Yes it is.   A scam.  Never give personal information to anyone over the phone.  Looks to me like a kitchen-table debt scammer working out of someone's house or apartment.

Real legal servers do not call you, they just show up.  Signs of a extortion scam operations:  wont give you a real legal business name, legal street address that is verifiable via google maps,refuses to send proof (debt validation per the FDCPA law) via the US mail (neither phone,fax or email are legal) wants to cut a deal for x amount under a over priced "debt" you are clueless about and the biggest red flag is : Green Dot or similar untraceable card.

I'm getting phone calls from a Kimberly saying she's looking for me to serve me papers. And want tell me what they are,she says she doesn't know. Just needs my address and my jobs address.!! She's called all my family looking for me after I told her to stop and stay away.. Is This a scam? She want tell me who she works for either.

Got a call from ARM pre-litigation telling me I had fraudulent activity reported on my account and against my social security number and to call 866-244-8375 Immediately.  Whatever.

I have been receiving the same calls from Pacific 877-849-9706...very rude ppl trying to get all my info but giving NONE of theirs in return. Trying to scare me into paying them but I have not given in. Stating they have a locator coming to my place of employment and so forth and my claim is in pre-litigation. I told them my aunt was a lawyer and needed to see all of this in writing they stated the only thing I could receive in writing is what the locator will give me. Any suggestions on how to get these people to quit calling??

They are now calling my family searching for me saying they are detectives and getting ready to serve me papers, so glad I found this site.  the number now is 877-849-9706  and using the name of a famous football player Curtis walker to boot.  I hope everyone sees this and I would hope the government will get on them for their tatics and unethical practices. They should be sued and brought to justice.

I received a message from my friend who said that someone by the name of Ray Bishop of El Paso with a call back number and a "claim number" against me was asking my whereabouts.  The number left to call back was 855-462-6809. When I called it back, there was no one by that name of Ray Bishop there and I was told by an Anthony Davis that he could look up the claim number.  A woman by the name of Amanda came on the line and began baggering me with wanting either my last four of my SS# or my birth date.  When I said why, she got even mor hasty and nasty with me and said louder that she HAD my entire SS# in front of her but that I had to verify my last 4 and my entire birthdate or else she wouldnt be able to help me.  I asked again what type of firm this was and she snapped "a pre litigation firm!"  Then she said that I needed to give her my last four NOW.  When I said that I needed some verification of who they were and their address and her full name, she told me that I needed to be quiet and give her that information  - that is when I hung up.

Though I was very angry, I called back the 855 number and asked for their address.  I was told by a young man who didnt want to state his name that they are based out of California and that they CANNOT GIVE OUT THEIR ADDRESS FOR SECURITY REASONS BUT THAT HE COULD TAKE MY NAME AND SS# TO VERIFY IF THEY HAVE A CLAIM(S) AGAINST ME.  

This is when I realized that I would have been a complete fool to give out my SS# and full date of birth to them.  If it is one thing that I have learned from business is this :  ONE SHOULD ALWAYS BE ABLE TO GIVE OUT ONE'S BUSINESS NAME AND NUMBER.  If  the IRS tracks you, and businesses, what kind of sham is this PACIFIC Pre-Litigation set of individuals trying to pull?  California needs to watch out for their citizens much better.  And I am all the way on the east coast.  What scam artistsssss.

Received a call from a local number 214 919 1727 today stating she was a "Locater" and needed me to verify my address  so she can serve me papers.  I asked her what she called herself serving me papers for and she said something about the envelope being "sealed" so she didn't know exactly what it was all about but she gave me a "case number" and a phone number of 866 241 8621 to call.

I immediately called the number and it was to some "pre litigation" company called Pacific and they told me I had a payday loan that was deposited into my Chase account back in 2/08 that I never paid.  Well, first of all..I have never banked with Chase in my life, and 2nd I never took out a payday loan in 2/08. I asked the receptionist for their address and she said she couldn't give it to me due to security reasons.  She went on to asking me if I wanted to use Visa or MC to pay it off.  HA!  Never!  

Later in the evening, I called the number that the "Locater" called me from and a guy answered the phone (with kids talking in the background) saying K&S (or KNS) Heating and Air!  What a hoax!  I got online and tried to look up the company Pacific Pre Litigation and it is NOWHERE to be found.  I found a forum of people who made the same scam complaints as mine about a fake company called Global pre litigation and it seems that Global may now be operating under the name  Pacific now.  DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR INFORMATION TO THESE FOLKS FROM HELL!  They are liars and will try to use strong arm tactics to scare you.  Get as much information as you can from them and look them up before you do anything!

I got two rather nasty msg from a NICK MYERS calling for my Ex who I've been divorced from for 12 yrs. on my HOME phone that we didn't even live in together.  Caller I.D. says the dialer # was 941-474-2984.  Can't call the local #, it won't ring.  Threatened charges against the ex.  I'm keeping a log because I am NOT going to tolerate collection calls for my EX.  When I called them back, I told them I was recording the call.  he he

I got a voicemail from Kimberly King.  She is quite a loud talker!  Had me laughing.  Like the louder she talked the more intimidating she would be.  Didn't work, sorry hunny!  Try that on someone that is a little less educated in law!  This is a collection agency.  They are NOT going to come to your home so don't let them scare you when they say they have verified the address.  I understand (kind of) why the agency would want to hunt people down and try to collect money, but it baffles me how people like Kimberly King, who is probable earning about $10/hr. can live with themselves.  They have no idea who they are talking to and yet they feel they can threaten and talk down to people.  I pray for souls like hers.

There was a message left from a Kimberly King askin to speak with the manager of Donna J n left  claim numb etc. I call the # and the women who answer told me I was talking to much etc and then ask for my Soc Sec # like if I would b dum to tell that so she ask for the last 4 digits of SS# and she said no thats not the Donna we are looking for n she stilll was being a smart A n I told her I was going to report this firm n that Kimbery King

Its a pre litigation firm. They helped me settle my charges before court for child support. The first guy I talked to was a j*** off but the next guy helped me no problem and I was able to settle before court
