If you answer they try to act like they're your 'bestest buddy' then they go into a long spiel over missing children and 'how much can they put you down for?' to keep this horrible tragedy from recurring. Any call with the '888' prefix is best ignored. I learned my lesson today.

# called 6:30 p.m. 12-15-13 - caller ID "Toll Free Call" - No message left.

We've received so many calls from these people that we've had to involve local law enforcement and there is an ongoing investigation into the harrassment & if it's actually a scam since they are insisting on donations.  For months we told them to stop calling & they would often get belligerent and rude with us.  Most of our calls have come from the 888-390-7581 number, but we are now also receiving calls from 704-574-8176 & someone who claims to be the manager.  He called at 6:30 p.m. on a Sunday evening to apologize for the other calls made to us that day!  So, if you're being harassed & can't get the callers to stop calling, call 1-704-574-8176 and voice your complaints to the "manager".  I also recommend reporting the situation for your REAL local law enforcement.  

I called it 11/24/2013 and got this recording You've reached the sponsorship office for Tennessee law enforcement officers association.

2pm call, CID says "toll free number". I answer and wait. Don't hear boiler room noise, so say hello.
It's good old so and so calling from TN law something. They are doing a child ID program, and want to send me a packet, and then I can send money. I simply say NO. Next he says he will send me the packet and can I send even $10. I say NO. He hangs up. As a general rule I let them deliver the whole spiel, then a one word NO, that usually gets rid of them.

Call from this "Toll Free" # 11-6-13 7:59 p.m.  Didn't answer; no message left.  Consider it a telemarketer.

Call from this # 3:11 p.m. 10-3-13 - Caller ID said Toll Free Call.  Didn't answer, no message left.  Recently they have been letting call go to answering machine before hanging up.  So answering machine beeps, but silence when you check message.

Call from # 4:44 p.m. 9-11-13 - Didn't answer; no message left.

I just the same call, answered n it hung up. I called it back with my no blocked. And got a voice mail that stated that they was with the Law Enforcement and if I wanted my name and no removed from their call list then leave it. It takes up to 30 days to stop these calls. Yea! I'll believe it when I see it.

The usual routine. They call me but do not leave a message. I did not answer. Caller ID showed 888-290-7581. At 2pm on Sunday afternoon.

We have been inundated with calls from ( supposedly) the Tennessee Law Enforcement organisation lately, asking for donations for some school children's identification program! I am in doubt to where these donations are going. It seems we keep getting more and more calls from TN Law Enforcement asking for $ for various projects!

Just a "charity" begging for money so the people who run it don't have to work. No money goes to any law enforcement agency.

They called me and insisted they send me an envelope. They wanted me to confirm my address. I told them I did not wish to contribute. They said I did not have to commit at this time and they would send an envelop out. I hung up.

No More Calls Please

Called 3 times on Sunday Afternoon. No message. I have gotten these calls before, saying that this was so&so, and that they were from Tennessee Law Enforcement, blah, blah, blah. My aunt asked our local law enforcement chief if they ever get any $$$ from these organizations, and his response was "No." I know they have resorted to using 865 numbers which makes you think it is someone's cell #. I've talked to these individuals before, and, they sound like they're drunk at times. Anyhow, I "Googled" this number, and ran across this website.

Thank you for posting about this company. I don't answer it if I don't know it. If it is important, they will leave a message.  I wish these companies would stop calling, but, apparently, the "DoNotCall.gov" law does not apply to them. Very frustrating. Sorry for all who are bothered by these pests.

The caller claimed to be a John with TN law enforcement raising $ for a kids I.D. program. Because I gave to them once about 6 years ago they continue to call begging for more $. The next time I donate to a charity  I won't be giving out my phone #.

This is an outfit that I'm unsure is actually contracted out by Tennessee Law Enforcement fraternal organizations or not. They usually want a donation to help some vague cause that law enforcement backs or sell tickets to a concert that is sponsored by a law enforcement group. My local lodge was actually sponsoring a concert a couple years back with well known acts but this outfit didn't handle ticket sales. If you ever donate once, you'll get called twice as much!

Me too. Guy stated that he was my old buddy James or whatever from The Tennessee Law Enforcement Assoc. or some crap to that effect. Wanted to know if I could help them out with....I interrupted him and told him I was not interested and put me on their Do Not Call list. I hung up and the B**tards called me back the next week!

The caller id did not show anything except the tollfree number 1-888-290-7581. The caller stated his name was John and he was calling for Tennessee Law Enforcement.
