I kept getting calls (every 20 minutes) even after canceling my card and getting the charges reversed.
A few nights ago, my fiance answered and started babbling in Swedish.
They kept asking for me and my fiance kept saying "I do not know of a Christine".
They haven't called since.

They call all the time and actually called twice today, I just read about who this possibly is!!!! Have no idea why they would call me but would like for them to stop, can I put this number on a call block somehow!!??

These folks have started to call me out of the blue. I have not filled for any goverment grants and don't need to. Each time I call to find out who it is I get you have called our corporate office. And that is it. I have called my phone service and they say I can't block this number or any other. I belong to Bluegrass cellular in Kentucky. Don't apprciate this company harrassing us. I firmly believe that this is a scam.

Keep getting this call and they will not leave a message. When you call it back all you get is a recording to leave a message. I left a message told them to quit calling me but they still call.

So does anyone know how to get rid of them?

My parents called me to report that they received multiple calls from this number the other day asking for me, but I don't live there anymore. They have apparently stopped calling; however, now I have about 25 fraudulant charges on my credit card. WTF. If you see this number on your caller ID, check your credit card statements for charges from Grant Consultant or anything to do with grants. I have never ever searched anything about grants and they got me somehow...

these call all during the night will not stop! when I answer they hang up! I can hear people in the back ground like telemarketers, people talking... phones ringing!If I let the answering machine pick up they also hang up.

If they will not announce who they are, they why bother people! I have my phone number registered with Do not call.org if I ever find out who they are I will report them to everyone I can!

starting 02/27/08 at 6.30pm est and just got another one

I have gotten 5 calls in the last 2 days from them, something about sending me free stuff and I told her as soon as she said free "stop, I dont want it, dont send it to me and dont call any more." and her responce was ok and then she hung up on me.

what is this bull that is going on? can we stop it some how and how did they get all our name and numbers?

I get this number and its some girl some how she knows my name and my cell and only friends n family get this number how did they git it and how do they kno my name??????

I just received my first call tonight and called the number back within 10 minutes. I got a recording and logged on to find out who was calling me. But I will be calling my wireless provider, since I have read your comments. Thanks and I hope that the problem is resolved for you all.

I recieved three calls tonight (the first ones ever) from this number.
They also kept hanging up, so I googled the number and came across this site.
I'm glad I read all your comments, because it drove me to check all my bank accounts right away (even though I have never signed up for anything grant-ralated).
Surprise!
I found 6 different charges in the last two days that I did not make on one of my accounts (an account that I very rarely use).
They were small amounts ("tester charges" is what the fraud-service rep for this bank told me) and it likely would get worse if I hadn't caught it.
The first charge on my account was actually for "Red Cross" for $100!
I haven't made any donations recently, so I have no idea what it was.
But considering that I had only used this card once in the past 2 months, I knew for sure that it wasn't anything from me.
The other transactions were for less than $10.00 each.
But each of these 6 charges showed up as "SIGNED PURCHASE" on my transaction activity.
I had my card cancelled and a new one sent out and my bank was wonderful at reversing all the charges.
They said that they have come across this scam many times before.
So thank you to everyone on here for sharing your experiences with this!

The one transaction I made on this account (before the fraudulent charges) was to TicketMaster online for hockey tickets.

If you receive calls from this number, please check your bank/credit accounts.
They have a hold of one of your credit/debit card numbers!

I have been receiving calls every hour for the last 2 days.  I checked my Chase VISA, and several $1.00 charges were made to some computer consulting group over the last 2 days. I promptly cancelled the card- and my discover just to be safe.

If you get a call from this number, check your accounts AND CANCEL YOUR CARD!! I too have been a victim of this scam. Thankfully I check my online banking daily, however they still managed to get ahold of about $600 within less than 24 hours. I began recieving calls the day after I found unauthorized charges on my account. I googled the number and found this website. Now it is all starting to make sense. I have about 10 charges- all unauthorized- from:

-FirstLDSave
-Grant Consultant
-Squareen
and more.

It seems to me, that when I call to dispute these charges, many of the people I have been talking to seem to be Asian. I read somewhere about some Green Tea scam...... this one may be it

I keep getting calls from this number.  No message.  It's very annoying.

i checked my bank statement online this morning.  I had some unusual pending transactions from Grant Consultant and Vista Printing.  I have never heard of either of these companies, so I know I've never purchased or signed up with them.  Then this afternoon, the 888-296-5054 started to call me.  Already called 3 times and left no messages.  I called my bank to ask about the charges.  I was told that I had to wait for the charges to actually post before I could dispute them, but until that happens, I have canceled my card and the bank is issuing me a new one.

