What a scam. Verizon has to be behind this some how. I explained I was under contract with another company and could not switch, even though they told me my bill would only be a certain amount and that the Broadband Service was at no charge. Ha Ha, a week and 1/2 later I received a modem in the mail. By the way it is still in the box. I received my bill with an additional $352.15 charge for the Verizon Broadband Services. If Verizon is not associated with this, then how can a modem router and all the bells and whistles arrive to your business? Once I saw the bill and realized what had taken place I called Verizon and they seem to be more than glad to help. What?s up with that? They know we are being scammed and that is why they never gave me a problem returning it. They even paid to have it returned. The person who told me she was with Verizon was Jennifer Knight, also at 888-299-0253, when I called the # I got a voice mail saying he would be out the week of something, no name no company name, just a mans voice.

Be very careful
Thanks

Called 1/17/10 and told our office that we could save hundreds of money by "updating" our services.  Only a billing issue, according to Georgia Scott at extension 104.  The more I pressed, she finally revealed to me that she was an "authorized partner" with Verizon - AND NOT VERIZON.  I then asked for my account number, and she had it perfect.  I called Verizon to ask excatly how she obtained my information, and they couldn't tell me.  Mystery.

Caller told me he was going to change my bill from $400/ month to $149.99 including our "DSL" line no extra charge for caller ID or long distance calls. Seemed to know what my bill was but who keeps their bills by the telephone? Oh bye the way we have FIOS and haven't had a DSL line in 2 years.

talked with a nice woman named Erica Leeks, and she said that she was with Verizon business.  She set me up by calling a while back and saying that we needed to renew our contract, and then she called about 3 months ago, and said she could save us money if we switched to the Expansion pack program(Freedom essentials for business).  She and her'manager' Matthew insisted that it would save us money.  After much deliberation, we agreed, and it has been a disaster.  $200 higher the first month, and $500 higher the next month.  They do not tell the truth.  It seems to be all about sales.

Shawn Willis called saying he was from Verizon and that our contract was about to expire and we'd have to pay more. I have been getting calls at least once a week from people saying they are from Verizon wanting to updated our account. When I told him this he got hostile and said it was impossible. He kept trying to argue so I hung up and he called back! I told him to give me his phone # (888-299-0253x103) so that I could talk to my boss and call him back.  He was quite a jerk.

I received a call from "Eddie" at 888-299-0253 ext 103 asking me to update my "press 9 to dial out" lines for my business.    I asked him why they didn't send out a mailer.  He said that too many people were throwing them away so they just started calling people to get them to "renew".  I told him I wasn't authorized to approve anything.  I wrote down his number and called back to see who the number went to.  The recorded messge that picks up doesn't identify a company, I connected to "customer service" and when she answered she just answered "Customer service".  I asked for what company and she said "Verizon, your land line service".  I was a little skeptical at first, but now I know that this is a scam.  Do not update your information with these peoplle.

When I returned a call to this number, after they had called here several times, their recording is, "Thanks for calling" and there is no company identified.  When I spoke with "customer service" I asked what company it is and she said Venicom.  Then she went on to say that they are a partner with Verizon.  Sounds like a scam to me.  I'm not accepting any more calls from them.  Venicom has several negative posts on the Internet.

Calls several times a day asking personal questions saying they are from Verizon and they will interrupt our service after hours, and have a service pack of $40.00- says our voicemail message will no longer be active. Says he will mail a package- I doubt he will- instead- I believe he will mail a big fat bill- we aren't idiots ya know!! First guy: "Account Manger who has been in business for 3 months: Emmanuel Gordon" and "Omar who has been with them for 7 years". The "Account manager is the one that makes the most harrassing calls".
