Please stop calls from this number

This number called my answering machine...I heard some random noise and then the wispered word "b***h"....I figured that some jerk had too much time on their hands and access to an 888-phone.  I also get calls from 888-888-8888 that just aren't there when I awnswer

they just called me..it's a telemarketer wanting to talk to us about our "yellow page" listing which we DON'T HAVE. he insisted that we had a listing. i told them to take me off the list and promptly ended the call.

i used to get many hangups from this number, which is probably b/c their automatic dialer wasn't working properly; unfortunately, it appears to have been fixed....

This number has called me 20 times in the last 2 days!  


PLEASE STOP!

I have been getting these calls through my business line also and get the hangup when I answer!  I wish I could remember to let it fall into voicemail when they call!!  This is getting really old.....what good is the Do Not Call registry doing with these calls?????

I don't like getting automatic voice messages from this 888 #.  Can you stop them from calling?

This number has called three times today. The 3rd time I answered and they somehow knew my name and asked for me. I asked who it was, he said he was Ivan with On-Line Education. I told him I didn't need on-line education, and to please not call again.

I have gotten the samething 3 times today and the thing is i have a prepaid phone and it wastes my minutes. it is realy irratating i never know if these ppl are sserious or not and it really ticks me off.

Same as all the others, just a ring message but not one speaks for 15 seconds.  So far just the one, they have to go through the electronic switch board and pick an option.  Seems anyone can keep a 800 number if the pay.  Just thought I would put in my thought also.

I keep getting calls from this number too.  On my business line and they hang up when I answer. ID says 888-301-1582

I have received 14 calls from this number in the past week. They always have Eastern Indian type accents, tell me they are calling from the "Real Local Yellow Pages" and that I just need to update my listing with them. I tell them I don't list with them, and they try to explain that it is a "Complementary" listing. I say, No, Thanks! Please stop calling me! But they call anyway. I have read some other posts about the "Real Local Yellow Pages" and it appears they trick you into thinking they are free and when you say "yes" to their updated listing, they begin to charge for the listing.  Never say "yes".

They called my business line went, to Accounts Payable Voicemail (Male Voice) Left this message he left " Is the Person that, Hello, Hello, Hello" Then hangsup

i have received numerous calls from this number and there is no one on the other end.  they just called my business line today (5/30/08)and it was a person this time, instead of a hangup. they asked to speak with the "person in charge of advertising".  they sd. it was regarding our "yellow pages listing". i told them we don't have yellow pages advertising and to take me off their list. They tried to tell me that I don't understand that I have a listing.  i have  vongage phone service so i KNOW they are not from the local yellow pages. if i get another call from them, i am going to report them.  this may be the same type of scam as i receive every once in a while in the mail, requesting that i "update" my yellow page listing.  when i read the fine print, once you sign and return the "updates" you are entering into a contract for something like 50./mo. for a listing in one book (with a yellow page logo) in a specific area and is not affiliated with any local yellow pages.

Have received several calls from 888-301-1582 over the past few weeks.  Person waits to hear my outgoing voice mail message, and then leaves no message, but I can hear voices in the background.  Sometimes caller breathes into phone; sometimes sounds as if he's eating.  I answered a call from the number yesterday and did not say anything.  He waited a few seconds, then said "Hello?" and then hung up quickly.  That is why I know it's a male.  I also get calls with "Unknown" on my caller ID.  I'm convinced it's the same person.  If I continue to get calls, I'm contacting the police.  When I call the number back, I get only a busy signal.

Same as Scott R. Get calls from this number several times per day, always hang up as I answer...This is also my business line.  Tryed calling the number and it does not connect to anything... # is 888-301-1582 on my caller ID.

I keep getting a call from this number.  Every time I answer, they hang up.  This is really annoying because they are calling on a business line.

They hung-up as soon as I answered the phone. I have received two calls from this number and they never speak when I answer.
