These people are complete idiots. They use an auto dialer and it repeatedly calls a phone number, whether or not you are the person they are trying to find or not. What the hell. How is this even allowed? We've received numerous automatic phone calls with an automatic voice message...when you call back, you either get no answer or they have no clue who you are. What idiots, they need to be stopped harassing innocent people. They cannot and will not confirm anything legit.  Put them on your do not answer and report them for violating FDCPA and report them to your states Att. General office. They need to be sued and put out of business. Complete morons...we owe no debt to anyone and cannot get them to stop calling us everyday on auto dial. What the hell!

Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan has filed a lawsuit against a Chicago debt collection agency for allegedly using unfair tactics, intimidation and misrepresentations to convince consumers to make payments when, in some instances, the consumers never owed the money.

The lawsuit names Leading Edge Recovery Solutions, L.L.C., as the defendant. Leading Edge Recovery Solutions, an Illinois limited liability corporation based in Chicago, collects debts on behalf of various entities, including credit card and installment debts.

Read more: "Illinois Sues Debt Collector" - consumeraffairs.com
Leading Edge Recovery Solutions, LLC
5440 N. Cumberland Ave., Suite 300
Chicago, IL 60656-1490
Main Line: 800-663-4707

Here are ways you can report this company:

Federal Trade Commision - The Federal Trade Commission does not investigate each individual complaint, but if they notice many complaints coming in on one company they will investigate them.

If you feel like they ave harassed you in several contacts with you report each contact as a separate complaint.

It is not up to you do decide if they broke the law in their contact. That is the job of the Federal Trade Commission to investigate claims.

Illinois Attorney General - The Illinois Attorney General is already suing them for violating collection Agency Laws. You do not have to be a resident of Illinois to report them.
naag.org

Your State's Attorney General should also be notified if they have harassed you.

Better Business Bureau - File complaints with both the Chicago Better Business Bureau, because that is where they are located and with your local BBB.

You can search for "Leading Edge Recovery Solutions" to view the report AND file a complaint. The report states, "Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the BBB due to a pattern of complaints and has failed to correct the underlying reason for the complaints."

The Federal Communication Commission - If they have called your cellphone with an automated dialer they fall under the same rules as telemarketers.

You can report them for violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act

No company should be allowed to continually robo-dial people like this.

P.S. I'm also very leery of the message I've seen posted that you can email help@leadingedgerecovery.com. I fear that is a scam too. If they do not stop calling me, I will email them, but I will do so from a brand new, totally anonymous email account.

Your reply assumes that every one being contacted by them, is actually in debt, or the person that they are trying to collect from. In our case, they call our company phone, before we open for business. when they leave a voice message, they never leave a name of the person they're trying to contact, and their messages sound more like a scam artists in their wording. Using phrases like; "time sensitive matter", "special offer", et cetera. The couple of times one of our employees answered early, they just hung up.... Now we have no business with them, and we are not in collections for anything. But they call anyways. either a wrong number in dialing, or a wrong number in the information they have for the number.... Or it is a scam...

I do find it interesting that the very first post is so pro on this number. It's like somebody who would be calling for this number preemptively posted to make the call seem legitimate. Which could indicate an actual fraudulent scam. Like a phishing for personal info to commit Identity Theft scam. the scam works this way. They call people, act like the person has a debt or money coming. They verify you by asking your name, social security number, address, et cetera. Then they either make up a collector or tell you they can not find you in the system. they however have just gotten your person information that anyone could use to commit ID theft.

Here's some facts you should know.
Put your number on the Do Not Call Registry. If they call you and they do not have business with you, they have violated the Do Not Call regulations. However if you are the person they are trying to collect from, they can call you. Next, they have to follow some very specific rules when they do call you, otherwise they are breaking the law. Rule one: They have to state who they are as a person, and what company they are an employee for, at the beginning of the call or voice message. Such as "This is John Smith with ABC collections". next, depending on the state you live in or the state your area code is assigned to., and note I said the state YOU live in, not the state that they are calling from, there are time restrictions of when they can call. Most states prohibit solicitation or debt collection calls before 8 am in the morning and after 8 pm at night. However it is best to check your individual state, because some states have different hours. Next and most importantly, if they do or say anything that is harassive or threatening, including tone of voice, what is said, raising their voice, arguing, et cetera, they have violated FCC and FTC regulations as well as committed a crime of phone harassment. And finally the most important one, no debt collector or telemarketer is ever allowed to contact you by cell phone. Once again they can NOT call your cell phone number, ever. It is totally 100% prohibitive for them to call your cell phone. They are also not allowed to contact you at your work, nor are they allowed to contact business numbers.

