Got this advice from another site which was complaining about the same number.
These a***oles keep calling me, so I called "Mr. Swayze". His first question is how I got that number, I said I have ways and second he can deal with my lawyer if he has anymore questions. Next I asked him to remove any numbers listed for me.  He said fine after arguing for a little while, I also told him I wasn't calling to have a conversation with him and this call is being recorded - at which time he got pretty mad, he said I should have told him I was recording the call. My reply was and I'm also not supposed to have your number so I suggest you do as you are told or else you will deal with my lawyer.

Here are the numbers from a previous post thanks whoever you are!
"The owner of this company is Henry Swayze and his direct line is 866-7237980. If you call after hours it sometimes rings through to his cell phone. His fax # is 3033694061. The VP of the Buffalo office is Mike Porth. The assistant to the VP is Jo Deguillio and his direct number is 877 298 2251 ext. 3502.

Give these guys a call directly if you get a call and they are rude. keep calling and leaving messages of your own. I'm sure that they don't want you to have these numbers. The employees guard them pretty closely."

The same rude a***ole named "Corbin" has been calling for months saying I owe them (Creditors Financial Group) money. He has called me irresponsible, a bum, and other derogatory terms. He always speaks in a hateful tone of voice, so of course I do not want to deal with him. I've repeatedly asked him to send me something in writing, and guess what? 6 months later i HAVE NOT GOTTEN ANYTHING in the mail. Scam in my opinion. Now, if only they would STOP CALLING. He even calls MY PARENTS, whom I don't even live with, to ask them to relay messages to me.

I was getting dunned by a collection agency for Honda for a debt not mine.  My lawyer told me to send them a letter containing the following statement.  It worked - haven't heard from them since.

This letter is being sent to you pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1692g that the validity of the debt you claim I owe is disputed and verification is requested.

I respectfully request that your offices provide me with competent evidence to verify I have any legal obligation to pay you the exact amount you claim.

Please provide me with the following:

? Provide a breakdown of all monies allegedly owed, and what the money you say I owe is for;
? Explain and show me how you calculated what you say I owe;
? Provide me with copies of any papers that show that I agreed to pay what you say I owe;
? Provide me with copies of any paper that show that you have the right to collect the alleged debt you say I owe;
? Identify the original creditor.

Pursuant to the FDCPA, you must cease all collection activity until the alleged debt is validated.

They are from Bank of America, I lost my job in April, 2012 my husband has stage 4 lung and spleen cancer,
I told the rep I cannot afford to pay them a cent, I can;t afford to pay all my bills now.  she  said she would call me back in February to see what type of arrangement they can make.  good luck.  If I don't get a job i will not be able to pay anything in february.   I am waiting on these millions of job Obama is supposed to be creating in the past 4 years and now we have him for another 4 years.   We who thought we had it made 10 years ago are struggling now with buying homes when the prices were at their pinnacle and having the balloon break.  I pray for all of you who are getting these calls from collection agencies, but we can only pay so much.

I keep receiving calls from this number asking for a Corrine Hack or Heck. I keep telling them that I do not know this person and never have. They keep promising to take me off of their call list but within another month they call again. It is very frustrating! How do I get them to ACTUALLY take my number out of their call system before I change my number?

When you see an unknown 800 level number come up on your phone, just simply do not answer. You are not required to. Consider these people are scammers who are only going to take advantage of you. If a company is really serious about getting $$ from you , then they will sue you in a court of law. Two things can happen, settle out of court with the other lawyer for pennies on the dollar, or go to a trial. You can easily work out a payment plan, and you will have the court behind you. They cannot harrass you, and if they do, you at least now know who they are and you can deal with them (if needed) out in the street later on!

Keep the fast-food-headset-phone jockeys out of work. Dont answer- never give out info over the phone- remember, they give fake names- you have no way of knowing who they are, be smart!

This time they left a message with whom they were calling for (wrong number), and a case number and extension to call back.  I called back to let them know that the person they were looking for (I apparently mispronounced the name as I heard it on the voicemail), had nothing to do with our number which we have had for a number of years.  The collector's demeanor changed, and said he would be removing our number from their file.  Time will tell whether or not they will stop calling, but at this moment, I have no reason to expect that they won't.

Any valid debt must be documented.. Send the damn bill bottom feeders, THEN call.

Second, regarding non recourse loans in non-recourse states.  Statutes say that once a house forecloses on a PURCHASE MONEY LOAN, the deficiency is uncollectable, so any attempts to collect on a wiped out debt is fraud, no matter who sold you the names.

Third, I will be having my wilderness whistle right at the ready if you do not stop calling the first time I ask.  If you treasure your eardrums, 20k can be better had at your local mcdonalds.   I will not be terrorized by bogus debt claims and I won't be harassed.   I urge others to go buy whistles as well.

This number called me several times and left messages for someone with the same last name. Finally one day I answerd their phone call and told them the person who they want to reach does not live at this place. However, as like anyother debt collectors, they would not let it go and try to ask me about the same person. I told them to stop calling me. Stopped for couple of months. Today, a guy named Keith calls me and in a abuse tone asks for the same person who doesn't exist. I asked him how did he get my #. He told me its listed as me in the contact list. So I tod him if it just listed as contact, I don't owe you anything, why do you call me for someother person? He just does not want to listen, however wanted to leave a mesage the person who doesn't exist like an idiot. I told them to take my # off their list.

Just ingnore the 800 numbers! Don't answer them. They are automated calls, and when you pick it up and say hello, the headset phone jockey gets on the line!

Dont answer them, and never ever discuss financial info over the phone. If you do make the mistake and answer, never give personal info. You dont know who these scumbags are. They give fake names, and you have no way of knowing if they are legit. Let them sue you,. court costs are cheap, and then you can see these losers in court, and deal with them appropriately!

It is simple. These are "bottom feeders" who go after charged off accounts. Don't answer. You don't have to pay them, and if these head-set fast-food phone-jockeys are legit, they will take you to court! Screw them! make their jobs difficult. swear at them. Keep calling them back from a number that can't be traced. harrass them. Remember, they use ficticious names! They are all a bunch of LOSERS! hahahahahahahahaha fast as fast can be you'll never catch me! hahahahahaha

You don't have to answer these phone calls. I know you may be tempted, just don't do it. By law you don't have to answer.

Do not discuss financial info over the phone. Most of these debt collectors are bottom-feeding scumbags who could not finish college so they have to do something so they can shop at Walmart for cheap food.

If the debt collection agency is legit, they will send you a letter. Better yet, let them take you to court so you can see who these losers are. Meet them face to face! Then take appropriate action.

These shell companies buy debt for 10cents on the dollar then try to screw you to make a profit.

Give them a hard time. Make them come to you-

It's a debt collector on a fishing expedition.  Called me because my name was the same as another who doesn't pay her bills.  I informed them I wasn't the one they were looking for as I don't have an account with the organization they were calling about and the issue seems to be resolved.

natalie...you also have to state that these low life's have a F rating with the BBB the lowest rating you can get...so that means they violate the FDCPA and they use scare tactics and probably will steal your money from your bank account if you give them any info...i would not do business with a low life sleazy company that has a F rating with the BBB.

These people are debt collectors.  As far as I know they only call if it is legitimate bill you owe. The only other reason they may call you is if someone just gave them a number out of random.  These people I know of work with Bank of America and I don't know if they work with another company or not.  The name is Creditors Financial Group or known as CFG.  You will not get a bill from these people unless it is a collection notice saying you owe a certain amount otherwise just phone calls.
