Telus trying to say I owe them money from 7 years ago. WTF!!! Why start calling 7 year after i gave up your phone and switch to a new company. I guess your in the big 3, so you can do whatever the F you want. We should all press harassment charges!!!!

This number calls my cell phone repeatedly through the day.
It's become so bothersome that I have to mute my ringer while working - and the number they are phoning is my WORK CELL. Dorks. Never anything other than a file number to reference and the 888.289.9807 number to phone back. Upon trying to phone back, I get tossed onto hold every time. They are phoning me up to 4 times a day right now.
I literally have NO clue what they are phoning for.

I don't think they are Telus, as one person suggested. Basically, companies like Telus & Rogers sell their debts to companies like "the credit bureau", the of Canada part is just how they registered their name. They are a real company, but should be considered a parasite, really.
My issue was with Rogers' practices, and yes they wanted to charge me for cancelling an account that already had not been provided with service for over three weeks.
This call is a collection agency, and you will never talk to a person right away, or the same person twice. I just added the number to my phone under the category "IGNORE" and gave it a ringtone of an mp3 with 1sec of silence, which of course loops when the phone is ringing, so I only notice when the phone is in my pocket and vibrating.
Usually daily calls, but they also rotate the times from day to day with me. Then a week or two can go by, and it starts again.
This seems to be inevitable result of dealing with a bad company (in my case, Rogers) ... because they will try to haunt you with their supposed "contract" even though technically they are in violation of some items IN that contract. As a regular nobody, you can't really do a whole lot, except take the hit on your credit score.

I have been receiving these calls for 2 years. They never identify themselves as Telus, but as the Credit Bureau of Canada Agency. They will not give me their name otherwise. Sometimes it is a computer voice and I'm put into a queue, and other times it is a real person calling.
I don't owe them any money, so I wish they would stop calling!

I keep getting it to. Coming up international number. I work all day and never get calls at night. No message left on voice mail. But they call me everyday except weekends.

I have no idea who they are. As soon as I answer, I'm put on hold "as all of our representatives are currently unavailable". I'm sorry but I'm freaking busy with a baby and some home renos here, if you don't have the time to call then don't bloody call. And they never identify themselves, they call asking for someone else in the household who is never available when they call. They simply say thank you and hang up. Whenever I do wait for someone to answer, all I get is a name and asking for said individual. If its the credit bureau as most people here are saying, then I understand why. But I don't get why they don't identify themselves first or why I'm in a wait queue for the next operator.

They called me twice before and I missed the call twice. I called back and they tried to get my personal information so I told them that I'm not comfortable sharing them before they tell me who they are and what they do. All they told me was that they are from credit bureau agency canada and they collect money. They were in such a hurry to get my info out of me so I didn't give them away and told them that I'd call back. I really don't know whether I should call them back though...

Have been getting these calls once a day, 6 days a week, sometimes as early as 8a.m. Call themselves Credit Burea of Toronto.
They are demanding $60 . I told them I cancelled my cell phone service with at least two months notice,
but they insist I owe them another month plus interest. Now I just hang up on them, I used to try and explain
but they don't listen.

calls from this phone number name stated is credit bureau collections agency canada or ms. white. Initiated a fraud investigation this past week due to these calls asking for specific bank information.

Calls from this phone number are from Credit Bureau collections Agency of canada a name that does not seem to have a website. One phone call was from a ms. white.

Agree it probably TelusCell phone dept-that "very urgent message " is their collections dept, and we are getting SaskTel's security dept to go after them. Telus cheated our son-refused to give him another $200,00 phone when his quit working even though he had purchased the extended warranty through Visions when he signed up for the service. He was a supervisor on a highway crew and needed his cell phone. Was back in the city for 1 day only to get a new phone, so he then went to SaskTel, Mobility instead.
Our son did not live here and had not for years when this happened, but Telus has been harassing us ever since, wanting us or him to pay a $200.00 fine for not continuing his service with them, even though there was no time left on their contract with him!
At first wrote them numerous letters, and made numerous phone calls. Telus claimed Visions was responible for replacing the cell phone, Visions claimed Telus was responsible.
For 3 years, Telus has been harassing us. They tried to claim it was a collection agency whom I wrote and told the whole story to, and I thought they had stopped calling but then I found out that number is also associated with Telus so 2 different Telus numbers were doing the harassing.
Good luck to everyone. Keep putting the info on every net site you can and spread the information around.
If we all trace a few calls and turn them over to the authorities, maybe we can get it stopped.

We get the same call almost daily for our son... The recorded "very urgent message"... but like the other poster here.. my son has not lived at home in some time! I just called the number back and was told it was a Canadian Collections agency... The gentleman I spoke to was very pleasant and said they were calling my number because it was noted on the account as the contact number. I did not give them a contact number for my son but said I would pass along one more message to him.. and want my number removed from the account. the guy said he removed it. Whether or not he did I don't know.. We'll see if the calls continue.

Still calling about once a week. Collection agency looking for a Kristian F Bailey, who I don't know. I still won't answer it, let it go to voice mail. If they had a real person calling instead of a robo call, then they would know that they have the wrong number. As, my voice mail indicates that only one person (my name) is associated with this number. Looking for someone else, you have the wrong number.

This and or other numbers similar call often saying "urgent message please hold". I listen to music then it stops then I hear a dial tone and the call ends. I'm done with telemarketers and I'm doing everything I can to stop this!!

Called my cell and left a message for someone I do not know to call 1-905-565-4529. From what I found the call maybe coming from the Mississauga area. I have had other collection agencies call for this same person. I tell them they have the wrong number and the calls stop for a bit, but then they sell my number to another collection agency and it starts all over again. So, I just don't answer them anymore.