The best thing to do if for everybody who gets a call from a telemarketer or debt collection agency, to always file a complaint with the FTC each and every time.

File complaints with

SINCE A COMPUTER IS CALLING YOU THEN REPLY WITH SOMETHING AN AUTO-DIALER RECOGNIZES,

A DISCONNECTED NUMBER TONE.

MAKE THAT YOUR VOICE RECORDING FOR A FEW WEEKS. THE LIVE PEOPLE WHO KNOW ME WILL JUST CALL ME ON ANOTHER NUMBER. I JUST TELL THEM I'M DOING IT TO STOP A ROBO SURVEY. ANY AUTO-DIALER RECOGNIZES THAT SERIES OF TONES AND IT SHOULD DROP YOUR NUMBER FROM THEIR LIST AND PUT YOU IN THE BAD NUMBER FILE.

what you say is not true every one pays for there phone number and if a person pays for the unlisted number the phone co in obligated by the conyract between you to do what you pay for, these collection agencys buy list as well as what is referred to as shot gun names , they go thru by computer all names in an area that come close to matchijngf a person they are looking for. I have gone to a private investigation company.and they arranged to have the numbers being used to be forwarded to there agent when they answer they quote the law and identify them selves  and usually get hungup on they then call right back and either it is not answered or theyget hung up on again after so many calls they turned it over to our att, gen, office . the calls stopped then started again different number and name this time but turns out same people this time their own state is being informed and the feds that they are useing false names and leading people to believe they are some law enforcement agency.

This message is for anyone receiving repeated, unwanted robocalls from Darryl Rose, Richard Silver, Vincent Gray, Hank Salmon, Tom Gold, etc.  These are fictitious names associated with Leading Edge Recovery Solutions, a debt collector with questionable business practices.  I STRONGLY urge you to file a complaint with the FCC and the FTC.  This can be done online at their websites very easily.  You may not get an individual response from them, but the more complaints they see, (hopefully) the sooner they will shut these guys down.  Even better for you as an individual, file a complaint with the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU of CHICAGO, IL.  Again, this is easily done on their website.  The difference is that you will get a very prompt, personal response.  In my case, the robocalls ceased very quickly!  I urge you not to let these guys continue to harass you.  Fight back!

We get these calls from Darrell Rose too, almost daily. When we do answer them, its a recording that never stated who the call is for. I did call back once and no one could find anything in their records under our name, just a phone # and said they would stop the calls. GUESS WHAT! We still get them daily! We get calls for the person who had our ph# prior to us and for the people who lived at this address yrs ago. Some collectors think that we are lying to get out of paying but when we try to explain that we bought this property at a foreclosure sale and its very possible that the former owner had many other delinquent debts, they don't want to hear it. We have gone so far as to get the collectors name, address, reference# and any other info they will give us and then sent Cease and Desist letters. This has stopped some of them.

There is no reason for this person to be calling our phone number. Please, if you can, resolve this issue or I will take other legal steps against this person.

These calls are scams trying to attain information from people that are unsuspected of what is going on. They will try and get you to give your SS# and DOB so that they may try and resolve the situation.  So, when they asked me for mine I gave them 1800 kiss my A**? And, then hung up. If you are able to block these calls do so or do what I do enter them as A** Hole calling D/N Answer I even have a special ringtone that says A** Hole Calling.
Never give any information over the phone that has to do with your account numbers, SS#, DOB or name and Address. Banks will never ever ask you for your pin to your accounts or will they ever call you just because. If you know that you owe a Bank then, yes they will call to collect their money but you already know you owe money to this Bank plus they will send you a letter before hand.  This I know because family member is a banker.
Oh, and by the way 1888, 1800, and 1866 numbers are almost always telemarketers and or scams.
Falling for nothing,

I called back and received a nice welcome from a person that asked me if I was another person. I informed him that this person had no affiliation with me although I had received multiple inquiries for this individual over the years. Isaac stated immediately that he would be taking my phone # out of the person's personal record that was submitted to 'Darrel Rose Collections Agency' or whatever they may be called.

I have to give him credit though- they are persistent! I'm glad I pay my bills.
