I just received a call on my verizon cell phone with the number 6101.  Automated service telling me my credit card was locked.  Please press .. . . .

I have been receiving calls from these a**holes for the past three months. I have been on the 'Do Not Call' list since 2003. I have called Summer Bay Resorts on two occasions and requested that I be taken off their listing. I still receive calls from 888-296-6101.

I really would love to join in a class-action lawsuit.

Recived several calls from this number stating that I had stayed in a Marriott Hotel in March of 2006.  When I asked where that hotel was and the exact time frame, the caller, a male, could not tell me.  When I told him that no one at this number had stayed in any Marriotts at that time, he got very rude and told me that it was not time for me to analyze him and hung up.  When I called back in the middle of the night to see where this call originated from, I got four rings and then instant and continuous jazz music, but never an answer.

SABRINA HAD A GREAT IDEA. IF ALL OF US CALL 888 782 9847 AND SAY SOMETHING IGNORANT OVER AND OVER UNTIL THEY HANG UP AND THEN DO IT AGAIN TWICE A DAY MAYBE THEY WILL GET THE MESSAGE

They call me 4-5 times a day!  I am always at work so I don't pick up my cell phone but I'm sick of seeing all these missed calls!  I need to go register on the Do Not Call list.

Recieve a call from this number occasionally. Immediately am hung up on when I answer. Get a busy signal when I call back.

I called Summer Bay Resort at 1-888-782-9847. After wading through menu after menu I finally spoke with a girl named Jessica. She asked for the number that I had been called on. After a breif pause told me that I was being contacted by their marketing department and that I would be placed on their do not call list. I told that if I ever recieved a call from this company again I would be filing suit and she hung up on me.

I receive call from this number several times every single day, once it was close to have a car accident.  Who the hell is it?

I called Summer Bay Resorts at 888-782-9847.  The person I spoke with said they go through many different marketing companies and could not say with certainty whether it was Summer Bay Resort related or not because she did recognize 888-296-6101.  She did a search on my cell phone number and nothing came up so I don't know what the hell that means.  If ANYONE has suggestions as to how to end this, please post!!  Thanks!!

Correction to above post, "The person I spoke with said they go through many different marketing companies and could not say with certainty whether it was Summer Bay Resort related or not because she did NOT recognize 888-296-6101."  In other words, calling 888-782-9847 is essentially useless because those people don't know there head from their a**es.

I would really appreciate it if you would stop calling me. It is a waste of your time as well as mine.

I have had over fifty calls from this number since August, like others when I answer there is no one on the phone, When I did a call back I just got music.

Today a person was on the other end from Summer Bay Resort in Orlando, FL.

He stated that I had a credit with them and they wanted me to use this up within the next two years. I would have to ay them $129 to set this up.

I listened to the spiel which took a long time before I asked to speak with a supervisor. A supervisor "Jesse Theodore". I explained that I had put my name on the National DO Not Call list, Filed a complaint with our local police department and notified the FBI.

Jesse got quite upset that I had wasted their time and had not simply said put me on your do not call list. Like it was my fault that they have been calling me and bothering me.

My suggestion is that when you finally get someone on the other end, string them along as long as you can and then ask them to put you on the do not call list, or if you are as pissed as I am ask to speak with a a supervisor, but not before wasting as much of their time with the first person as you can.

I have been receiving calls from this number for months. If answered the call automatically ends. When I call back all I ever hear is music.

Spoke with a supervisor from SummerBay Resorts named Jeff.  He said that they have separate satellite branches that work off independent databases.  He said he would take my name off their list but could not guarantee that I wouldn't get other calls from other branches.

I asked him where they got my information and he said that they get their information ofrom various sources (basically they buy call lists from target vendors), but that realistically about 90% of the data they get is correct; which means the other 10% is probably bogus numbers of random people.  I'm assuming everyone on this board is part of this 10%.  

So just be careful where you give out your number.  There are tons of companies that will sell you information to random companies.  This includes job sites like careerbuilder, monster, etc.

What the heck.

They've been calling for several days, maybe even weeks.  After reading the comments on here I decided to call Summer bay and the chick that answered freaking new my NAME!!!  So they know what they are doing .... Just call them and tell them to stop calling you ... we'll see if this works for ever or just a couple of months.

I recieve 1 - 3 calls a day since late August 2007.
Daily except Sat, Sundays and 4 days over Thanksgiving.
I am on the Nat. Do not call list and have sent a complaint for each call after Oct. 30th.
I also filed a complaint electronically with the FCC.
I looked up the company... Summer Bay Resorts
Called their 800 -350-6170 number and asked the gal who answered to take us off of the list.   She spoke poor english but I feel she understood what I said and she said she would take our number off of their list.   So far they are still calling.

I have been receiving phone calls from 888-296-6101 for several weeks now. They call on the average of 1-3 times per day.

I have answered the phone, and they hang on up me when I say hello.

I have let the messages go to voice mail, but they never leave one.

I have called the number back, and only got VERY annoying music.

Today I got fed up, and googled the number. On another forum, I saw someone post a message telling me to call 888-782-9847 for Summer Bay Resorts which was supposedly the company behind this.

The first time I called, I spoke with an operator who asked if she could help me. I politely told her that I would like to speak with someone who could remove my name from their call list. She promptly hung up on me.

I called back and pressed option 4 (problems and/or other issues). I spoke with a woman who called herself Amy Sprinkle. She was very nice, and apologized profusely. She listened to my story about the calls, the caller hanging up, the annoying music, and the rude operator. She told me that she would remove my number from their internal list. As for the 888-296-6101 number, she felt that it was one of their marketing companies. She promised me that she would forward my message to the General Manager for review. She again apologized and wished me a happy holiday.

We will see what happens. I will give it a couple of weeks due to the holiday.

I also logged onto the do not call registry website and filed a complaint. I intend to file a complaint EACH AND EVERY time I get a call from this company.

I called at&t and i have to pay to have this number blocked. I think we should all get together and sue the bastards. I get about five calls a day or more. The FCC won't do anything because they say that there isn't any voice communication. Time for a new FCC chairman too.

they call every single day, 5-6-7 times, I've been registered to DO NOT CALL REGISTRY, but this particular number always gets through. It's quite ANNOYING

Put me on the  Do Not Call list PLEASE!!!

I've been reporting this number since Oct. 2007, it's now almost January.  They call every day, sometimes 2 or 3 times. I've been on the National Do Not call registry for a long time.  I tried calling the Federal Trade Commission, and there is no one to talk to in person.  When I try an office, they say if you are calling about an unwanted phone call, don't call them.  I've reported them about 10 times, but I don't have the time to do it every single day! I'm about to change my cell phone number. Can't tell you what to do because it seems the the FTC doesn't give a crap if you report the number either.

Received several calls from 888 296 6101 in the past month. When I answer I normally hear them hang up immediately. However, today on the second call someone (a male)actually said hello, then would not respond to anything else that I had to say (I said that I did not want anymore calls from this number and asked what they had to hide that they would not speak to me after they called). The call came from a call center as I could hear voices in the background before they hung up. I called the number back but only got music.

"All of you need to go to the national do not call registry and register your numbers. It is an organization done by the Federal trade commission. I did it with my house and don't get any more calls."
....I get this call several times of the day, I dont answer, but if you call it back it is music, kindove creepy, so go and register your numbers!!!  I am right now.

They call me and hassel me everyday on my cell phone and I did the do not call registry and they keep calling me!
