Individual continues to call me from 707-239-7288 demanding that I give him my home and work address so that he can serve me with paperwork regarding a supposed debt. He refuses to give me his name and will not tell me what company he is calling form. He says that he is unauthorized to give me any information and that I need to call 888-298-9860 to get information. When I call 888-298-9860 they refuse to give me any information unless I give them my name, date of birth, social security number, and home and work addresses. I am not comfortable providing this personal information since I have no idea who is calling me or what it is regarding.

I got a call from Henry Adams demanding information.  He left a really nasty message on my voice mail in which I have turned over to my attorney.

I researched the number and came up with the following information.  The number is registered to the Fullerton Parkway Towers apartment building, 415 W. Fullerton Parkway, Chicago, IL 60614.

they called me also today and my grandmother and I paid off all my stuff like 2 years ago so I know I dont owe anybody anything. So it is a fraud?

they keep harassing me at my job and home and i talk to my legal aid lawyer and they are a fraud!

This company is a collection agency for payday advance companies.  They are a colletion/mediation firm that has been contracted from places like Checkngo and Checksmart for people that default on their payday advances.  They will call you with one of their representatives stating that they are enroute to your location, if you call them at 1-888-298-9860 you will be told that you can cancel the locating firm that has added an addition 200.00 on top of your fees by sending a release order.....the person in the same room with them.....They will tell you that if you set up arrangements with them they can stop the claim.....However when you got through the process of setting up payments, and give them a pre-paid card (do not give your banking information) you can ask that they send you the information in writing, as you are going to present that information to your attorney for review.  They will also tell you that as long as you have not been served with papers that you are still can save yourself being served at work. Be firm but polite and let the know that in order to proceed, that you will need somthing in writing to present to your attorney and that you will not be able to process those payments as you are in the middle of bankruptcy.  They will evade your question, they will evade your request, and will politely continue with trying to get the information from you as much as possible.  Again don't demand just politely ask that in order for you to present them with payment that you will need this information in writing to ensure the ligitimacy of your claim by your attorney.  

I will also advise that you retain an attorney as they can be held liable for presenting any information to your employer and/or family members they have given this information to.  Good Luck, and stand firm you will also want to call and file a complaint with the FTC,and better business bureau.  Document these calls as there was a woman who did sue a collection agency just like this and won the courts decision for the sum of 2 million $$.  Could be you the key is to document and follow through with what you tell them....do not give personal information...they already have that.

They called my mom, my mother & law both sister in-laws and stated I was being criminally charged.  I spoke to four reps that I had to yell at telling them they can?t call people and do that it?s against the law.  I was then told that a outside agency they contracted by them does the calls and they are not aware of the threats.  I WILL BE TAAKEING FUTHER LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THEM

I just received a call from this same firm. They had a person call me from a 313 cell phone number statin that they were on there way to serve me papers for a criminal or civil suit. When I called the 888-298-9860, they said they were representing cash advance but refuse to give me further information, statin I would be served. Basically its a collection company trying to intimidate you by the mention of a criminal suit notice they say it may be they are not sure. Please report them to the better buisness bureau. They can not misrepresent themselves its against the law!

its a scam, report it to the consume advocate. any debt collector firm should have information on the debt they are trying to collect .

They keep calling me and my Dad claiming I have "criminal or civil charges" against me, but won't give me any information since I refuse to verify my dob, name or ss#. They refuse to give their address. They claim they have no fax number. They say they can't give their information out because the company they represent requests not to have their information out. What the heck?

I am furious they called my Dad, who was so upset when they told him I had "charges against me". He is not in the best of health and I'm trying to see how to file a suit against a company whom I have no concrete information on.

Can anyone please help?  they say they are Metro Mediation Firm 888-298-9860, and used a "locator calling himself Henry Adams.813-422-7939. He said there were charges filed against me and I must verify my information to him in order that they be able to serve "documents, regarding a criminal or civil matter." HA!
