny, that he can take the money any way her wants, her jewelery, her bank account or her house or income tax.  They sound like a collections agency.

Mr. Cook called and asked for someone that doesn't live here and that we have never known. I told him that no one by that name lives here, he said they had called from my number (which is crap because I don't know the person) and he hung up on me. Not only that but he called back the next day and left another message for the same person. We called back and he hung up on my husband. My husband had told him that the guy didn't live here and that I had told him yesterday that he didn't. Mr Cook said something like "I Didn't know that it was that difficult of a question to answer" and hung up.
We called back to complain and talked to the "receptionist" or "Operator" and she is going to make sure that the number is taken out of the system.
Rude people. When asked what type of business it was we were told it didn't matter because the person they were looking for didn't live here. I wondered what their business name was in case I wanted to complain to the BBB or something. The girl that answered sounded like she was saying "Hi how my I direct your call?"
Anyone know what type of business they are? I don't want them calling here again. I am curious to know. We are on the "do not call" opt out list and they shouldn't be calling anyway.
