Got the same my name was drawn $25,000 winner crap. This is a scam, and I hope no one falls for it. I'm sure they'll suck you in and ask for a credit card # eventually.

Heidi, just called and left a message.  Same as above...I couldn't understand where I filled out a form.  I never fill out forms to win anything...
She called from 888-300-5799,   Said I should call back. 888-301-4263 # 220. To claim my win. My name was drawn last night!
Caller ID read. IVC

Message was as follows:

?I didn't see you. Your name was called last night. So give me a call back at 8888613739. Again that number is 8888613739 extension nine two five.?

Fraudulent callers use this ploy to get people to respond thinking they have 'won' something.  Naturally to claim your 'prize' you have to give them all sorts of information.  This is a scam, and one that I have heard often in a variety of set-ups.  Respond at your own risk.

We are unlisted and on the DNC list.  We do not give out our phone number except to very trusted individuals, certainly not with any expectation that our name would be called for any reason.  This voice was nobody we know, but the little "I didn't see you" is certainly a new level of BS for these types of calls.  Honestly, these telescammers are the lowest of the low.  Whatever bad karma is in store for them, they deserve it and more.

Pretty much the same message as others have mentioned was left on my voice mail. I'm adding them to blocked callers.

Got a call from Abby and my name was drawn last night to win a $25,000 shopping spree because I entered my name in a contest in the last year!  Really, why are we even reporting these?  Is anyone doing anything about it?  NO!!!  Sick of the calls

888 300 5799 ID'd as unknown caller. I did not answer but they left a long spewing message about my name being drawn as a winner for $25,000.  Oh yes, what a scam. Probably one of those "You send me $5000, and I will mail you the $25,000. It ain't gonna happen.  Don't answer numbers you do not recognise.

DirectBuy is a legitimate company that offers "below" market pricing on many home goods, flloring, carpeting, furniture, etc.  My personal knowledge; we joined some years ago, and you pay at least two thousand smackers charged month to month on your credit card (I think there's a discount if you pay up front) in order to "save" on future purchases.  It sounded great because our daughter was establishing a new home a thousand miles away and we wanted to help her flesh it out.   When we compared the "below" market prices with real world prices the bargains were illusory, especially since sales taxes were on top of the BMP's....

Expensive learning lesson.

Received a call from Brooklyn.  She left a voice-mail.  Brooklyn could use a few speech lessons as it was difficult to understand her!  Brooklyn said my name had been pick from a drawing.  Never entered a drawing and never would.  888-300-5799 call back 888-880-2403 Ext# 434.  Consider this:  It may have been Eric Holder, NSA, IRS, Hillary Clinton or BIG BROTHER is listening.

I've been getting these calls for over a year now despite being on the DNC list. Every time they say 'my name was picked last night.' I just delete the message every time. Maybe I should report it so hopefully they can get shut down again.

DNS listed to 10+ years.. screwed up and picked up..(was waiting for a call back from at&t).. Brooklyn notification..  blah,, blah.. blah..   Number is now in my blocked list.

Please someone stop these people from calling me at work!

Gave 'em a taste of their own medicine if they call back from the same number.  I forwarded all calls from them to 218-488-1302 -- a fake recorded "mental health" help line.  :o)

I too received several messages on my answering machine from Brooklyn 1 (888) 880-2403 X434 but the caller ID says 1(888)300-5799.  I'm suppose to be a finalist for a $25,000 shopping spree or cash.  After the 3rd message I decided to call the number back and another lady who said Brooklyn wasn't there said she would help me.  I told her I don't recall entering anything and she asked for my name, which I gave her...dumb. anyways, I'm suppose to go to the local Direct Buy this saturday.  It's a 90 minute tour and if I'm early I will get free tickets for meals.  I'm suppose to bring a six digit code with me that she gave me. I was told that after the tour I will receive 2 roundtrip airline tickets or cruise tickets for attending.  I asked her how we could get airline tickets or cruise tickets when we haven't planned when we will use them.  After reading all of your posts I tried call them back which is 9p.m. central time...no answer. I tried the caller ID number (888) 300-5799 and recording says it's not in service. (?)

I got the same call...was told to call 888-880-2403...I did and told the woman to take my # off their call list...she hung up on me before I finished...does anybody know how to report those kind of calls if you're on the do not call list????

I got a call from this number (888-300-5799)  and they left a voicemail that it was a girl named "Brooklyn" and she said we entered a $25,000 shopping spree and our name was PICKED".  Notice she said picked, not won. We have not entered any contests and I knew it was a scam.  She said to call her back at 888-300-2403 ext 434 (yet ANOTHER number.

Got a call from this # and when I answered no one said anything but the line was still connected. I am being inundated by ppl like this even tho on the do not call list. Report to FTC.

"Joey" left a message that my name was picked from entering in a drawing for a sports car. I've won either a BMW 528xi or a Porsche Boxster. Yet another number to add to my call blocking.

Hey Florida Guy, the idiots making these trash/junk calls could care less about the DNC registry.  All real legit businesses do follow the law and don't call people.  Many have commented that the calls they are getting are scam calls, they are scamming people and could care less if they are breaking the law and harass people with their calls.