This number keeps calling me every couple of hours.  I once answered it and was a recording (I don't recall what it said).  I wish there was a way to get them to stop calling me!

This number called me yesterday and I didn't answer. It called me again today asking to verify my information for some Federal Grant I had signed up for. I didn't sign up for any grant, and haven't even considered it. Ironically, a couple days ago, my bank had called me and said there was suspicious activity on my Visa Debit Card. They had a list of charges to verify that I didn't purchase. I find this wierd this is all happening within the last few days. I will be checking my credit and montioring my bank account...

they are charging your bank account in the amounts of 24.95 and 19.95.  it is linked to some grant scam.  I have notified by bank not to release funds to grant guide

Many cell phones have the ability to "screen" numbers that call you. If a number, (which you MUST store in your phone list) is added to the "Screen Number" on my phone, it will never ring when that number calls you. It silently goes to your voice mail but if you have detailed billing (get it for awhile if you don't currently have it) you will have an accurate record of the harassment you are experiencing to support any claim(s) you have.

I signed up for the free trial grantconsultant.com. I cancelled three days after I registered and got a confirmation number for my cancellation.  However, I was billed by Monster Keywords for $49.95 per month. I did not catch it for 2 months.  I called Monster Keywords Customer Service and cancelled and was told to write to the corporate office about my complaint.  I wrote Monster Keywords and they only explained that I had 7 days to cancel.  I could not get any other information from them, so I called my credit card company.  They thought that this situation is a "tag-on" since there was no other time I used my credit card on line on the same day that I charged my account to grantconsultants.  The credit card company is investigating the situation.  I am going to report them to the Las Vegas, NV Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General.

Thanks for the *77 tip.  In the last three hours since I got home from work, these morons have called me 10 times.  The last three times, either my son and I have picked up the phone and told them not to call us again.  I have now filed complaints with the donotcall registry, my phone company and, if they somehow get through the *77 block, I'll call the police.

VERY IMPORTANT EVERYBODY- First off, this is not just a simple sales "scam" and is certainly not a legitimate business just being annoying, so putting yourself on the do not call list, etc. will not work. This is a criminal / police issue. THESE PEOPLE ARE IDENTITY / CREDIT CARD THIEFS!  Document all calls from these people; times, dates, content, etc and file a report with the police.  Try and remember when you recently placed an order online or locally where you gave someone both your credit card number and your phone number these people are calling you on. That may be the link.  Also, please phone your bank immediately and check your credit / debit cards for any unlawful charges. If you have received calls from this number, you are a victim;  somehow these criminals have your personal information and they are fishing for more.  It is very important to file a police report and a also fraud report with your bank, if they used your credit card.  I too have been getting calls soliciting my personal information, etc.  These people are criminals and they are "fishing" for people willing to give them additional info.  Not sure how they got me because I don't sign up for anything and I am fairly careful with my info.  However, the only thing I can think of is that about a week ago, I ordered a pizza online from PAPA JOHN'S PIZZA and ironically, two days later, had fraudulent charges on the VISA I used to order the pizza and the calls from this 1-888-296-5054 started a few days later to the phone that I used for the pizza order.  Anyone else on here order from PAPA JOHN's lately, using a credit card?

the number 1888 296-5054 keeps calling me too. i just ignore them. i cant believe they keep listening to my voice message lmao. its a good one too.  so good my work dont call me at home ne more lol. but theese guys are still calling. got over 15 calls just today. they just hang up. what the heck. they got my cc number some how too, but i was smart and got rid of tht card so they can charge all they would like, the card dont exsist ne more. i think i may file  something with the bbb.  cause come on now how many times you gonna call in a day before you give up.

these people wont stop calling me either.(grant consult) is what we all have in common.I had to close all my accounts even my savings was in the negative.

Just like all the other people, they say I ordered a grant and they had my assress and my credit card #. When I stated that I had not ordered this we got cut off.When calling back the # only says "thanks for calling our corp. office"
They have called me 4 times today.

3 calls a day for the past 3 weeks who are these people? just got my first one for today. I called my cell phone company who advised me to report the # to the FCC 888 382-1222. good luck

maybe their headsets are on loud. so next time the call just blow a whistle or a horn in the phone, idiots. if everyone fills out a police report maybe one day there be a class action law suit or something???
